Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

I wonder how Palin justifies her(and Todd's) ties to the Alaskan Independence Party, who want to see Alaska separate from the rest of the USA. Their founder has said some pretty un-American things in the past, yet Palin found it necessary to commend their work just this spring, telling them to keep up the good work (of convincing Alaskans to vote for separation).

This is the person who would be #2 to a man that sat in a POW cell while defending the same UNITED States of America. How in the world did she look her son in the eye when he shipped out to defend the UNITED Stated of America?

This is obama, my friends. Obama is a radical liberal guy who has no credibility to become our President. He is trying to avopid serious questions about himself. Obama is a total fraud.

Sorry ditsy Palin; you're just way too ignorant for the American people... because of the stupidity you continually spew and replicate from the McCain camp. It not only makes you look even more stupid because you do NOT have ONE CLUE what is going on but now just an ugly, ugly person. We do NOT want, nor will we tolerate any ignorance and ugly in any public leadership position EVER again!

You're not in your little gossip town anymore... you are a tourist to the rest of our country! You already know that we call tourists MAGGOTS! You mizz Palin are no different than a MAGGOT!

Congratulations for your Miss McMAGGOT title... I can't think of anyone better than you to deserve the title!

More McCain-Palin lies! How about your involvement with Charles Keating & the Savings & Loan Scandal Senator McCain? Senator McCain was admonished by the senate for his actions with his friend Keating. How about the gifts & trips you got from Keating Senator McCain? As for Gov Palin if you have nothing to hide why are you trying to stop the investigation of you in Alaska?

Bring it on McCain/Palin. Let the nation see your whining, evil, defeated ways. They will go down fighting, but the key part of the statement is that they will go down. Where I live, I have only seen one positive campaign ad for McCain, and that was over a month ago. Since then all of his campaign ads are attack ads that nobody believes because they have already been fact checked. Obama shows ads that tell about his health care plan and the positive things he hopes to accomplish. I know what I would rather hear.

McCain/Palin – nothing positive to say about themselves (only smearing the competition)
Obama/Biden – giving the nation a sense of hope and change to come

It was only a matter of time before they brought up the same old debunked charges. Throw enough lies around and something might stick. There is no regard for integrity in the McCain campaign... they must really be getting desperate.

Shameless McCain/Palin. Can you talk about issues rather than attacks? It never worked before and never will. Shame on you. What about Troopergate?

Oh, please. Here we go, the duo who promised to conduct an honorable campaign are now going to decend to an historic low in an effort to salvage a failing campaign. Karl Rove must be so proud!

This is ridiculous! McCain & Palin have absolutely nothing to run on so now they are going to try to scare the American people with a bunch of non truths about Obama. I hope the American people will see through this, and figure it is desparation on the part of McCain & Palin. If the American people believe this, then they deserve everything they have coming!

Sarah Palin acts like she is running for President. I think that Freudian slip a few weeks ago was really just her blind ambition and that empty head of hers. Her blind ambition is going to get the best of her this week and I hoping it will be while she is here in CA. It will probably happen trying to answer a reporter's question. Go get her media.

I think I'll just turn off the TV and radio from now on when Palin and McCain come on. This is clearly their next step in the campaign: to lie through their teeth the discredit a man who will rebuild what the Republican administration of Bush and McCain have torn down!

I've lost all respect for McCain, and Palin is following him around like a poor dumb puppy.

Media should speak for the country's sake. This woman has no brain function regarding moral, truth, justice, decency, integrity, peace, love. She really is not in this level. Maybe Carl Rove's house. But she only have 1% Rove's brain. I doubt Rove will accept her.

Palin, nomore negative attacks of this nature. A recent polls show that Americans are weary of this kind of stuff. By the way, the real issues related to the economy are hitting hard enough for anyone to be distracted...so change tactics!

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....

    * If you grow up in Hawaii , raised by your grandparents, you're 'exotic, different.'

    * Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, yours is a quintessential American story.

    * If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

    * Name your kids Willow , Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

    * Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

    * Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded.

    * If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black

President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that

Registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law

professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over

750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human

Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state

of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs,

Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any

    real leadership experience.

    * If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6

years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the

governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become

the country's second highest ranking executive and next in line behind a man

    in his eighth decade.

    * If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful

daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

    * If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and then left your disfigured wife

and married the heiress the next month, you're a true Christian.

    * If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of

birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

    * If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex

education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up

    pregnant, you're very responsible.

    * If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious

Law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to

raise a family, your family's values don't represent America 's.

    * If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI conviction and

no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a

member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your

    family is extremely admirable.

OK, that makes it much more clearer now.

Please help me send this around the world.
