Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.
In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

This kind of political behavior is disgusting and borderline libel. It is the desperate act of a desperate party. Palin is the terrorist.

Her statement was probably made with a wink, a nudge, and a nose-crunch, so how true could it possibly be?

No surprise that desperate McCain would try to defame his opponent by bringing up something that happened when he was 8 years old. McCain has no plan, nothing constructive for America.

Palin has proved she is a true Republican.

    Shame on both of them.

Palin is truly a liar. Lies, lies, lies. How stupid does McCain think we are. How many republicans can you really get to hate America? I hope not that many. But republicans are clearly running an anti-American campaign this year. They need to be smacked down.

I am an American. I will be voting for Barack Obama. A true American success story.

Sounds like the "silly" season is in bloom. Apparently McCain-Palin (or is it Palin-McCain) can't win honestly so they're resorting to complete nonsense. Do people really want such power hungry people in the White House? With Palin wanting more power than Cheney, McCain may need to watch his back and get a food taster, should he become President.

Hopefully the American public will be able to see through these "throw the kitchen sink" last-ditch efforts by the McCain camp.

Now that the McCain camp has realized that they will not be able to get the American public to pick McCain, they will try hard to scare the public NOT to vote for Obama.

With the economy the way it is, though, I have a tough time thinking that the public will shift focus...

McCain will do absolutely anything to get in the White House – even lose what little shred of integrity he had left in allowing this kind of garbage to spew forth. I hope people see through the ploy being foisted upon them and act/react accordingly: make sure Obama/Biden are the ones that will be elected President and Vice President.

These Statements show the desparation of the McCain-Palin, This also show Sarah palins pure stupidity and lack of knowledge of the issues. This is just a continuation of the Bush administration tactics! Using fear to sway people's votes! As a Christian I think that Sarah Palin should be ashamed of herself, and this woman calls herself a Christian! LOL! Christ clearly taught that the The Spirit of Fear is not of or given by God! So why is she trying to place fear in people? Who do they think they are going to fool with their fear-mongering? Not Me, I used to vote republican but now I am voting for Obama All the way!!! GO OBAMA!!!!

It is obvious that the McCain campaign is desperate and will do or say anything to take away attention from the fact that they do not have any plans to get Americans out of the mess their party has created. For someone who likes to toss around the word "honor" their actions couldn't be more dishonorable. However, at this time in the campaign the public does not want to hear this crap from either party. They want to know who plans to help them stay in or get a home, put food on the table, save their jobs and stop the warmongering. We are tired of these ridiculous personal attacks. Sarah Palin is robotic spewing whatever is written for her and this is evident since she can't speak straight without a podium and a speech or notes in front of her.

This comment is directed at the core Repub base which believe the inuendo thrown BOs way. The hope to attract new voters? I don't know if it will work. I would hope that the voters would be more thoughtful. I am certain Palin never heard of Ayers before being provided the talking point of the day since she doesn't read newspapers. There is another high-ranking republican that doesn't read much. Oh ya... GWB.

I'm waiting for the idiots to respond to this by saying that Barack Hussein Obama is a terrorrist and a muslim and will harm this country. Let me show you how ignorant you will sound....John McCain is a terrorist, he name is similar to Timothy McVeigh (OKC bomber). Mr. bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb Iran must be a terrorist. Let's round up all those people that look like McCain and McVeigh and send them to Gitmo Bay. Do you see how ignorant you can be?

How delightfully deceptive of her, and thanks to CNN for a very deceptive headline as well. Does McCain realize that her craziness is getting into the news more than any of his policies? I guess you might call that a flaw in HIS judgment.
