Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.
In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

McCain is reducing himself to something he said he would NEVER let himself do..It's a pity he cant campaign honorably like he swore to..I guess desperation brings out the best in people..McCain you make me sick..this is not the way my heroes fight! You know this has to backfire on you. The economy is too big a story to be sidetracked it will come back to bite you big time..It's too bad you cant concentrate on what is really worrying your "friends"..THE ECONOMY..I guess you have no real solutions or ideas there..Huh????

ANCHORAGE, Alaska– An Alaska judge has refused to block the state investigation into whether Gov. Sarah Palin abused her power when she fired Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan this summer.

Attorneys argued over the proposed temporary restraining order to block the Legislature's investigation on Thursday.

This is why she trying to put the attention on Senator Obama..

Wow, here he go... They can't beat Obama with issues concerning America, so they're going to go on the low-road. Here's a great example that McCain-Palin are not running for the people, but running for themselves. I'm still an undecided voter, but every single day my vote is traveling more and more towards Obama.

Oh Sarah, you should be careful!

For someone who has a husband that is the member of an Alaska separatist group and the member of a radical church that seeks to convert gays and Jews, you sure talk a lot of bs!

Unlike Ms Palin, William Ayers can connect the dots from one thought to the next and speaks and writes intelligently.
I would bet some of our worthless US dollers that Ms Palin had no clue
about 60's radicals and the Weathermen until someone in the McCain group said "Here, say this."
    It is interesting th

Shame, shame, shame on you, Sarah Palin. You tout yourself as a loving Christian but freely and gleefully lie at every opportunity. Shame, shame, shame on you. Every lie is a sin, without exception.

Palin is desperate for power. She is offensive to it's extreme. No one likes you now and you will have no place in this country for another hundred years!

It seems pretty silly to try to distract attention from the economy when that's the issue most critical to Americans' well being these days.... It doesn't inspire much confidence in McCain that he would waste our time with such trivia at a time of such grave peril.

It's about time McCain/Palin come out swinging about Obama, his ties with Ayers, etc. and his rhetoric! He has yet to say anything but fluff while people follow him blindly. Wise up America!

Just goes to show what a lying, shameless bunch of thugs McShame/Palin are. Truly despicable, and utterly desperate. I guess when you're losing as badly as they are, they can't run on real solutions and a positive tone. They have nothing but the albatross of George Bush, Dick Cheney, and McCain's own 26 years of failed, angry policies to weigh them down. They can tread water all they like, but in the end it is their own party, and their own failed policies, combined with Mrs. Folksy, eye-winking Palin as an extremely poor choice on the part of McCain, that will sink them to the bottom.
The liars have been in the White House for 8 years, believing in their own dark medicine, and feeding it to us in ever larger doses.
But behind their jaded eyes, lies the truth, and their dilemma.
Vote them out on Nov. 4, like a political tsunami rolling across this great land, and let's right this ship....

Sarah Palin is nothing but a liar. Years ago there was a dance called the "Twist". It perfectly fits her campaign. She has become nothing more than a political hooker, prostituting any way she can to get elected. GOD save us and forgive us if we put these two liars in power.

Sarah Palin is a despicable human being. The fact that the McCain campaign is stooping to this level of political maneuvering out of desperation indicates the total lack of capability to lead this nation forward at this most crucial time in history. Running a campaign based upon character when our country is in such desperate straights and our citizenry is in such dire need of leadership and ideas just shows that McCain and Palin both would be completely incompetent as President of the United States. Simply pathetic!

Say it ain't so, Sarah. How soon Ms. Palin forgets her Christian roots. I believe the person she claims to follow was accused of sedition and crucified for these false accusations. In fact, one of the charges laid agianst him was the he "hung with the wrong people (my paraphrase)" Perhaps were she present in that time, she could have been one of the Pharisees bearing false witness, since it seems she does that so well.

Sarah Palin is a complete moron, what else does she have to campaign on other than lies. Those of us who can actually read and write new that the first time she opened her mouth. Sarah go home , hold your baby and try and teach your children some morals even though you don't have any of your own.

This is definitely a new low from McCain campaign. Why they don't stick to the reality and talk about the issues! Palin should learn some more about their platform and focus on that instead of mudslinging!
