Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

Palin, you are a disgrace to our country. I am truly fed up with senseless attacks on Obama. Do your homework next time you cite your "punchlines". Don't make me send Katie Couric on you.

I guess when you have nothing to offer you have to attack those who do. Gov Palin obviously doesn' t pay attention to detail as shown in her few media appearances and false claims. Thanks, but no thanks Gov Palin!

Obama's character is WHY so many people are moved by him. Obama's judgement is exactly what we need in the White House
We do not need the likes of John McCain sitting on the RED button and we surely do not need a "character" like Sarah Palin, with her 10th grade attitude representing Americans. This is foolish – and let them attack – they are loosing such ground, they have no choice. Although I was undecided about a month ago – the more I listened to Palin, read McCains Plans (what little there are of them) I've moved to BLUE. I am so sick of the republican tactics.

McCain/Palin are ruthless liars. They distort the truth and attack because they do not have plans for the countries problems. They should both shut up and go home.

what a sorry attack by the bridge and road to nowhere, troopergate having, don't even read the news paper, much less cite an article Palin. She should spend her time reading more so as not to come off like an idot, who's only attribute is the ability to regurgitate right wing talking points. Palin, McCain, radical right wingers and Osama like extremist must think that the American public must be stupid.

This is it. The Republican sleaze machine is turned ON. Now it is for the people to decide whether to buy this crap again in 2008.

As for Palin, may be she ought to read the article at NY Times completely. It said Obama has no connection to Ayers. I thought she reads everything and anything infront of her.

Everytime Palin opens her mouth, it's driving me nuts. The moron should shut up.

McCain hasn't learned has he? The more negative he and his Palin the Puppet get the more they prove that they have nothing to offer the people of the United States because all they have is smear. I think someone involved in an abuse of power struggle should keep her mouth shut. It is not her first abuse of power aligation and I'm sure it won't be her last.

Just because she can repeat the words her GOP 'keeper's shoved down her throat does not make her VP material.

They won't allow her to do another interview with anyone not on FOX because anyone of any intelligence will ask her questions she can't answer – like do you read? HELLO! She couldn't answer that question and felt that Couric was attacking her? Give me a break.

I wish the election season was over, it goes on too long and I wish McCain and Palin the Puppet were safely back in the states they live in and can do damage to just Alaska and Arizona.

This is just the beginning of the attacks. Unfortunatly for McCain this is all old news and thanks to Hillary Clinton, Obama is more than capable of handleing the "Kitchen Sink" strategy. She made him a stronger candidate and a better man. Thank you for that. This is a new era, the country will no longer be fooled by divisive attacks. This country can only be rebuilt through unification not division. Sorry McCain it is no you time. This time only a man of honor and respect will be our President and that is Barack Obama.

What about your subpoena-dodging?. What about the warmonger making propaganda film for Viet Nam? Those are directly attributed to the two of you.

Wow, what a statement by Sarah Palin. Would somebody please tell me why people even bother to listen to her anymore. She and the McCain camp have hit a new low, to the already record-breaking low of their campaign.
