Obama campaign rejects Palin 'terrorist' gibe

Gov. Palin said Saturday that Sen. Obama sees America as 'imperfect.'

(CNN) - Barack Obama's campaign has quickly rejected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's claim that he associated "with terrorists who targeted our own country."

Palin attacked Sen. Obama on Saturday for his brief political relationship with Bill Ayers, a founding member of the radical Weather Underground, which was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including attacks on the Pentagon and the Capitol. Obama was a child at the time of the bombings.

Obama and Ayers, now a university professor, have met several times since 1995, when both orked with a non-profit group trying to raise funds for a school improvement project and a haritable foundation. CNN's review of project records found nothing to suggest anything nappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved.

A CNN Fact Check found Palin's charge to be false.

  1. For Obama!!

As HUGE of a Religious Person Palin is… She is going to go to Hell for Lying. Not one thing of truth has come from this womans mouth. Fact Check.org proves this.

Most dont go and look at the FACTS which is sad, they go and vote blinded because they dont take the time. They take peoples word on what they say. Fact Check.org really needs to get on tv and put these facts on the screen, during the news, and flyers. People need to know the TRUTH not these distorted lies!! I check myself all the time and just cannot believe all the lies McCain/Palin camp spreads vs the Obama camp.

Sarah Palin may be reading more lately, but she is only skimming headlines and not reading or verifying the facts.

CNN. Why do you always headline Palin/Mccain trash??
We, the people, are getting so sick of your supporting
    the dishonorable swiftboating.

the desperation of John McCain is showing...the conservative columnist was right, the Republican pundits were right...John McCain showed bad and dangerous judgment choosing this ill equipped, empty headed and tragic VP pick Sarah Palin.she is as the repub pundits say a political gimmick. Now America has to suffer through McCain's attacks again? well Mr. McCain, just because you dont know how to use a computer, that does not mean WE dont! Google- Keating 5 then Google Lowell Paxson/John McCain/FCC

This is just more distraction from the McCain/Palin camp. They continue to avoid the real issues.

CNN – Why are there three articles about this nonsense. Stop stirring the pot and report real news. People out here are hurting financially and this type of smear tactics doesn't help anyone in our country. In 2000 it was gay marriage, 2004 it was swiftboating, 2008 it is Bill Ayers. If the MSM is happy with the last 8 years than continue to report this nonsense.

Independents – Please be smart enough not to fall for these ignorant traps. Obama could have run commercials about the Keating 5 which is more relevant to our economic situation now but he took the high road.

CNN please have some integrity and post real news.

  7. McCain is toast

Palin would do well to get her own scandals out of the way and read up on the Keating 5 before she dredges up ancient history.

Barack Obama is an honorable, trustworthy man.
Mccain/palin are liars, manipulators with no
    integrity.
The voters are too intelligent to believe anything these
    two phonies say.
We want to hear issues, policies and plans. They
cannot talk about these as they don't want us to
realize it would be four more years of Bush and
the republicans who have almost destroyed our
    country.

We Americans are fed up with the negative B S coming from politicians. I do not want to hear Mccain or Palin discuss personal attacks on Obama, I want to hear their plans in specifics and detail as to what they plan on doing to bring our country out of the many problems we are having. I am sick of all the attacks, they do not help me one bit.

    McCain...helloooo...
Do ya remember that little thing called economic meltdown? Yes that thing where people with no 9 houses are losing their only one? That thing where people are losing jobs, health insurance and even their cars? My father in law is not even taking 2 important prescriptions because of cost. What are you planning to do about all that? Dont you think we deserve more respect?

And they said that Gov. Palins wasn't a quick study. She sure caught on to the DC Rove style of politics in a big hurry! She'll be an insider in no time!

  13. McGimmick's gimmick FAILED!

What I want to know is the relationship with Todd Palin and the AIP. Any citizen of the United States lobbying succession from the United States shouldn't be allowed to SERVE in the United States nevetheless the White House.

This is nothing but more bad judgment from John McCain and his erratic decision making.

Gee, could Sarah Palin be any more obvious with these juvenile attacks about Ayers? I mean, COME ON... is THAT all the McCain-Palin have in their bags of tricks? RECYCLE old attacks yet again.

I find her stumping claim that the "heels are on and the gloves are coming off" a complete JOKE, coming from a BIMBO such a Gov. Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin proved Thursday that she's ABOSOLUTELY UNQUALIFIED to be Vice President, and the more we hear from her, the more she appears UNQUALIFIED TO BE GOVERNOR OF ALASKA as well.

I'm starting to think that John McCain GAMBLED AND LOST big time. He clearly made a very big MISTAKE in picking this woman as his VP. It showed how reckless and incompetent John McCain's judgement was/is, which brings us back to John McCain NOT being being qualified himself to be the next COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF! Bottom line.

doesn't surprise at all !! Instead focusing in the needs of America they decided to attack if America can't see how McCain and Palin priorities are then america is blind.

What a total joke this woman is and has been revealed to be.
McLoser and the beauty queen have resorted to sleezy Karl Rove tactics. Palin is nothing but a face and an act. She really is a pageant contestant with no substance…..an empty suit.

The Repugs and Bush are on the ropes…down in the poles and McOlds campaign is in total disarray. So what do they do?……
Forget about the number one topic on Americans minds… the economy….they attack Obama on the silliness politics.

That is why Americans are overwhelmingly rejecting McPain and PainLin…….

    OBAMA/BIDEN '08/12…………Real Leadership for America!

Hopefully the people of this great nation are as tired of hearing this kind of garbage as I am. The republicans are masters of this sort of thing, only this time, they have absolutely no substance to back their irresponsible rhetoric up. Obama is a much stronger candidate than Kerry was.

Oh and I know that it's important to get news on the web out fast, but just take a few more seconds to fix those typos, okay?

Apparently McCain/Palin can't win the election on their own merits, so the best option is to invent lies on Obama's patriotism. Anyone with half a brain can see this is just pure crap. I hope Obama throws this stuff in McCain's face on Tuesday night. We need to see his anger...

If you are offering nothing to the country all you have is mud slinging.
Palin had to have been fed this misinformation becuase there is no way she even knew who Professor Ayers was.
And let's look at who will benefit by her being in office and her ties.
How many reletives work for the oil companies in Alaska? What type of special favors will the companies drilling in Alaska get from her being VP? Think Cheney and Haliberton

  21. OBAMA THE SMART CHOICE

She must have read about that in the "ALL OF THEM" newspaper. Right next to the article about seeing LUCIFER in a funnel cake. Palin should go back to Alaska and hunt witches with her priest and let a decent republican run with McSame. Oh thats right... no decent republican would run with the ziz zag express, hence Palin.

The McStupid camp is going blind with the things that really matter to the people doing the voting. The more mistruths (lies) he and his camp spew the more turned off we become. What does he hope to gain from this kind of childish crap? If he hopes to do anything to help his bid for office he should stop with the lies....It makes him look like a lier and we all hate people who lie,let alone vote for them.
