Obama campaign rejects Palin 'terrorist' gibe

Gov. Palin said Saturday that Sen. Obama sees America as 'imperfect.'

(CNN) - Barack Obama's campaign has quickly rejected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's claim that he associated "with terrorists who targeted our own country."

Palin attacked Sen. Obama on Saturday for his brief political relationship with Bill Ayers, a founding member of the radical Weather Underground, which was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including attacks on the Pentagon and the Capitol. Obama was a child at the time of the bombings.

Obama and Ayers, now a university professor, have met several times since 1995, when both orked with a non-profit group trying to raise funds for a school improvement project and a haritable foundation. CNN's review of project records found nothing to suggest anything nappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved.

A CNN Fact Check found Palin's charge to be false.

I never thought I'd see the day that we had conspiracy nuts running for office. What's next? A claim that he is an alien in disguise?

Shame on the McCain/Palin campaign for pulling this kitchen sink strategy or is that tactic? Obama was approx 10 years old when the bombing happened. Ayers worked for Mayor Daley – does that make him a terrorist too? Didn't McCain once say that he would not question the patriotism of any of his opponents? I would suggest all those who are fed up with this kind of campaigning, flood the McCain web site with your outrage.

More lies from McSame and Failin'. They do not understand the issues, have no plan to help most people, and are flushing their own integrity down the toilet. Obama and Biden understand reality and have plans to help. Big, big difference between these two tickets.

The reality is that Palin is just trying to convince us that she regularly reads a newspaper (after all, she found an article that surprised her!).

Wow, one day after Sarah says we should not be looking backwards she herself if looking backwards and making up falsehoods that have been disproven at that. McCain and Palin are dishonorable Americans.

Although at times the Democratic primaries were contentious and pitted Democrat against Democrat, one positive thing that happened was that all this stuff came to light then. Ayers, Rev. Wright, Rezko...all of them are old news and have been discussed to death months ago. The Democratic primaries denied the McCain camp their "October surprise," so now when they trot out Ayers or Wright, it just seems like old news.

Ever since Gov. Palin's comment that McCain knew "how to win a war" a thought has been forming in the back of my mind – with her new wild statement about paling around with terrorists I have to ask what did McCain learn about war as the guest of North Vietnam? I also wonder what McCain told them during those years. That, too, was a war we could not win and should not have been involved in. They released him only after we left the country.

Sarah hasn't explained why Todd Palin was apart of an Alaskan Secession group from almost a decade and that she as governor was video taped at one of their rallies. This is alot worse in my opinion.

Palin in despicable. McCain has sold his soul. Both are liars through both commission and omission.

The campaign even admits that they are going 100% negative despite McCain's promise many month ago to keep the election clean and issue-related. Yet McCain's campaign is as dirty as it can get.

"America First"? Hardly. Their goal is self-interest and acquisition of power first. "Straight Talk"? Never, only lies, innuendo, distortions and half-truths. Shame on both of the Republican candidates. They degrade America by engaging in politics at its very worst.

Palin's claim is FALSE, according to a CNN FACT CHECK.

The pattern demonstrated by the McCain / Palin campaign suggests this FACT: McCain and Palin are LIARS.

I sometimes wish that when McCain and Obama meet that Sen Obama after shaking his hand would confront him on some of these lies his campaign has been trying to spread about him. Is there any wonder Sen McCain can not look Obama in the face when they debate? And Gov Palin is good at spouting venom moreso than being factual in her claims. And they say the McCain campaign offered "NO" response to these false allegations....I wonder why not. If you're going to put COUNTRY FIRST and shout USA when somebody disagrees with you at least run a more honest campaign.

    Gee, Sarah..."Say it isnt so"

What kills me most, is that the McCain campaign surrogates are out calling Obama a liar….using those actual words…

Just remember McCain, Palin and your surrogates….

"When you point a finger at Obama/ Biden, there are 3 fingers pointing at you."

McCain and the Keating 5, Telecom, McCains son Andrew and the Silver Bank closing 1 month after he resigned from the Accounting board, Palin and Troopergate, Rape kits, Road to Nowhere, another Bridge to Nowhere, Witchcraft, left Wasilla 2 mil. in debt...etc

WE wont be swiftboated this year…….We are a smarter America!!!!

There is little else for McCain – Palin to grab on, there are taking the less honorable low road again. Desperation should not push a nominee to desperate measure.

America deserves better. The McCain – Palin is digging themselves a bigger hole than the abyss the are already in now.

The repubs are doomed this year.

    Obama/Biden 08/12.

William Ayers – Founded Weather underground a radical underground movement that fought america's involvement in the much hated Vietnam war.

Fact: America lost the war in Vietnam with over 50,000 killed in action.
A war in a foriegn land where millions of natives too lost their lives. All for what? – to ensure people in other lands follow our ideals by force.

Today again we are in a far away land in Iraq trying to impose our will on others using force. 4000 plus american soldiers dead, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead.In doing so we are killing our own economy paying for the wars through our noses.

Iraqis never asked us to intervene to liberate them.

Now coming to the other of Obama's connections:

Reverand wright said – America got what it deserved on 9/11

Fact: CIA funded and created the religious Frankenstien Mujahideen to fight the godless Soviets in Afganistan. The Mujahideen after the Soviets left morphed into Taliban. After Soviets left Taliban turned on to the great Satan US. America's Frankenstien chickens indeed came home to roost.

Yet we call our land the shining city on the hill.

It is pathetic that Sarah Palin has to be asked to say those stupid stuff by Senator McCain. America is a more cival country and citizens are no longer willing to be treat with such disrespect by any politician. If Senator McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin cannot address at least one important issue, then they ought to stop wasting the money we have contributed towards the campagain with hateful and kitchen sink trash. Economy, education, energy, health care, global warming, etc. are the issues we should be hearing about and not other nonsense.

Sarah needs to spend some time reading up on what is important to the thinking voters in America. Obama sitting on a committee with some 60 radical is not going to fix the mess that the BUSHIES (and McCain) made in the last 8 years.

Anybody dumb enough to think that Sarah's witty rhetoric has anything more than a bunch of meaningless sound bites doesn't deserve to vote.
