Obama campaign rejects Palin 'terrorist' gibe

Gov. Palin said Saturday that Sen. Obama sees America as 'imperfect.'

(CNN) - Barack Obama's campaign has quickly rejected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's claim that he associated "with terrorists who targeted our own country."

Palin attacked Sen. Obama on Saturday for his brief political relationship with Bill Ayers, a founding member of the radical Weather Underground, which was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including attacks on the Pentagon and the Capitol. Obama was a child at the time of the bombings.

Obama and Ayers, now a university professor, have met several times since 1995, when both orked with a non-profit group trying to raise funds for a school improvement project and a haritable foundation. CNN's review of project records found nothing to suggest anything nappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved.

A CNN Fact Check found Palin's charge to be false.

Why did Palin feel it was necessary to lie in her introduction as selected VP, when she bragged about not building the bridge to nowhere?
She built the road to where the bridge was to be built, so people could drive to and from the airport rather than having to use a ferry to and from the airport.

She was showing that this made her a maverick. A maverick of deception.

    Let me get this straight.

Ms Palin wants us to hold Barack accountable for something SOMEONE ELSE did 40 years ago when Obama was 8 years old?

Ms Palin doesn't want us to hold the GOP presidential ticket accountable for what McCain DID over the past 8 years while being in lockstep with Bush & Cheney on MORE THAN 90% of George's initiatives.

Mrs. Palin is now a full fledged member of the dishonest & dishonorable Republican Party.

Take the gloves off and remind the US of the mess with the Keating 5 and Mr McSame's involvement. I don't find it possible that an 8 year old child thousand of miles away would really remember what Mr Ayers stood for in the early sixties!

The Gov. comments are divisive and disrespectful, and the more desperate the Republicans get the more Obama needs to talk about the real issues that all Americans care about and what kind of change he will bring to the White House.

Get into the issue..... I'm sick and tired of this crap... (lying, deceiving intentions, evil attack.) .....Let's FOCUS on ECONOMY, ECONOMY, ECONOMY !!!!! If you ( McCain and Palin) don't understand this, might as well go back to school and understand the FUNDAMENTALS OF ECONOMY!!!!!!

See... If he were running for president I wouldn't vote for him, even though we are of the same race; however he is no different than Sarah Palin, and yet the Racist White Wing Republican Party thinks that they can win the woman vote because they chose a female William Jefferson in Sara Palin; naw, women are wayyyyyyyyyyyy to smart for that

"Democrats Trust McCain – Obama , Is A Terrorist Sympathizer ."
Firstly, the majority of Democrats DO trust Obama and ARE voting for him, so I would get rid of the screen name if I were you.

Hey Sarah....Ever hear of Christianity 101 – Thou shalt not tell lies and falsehoods? Probably thinks because she's above the law in Alaska, she's above christian teachings, too!

I'm beginning to think this woman is a sociopath! She shows no emotion (i.e., slams Biden right after he had an emotional moment, using her kids for her own agend and political gain, etc.), and also lies without any sense of a conscience!

What a sad day for this country if those two con artists, McCain/Palin, get into office.

It would appear that the biggest contribution Sarah Palin makes to the McCain ticket is her ability and willingness to repeatedly spew vicious ( and previously discredited ) lies with a smile.

Uhhhh, Governor Palin ... do you really want to play the "relationship" card? It seems to me that you and John McCain both have past relationships that you might not want to have the electorate looking into? Let's see ... there's your ex-brother-in-law whose actions might be considered questionable ... and there's your husband's activities with the Alaskan Separatist group ... oh, and there's the Keating 5 ... Cindy's embezzlement from a charity group.

Obama living in the same neighbourhood and serving on the same charity ... it isn't a skeleton that's going to rattle to many of us!

Hey Palin haw about the fact that you are sleeping with a radical separatist who wants to break up the country and destroy America.

Your relationship with Todd a know and documented radial separatist is well documented. That is not the America i believe in Sarah.

Just who does Sarah Palin think she is? She should keep her dirty mouth shut forever. She is nothing but a symbol of idiocy. Whoever listens to her and applauds her has Palin’s intellectual level, which is close to zero. Go home, Sarah, and keep your sharp eye on Putin flying over Alaska.

I swear to God I've been saying to anyone that will listen, that Sarah's ambition has always been to be famous. She's using politics as a "happened upon" vehicle. Her ignorance about foreign policy and national government has become painfully obvious!
Let's vote country first and send her back to local politics.

Sarah Palin is a disgusting piece of work. Back to Alaska please! John McCain will regret this extraodinary lack of judgment and total disregard for the people of America that the selection of this candidate to run on his ticket has resulted in. He will lose the election and the respect of his peers for the remainder of his political career.

Stooping to such new lows only reveals their frantic desperation.

It's hard for me to believe that, in addition to the last 7 years of utter incompetency, any educated person could support such a ticket like the one the Republican party now offers. Are we that stupid, like the rest of the civilized world thinks we are?

    So sad

so much for a campaign that said it will not take the low road to the white house...

the mcbush camp should be ashamed of themselves to think that americans are stupid enough to forget the most important issue hitting them and pay attention to this nonsense.

how does this accusation from palin fix the economy, or provide health care or fix america's infrastructures, or education, etc.

mcbush, face the issues and talk about your plans that will turn this wrecked economy around for the joe-six packs and hocky moms

How about Palin's misquote of the Stabuck's coffee cup from Madeline ALbright:

there’s a place in hell reserved for women who don’t support other women",

The actual quote is "there’s a place in hell reserved for women who don’t HELP other women", not support.

Sure Palin has a fine record of HELPing other women by not making clear her stand on making women pay for rape kits (does my home owners pay the PD for their investigation of a break in?), her administrations initial rejection of divesting in Sudan to help stop the raping and killin in Dufar, and wanting to throw women in jail for abortions.

Then she asks the crowd how the MSM is distort what she said tomorrow. Well Sarah, real journalist get the quote right first off. Second, your are the one distorting, not them.

This from a woman that won't even answer questions about her abuse of power investigation. This is just one more example of the blatant lies that the McCain/Palin ticket have engaged in. This just shows how little respect that John McCain and Sarah Palin have for the American people. They have nothing to offer , but lies.

I know this won't make it to the blog because my comments never do on CNN.

Although I will vote for the Obama/Biden ticket, I was pulling for Governor Palin during the VP debate.

Since that time she has won the prestigious “POF" award more than once (POF = Pants On Fire).

Palin has 'gone offensive' and now she is offensive.
(You reap what you sow.) Go Obama/Biden.

    One man, one vote.
