it's funny how the McCain campaign is trying to wiggle out of the same dirt they're throwing out.
The fact is, relationship with Ayres is really a non issue unless you suggest that Obama's judgment is flawed for having any form of contact with Ayres.. I find that stupid, but let's use the same standard to McCain.
Applying that standard to McCain, you can prove that McCain's judgment is even more flawed for accepting favors from Keating, and also not having the judgment to discern between good and bad actions.

It is interesting how anything is game when the attacks come from Sen. McCain. Quite a double standard. I hope the American people are not fooled by his desire to portray himself as the "perfect one". The last few days development seems to me that it is "McCain first" and not "Country first" – all this talk of turning the page and going on attack mode makes it clear that our interest as Americans is not high priority for the McCain campaign.

We need to elect the person who has our best interest at heart & not their own. Someone who will seek to change our lot going forward.

But, when McCain who laid his map down of "run an honorable campaign that will not get down into the mud of personal politics", what do you expect his opponent to do? Put another way, I don't want to bomb anyone. But if the US is attacked, do you expect anyone to say "well, I committed to not bombing so we'll talk some more?" Of course not. Which is why McCain attacked Obama for saying he'd go after Al Qaeda interests in Pakistan IF Pakistan itself didn't go after them. Look, Obama is trying to play nice, and he can since he's got theupper hand on all issues. McCain on the other hand is dealing from a deficit position and has to throw all kinds of stuff to try to get back in the game. Obama simply isn't going to be the "nice guy" and let him do that without any opposition. Which, when we talk to Iran and North Korea, I'm sure they'll get that same msg. We'll talk, but those talks are expected to be fruitful in your actions. If not...

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was "sacked" after the press found out he was having regular contacts with "Hamas", which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq , he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will "Take care of things".

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California . He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. "Barry" (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan . During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a "round the world" trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia , next Hyderabad in India , three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family. My question - Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York . It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia ? It's not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia , he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago ? Why not New York ? He was already living in New York .
