Palin: 'I was just trying to keep Tina Fey in business'

Gov. Palin said she was trying to provide 'job security to SNL writers.'

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said Monday her recent underwhelming interview performances were intended to provide “job security to SNL writers,” as she continued to escalate the pace of attacks on Barack Obama’s character.

Watch: How SNL combines politics and humor

“I was just trying to keep Tina Fey in business,” joked the Alaska governor.

At a Florida campaign event, Palin brought up one of her less-successful media moments - her failure to respond to a question from CBS’s Katie Couric about her regular sources of news — as a segue into an attack on Obama. “There’s been a lot of interest in what I read lately,” she told the crowd.

Watch: Tina Fey impersonates Palin

“Well, I was reading my copy of The New York Times the other day, and I was really interested to read about Barack’s friends from Chicago. Turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers. And according to The New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, ‘launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol,’” Pain said.

She added later that Obama is “someone who sees America as ‘imperfect enough’ to work with a former domestic terrorist who targeted his own country.”

Tina Fey will be fine sarah thanks anyway. What you are really trying to do is distract the voters with your ignorant, intolerant , blatant Liar attack AD's. Dogon it Ya just do not want to address this terrible economy that was caused by the De Regulation of the Finance Sector.
The De Regulation that your angry bitter boss, McBush has bragged about being the champion of. The angry McCain and the Ignorant Gomer Palin have nothing left but lies and desperate negative distraction from the critical issues that we face.

McCain may have been "absolved" of the charges by a court but that does not mean he has POOR JUDGMENT and has cost taxpayers billions of dollars beause of it...

If you want to judge Obama's past relationships, which has NOTHING to do with him and lump him as being a "terrorist" because of things SOMEONE ELSE did years ago when he was a child, then you should be prepared to have your own judgement questioned as well...

    FAIR IS FAIR....

The last thing this country needs is one of the good old boys talking about "You betcha!", soccer Mom's and Joe sixpack. This is an insult to everyday Americans. This is the nastiest, dirtiest campaign I've seen in decades. No one from the Obama-Biden side is bringing up things from Palin's past that wouldn't look so pretty if it were widely known. Since the Palin-McCain side has started to be seen in their true colors because of slipping popularity the presidential race has become a joke. My theory is that the Republicans know that they can't win the presidential race so they picked a ticket that they knew would self destruct.

By the way, I'm female, 60 and white. Go Obama!!

Obama will be a much better president than John McCain. Obama is thoughtful, McCain is rash. Obama accepts opposing points of view, McCain hates your guts for disagreeing with him.

NYTimes article states that Obama's link to Ayers was that, when Obama was a young lawyer with poltiical ambitions, he was named to a board responsible for judging how the Annenberg Foundation funds would be donated for educational purposes. Ayers was, as a University of Chicago Professor of Education, already a member of the board.

That's it. Oh, and the fact that Obama bumped into Ayers in the street once.

Now there's a reason not to vote for someone.

    idiot.

Uhhhh.....Ms. Palin? You don't need to give Tina Fey material to have a job. She actually has a brain of her own and is already more successful and educated than you will ever be. But it's cute that you think you're so great.

Ayers was a radical..the term "domestic terrorist" was coined after Okla.City and 9/11. Two different time and thus different definitions.
If I remember Ayers was aquitted, and has gone on as many from the 60's and 70'as have done to do thing to help grow this country and represent those who need help.
Palin you need to look and learn history and understand history.
Obama was 8 or 9 yearsold when Ayres was a radical.
Young people go ask someone in their 50's and older about life in the 70's and how the radicals were not terrorists but protestors against the governement, which we are guaranteed by the constitutiion, . Plain lies again, and shows her ignorance...of repeating what you are told.

Tina Frey must be hating the fact that she looks 3 times better dressed up as Sarah Palin. Of course her husband is loving it, and probably refusing to come to bed without the make up. I would..

    Wow.

Job Security, Huh. Does this mean she admits something that we already know?

Sarah, are you just now discovering that Obama once served on a board with Ayers? Your comments suggest that is the case. Furthermore, your comments suggest that you did not finish reading the article. It drew a very different conclusion from the ugly one that you suggest.

Sara Palin is a real air-head. And this is what you people are going to vote for? She is worse than George Bush. If McSame and herself wins the election we will go even further down the drain.

Or is CNN the best in reports old news and exciusive? Wofl, Anderson and Campbell. Are you are to demand a live interview with Palin.?
