Cindy McCain says Obama running 'dirtiest campaign' ever

Cindy McCain said Obama is running a dirty campaign.
Cindy McCain said Obama is running a dirty campaign.

(CNN) - Cindy McCain lashed out at Barack Obama Tuesday, telling a Tennessee newspaper the Illinois senator has waged the "dirtiest campaign in American history."

The comments came hours before her husband, Republican nominee John McCain, was slated to square off with the Illinois senator at the second presidential debate, and are among her harshest to date of her husband's rival for the White House.

Speaking to the Tennessean, Cindy McCain also said her husband would use Tuesday night's town hall forum as an opportunity to correct what she suggested were misleading statements from the Obama campaign.

“What I have found is that it’s necessary to make sure the American people understand what we have to say, what we stand for as a husband and wife, and what we will do for the American people if we’re lucky enough to be elected,” Mrs. McCain also told the paper.

Both presidential campaigns have stepped up the intensity of their attacks, with only four weeks remaining until Election Day. The McCain campaign raised Obama's past relationship to 1960's radical William Ayers over the weekend, prompting the Democratic nominee’s campaign to unleash a 13-minute documentary Web video Monday detailing the Arizona senator’s involvement in the Keating Five scandal.

In an admitted effort to turn the dominating narrative away from the nation's ailing economy, McCain’s campaign also launched a new offensive against Barack Obama's trustworthiness Monday, releasing a new campaign ad that asks "Who is Barack Obama?", and tells voters the Illinois senator is 'lying' about his record.

    HA! That's funny!

This from the same campaign that said "we can't talk about the economy or we will lose". Another distraction.

Why don't you try talking about the issues McCain?

Cindy McCain: You have turned a blind eye, and deaf ears to your husband and his dirty campaigning, lying about Barack Obama on the trail, and now you are suppose to be the voice of reason? You are honestly defending your husband when the entire world has been observing, listening to your husband spew his anger and bitterness and lies. Please. Give us a break Mrs. McCain. You personally know that John McCain is a very contentious person. You know. You really do.

I am a conservative woman who is DISGUSTED by Sara Palens dirty politics. I thought John McCain was going to be better than the nastyness of polotics as usual. Unfortunatly, I think Obama is running a cleaner campaign.

The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someone in the crowd at a McCain/Palin event suggested killing Barack Obama, according to Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley. The shout of "kill him" followed a Sarah Palin rant on Obama's relationship with radical Chicagoan Bill Ayers.

This after Palin got the crowd worked up with her Hate Mongering.
This kind of leadership we can live without forever.
If Cindy McCain wants to defend this behavior then she can, but she looks like a fool for doing it.

This is surely a joke. Obama's campaign is not even the dirtiest in this election. Regardless, Cindy McCain seriously must be clueless if she really believes that this is the dirtiest election in history. There have been Republicans (George W. Bush) who have been dirtier to McCain than Obama has been so far.

Really, Cindy? Even dirtier than the Rove machine sending out flyiers in the 2000 Republican Primary in NC alleging that your husband had an iligitimate Black baby? Even dirtier than Bush using you drug theft and addiction to impeach your husbands character? Oh wait....your husband now employs Karl Rove to launch the same filthy tactics on Barack Obama. Barack Obama has only responded to the lies and attacks your husband perpetuates.

What planet have you been living on in the past week Mrs McPlastic?
Your old grumpy husband and his airhead pageant queen have been throwing every Karl Rovian sleezy thing from the kitchen sink at Obama since McLosers failed campaign has sunk even lower in the polls.

America is smarter...they want answers not bull.

Was there a typo? Did Cindy mean McCain was running the dirtiest campaign? I think trying to suggest that Obama is a terrorist is about as low as a candidate can go.

Gee maybe she should leave the spa at the country club and find the nearest television. Then look at a news program {cnn} about her hubby and Palin telling lies about Obama. Cindy, just because your husband and Palin sink to new levels, do you have to sink with them?

No that's the most hypocritical statement so far. Sad how they whine when they are losing. :(
