(CNN) – John McCain launched a new television ad Wednesday morning that calls Barack Obama flat-out 'not presidential,' hours after the two men squared off in a presidential debate that notably lacked few pointed jabs from either candidate.
The 30-second spot also continues the McCain campaigns newest line of attack against the Democratic presidential candidate, asking "Who is Barack Obama?"
Watch: New Mccain aide calls Obama unpresidential
“The National Journal says he’s the Senate’s most liberal," the ad's narrator says. "How extreme. But when pressed, how does he defend himself?"
Fact check: Is Obama the most liberal senator?
"They’re not telling the truth," Obama is shown saying in a television interview. "I hate to say that people are lying, but here’s a situation where folks are lying."
"Mr. Obama, we all know the truth…Not presidential," the ad's narrator responds.
The campaign says the ad will air nationally, though the extent of the buy remains unclear.

hes so desperate.
Has McCain looked in a mirror lately.Nothing but negative things coming from McCain/Palin mouths.
What a Joke the McCain campaign has become. All they have left is accusation and innuendo.
This just does not seem right. If one were to read the subliminal in this message it is really saying:
This man does not look like past presidents or have the upbringing of presidents past, hence he is not presidential.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Well, there was only one person who looked and acted presidential last night in the debate and it certainly wasn't John McCain
McCain is getting hopelessly tacky now that we're in the final weeks.
Can't wait for this to be over...
And what makes McCain feel that he looks presidential because he does not.
Last night he showed his true colors as the person he is when he said "that one"
McCain you're pitiful... YOU WERE THE ONE THAT LOOKED UNPRESIDENTIAL AND SOUNDED IGNORANT!!!
The people have spoken– we can see through your lies and feasible debate strategy!
ha ha ha ha ha – from the man that has no diplomatic skills, no charisma, no intelligence
I'm for That One '08
Constitutional Scholar, Diplomatic Skills, Foreign Relations already on a firm footing
Who? You mean "That one" over there???
Sad, foolish and empty campaign. McCain has nothing to offer on policies. He has nothing to offer on temperament. He has nothing to offer on judgment–as best witnessed by his selection of Sarah Palin. And this–"my friends"–is why he is tanking in the polls.
I think anyone who is voting against Bush so often would be deemed liberal too, and at this point, that is a good thing.
I've been a registered Republican for almost 20 years now – but this will be my first time voting for a Democrat for President. The lies, deceit, and out-dated policies of the Republican party are simply too much for any patriot to ignore.
I hope that Republican leaders are listening – we demand change in the direction of the Republican party. Let's get back to truth and honesty, honor, and fiscal policies that will work.
But the question is how do we know when Obama says "they are not telling the truth" is in reference to that? It just as well could of been regarding McCain's lies about Obama's tax plans. Nothing more than easy audio editing.
Obama has looked a lot more presidential to me in these debates.
I'm sticking with Obama. Absentee ballot already sent it and for Obama. President for change.
MCCAIN IS RIGHT. OBAMA IS NOT READY TO BE PRESIDENT.
HE IS INEXPERIENCED AND NAIVE.
Hooray! More sludge!
We have to put up with this for another month? Yeesh.
The McCain campaign has now shifted their national headquarters to the Center for Straw Grasping, located in Downhill Slide, USA.
"Lacked few pointed jabs" doesn't make sense.
the only thing tha thatone did last night was tell evceryone once again that he has no clue what people want
Ok this ad sucks...I mean seriously this is terrible. McCain need to fire all his campaign staff and look for better people if he is to have a hope of winning this election.
No need for any fact check on this ad??? We all know that this is not true. Obama has consistently shown his readiness to lead this diverse country. Not just for some, but for all.
Obama/Biden 08
Bring it On! Less than 4 weeks before we send Palin packin'
Old man yells at could. Desperation is showing.
Obama 08! Graceful and Positive=Presidential
Too funny! It is McCain that is not presidential.
That one is not presidential
And McCain is a man of principles and too presidential.
