(CNN) - Barack Obama continues to hold significant leads over John McCain, a fresh round of state and national polls out Thursday suggest, in what is unwelcome news for the Republican presidential nominee as Election Day inches closer and closer.

The Illinois senator now holds a 6 point lead over McCain nationwide, a new CNN poll of polls consisting of five recently released surveys show, while 8 percent remain undecided.

A string of new state polls also show Obama holding significant leads in several key battleground states, including Minnesota, New Hampshire, Ohio, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. McCain is holding onto leads in Montana and Missouri.

In Minnesota, CNN's latest poll of polls shows Obama up 11 points, 52-41 percent, while he holds a 9 point lead in CNN's latest New Hampshire poll of polls, 51-42 percent. Obama is also holding onto a 4 point lead in Ohio, 50-46 percent in CNN's latest poll of polls there.

In West Virginia, Obama holds an 8 point lead in a new American Research Group poll, though CNN's Sept. 21-23 poll of West Virginia showed McCain leading there by 4 points. In Wisconsin, a new Research 2000 poll shows Obama with a 10 point lead, 51-41 percent. CNN's Wisconsin poll earlier this month showed Obama with a 5 point lead.

In Missouri, a new CNN poll of polls shows McCain hanging onto a 1 point lead, while the Arizona senator has a 5 point lead in Montana according to a new American Research Group poll.

The Obama camp is a Peace Feast and I think it will give Hope around the World !!! While the McCain camp is a Terror Feast run by War mongers and send Chills around the World !!! The choice is clear, Vote for Obama, He is an intelligent, thoughtful, able and capable Young Man!! McCain is an old instigator, warrior and fool.. He is hiding behind two women, Palin and wife Cindy and calling himself a marverick... a what?? Wow!!! doggone it .. I betcha he,s been stealing pills from Cindy,s medicine cabinet or maybe he,s just suffering from Palinoma!!!

This is fantastic! Let's keep that margin increasing. I'm sure it will result in the McCain campaign being even more distasteful although that's hard to imagine! Obama's campaign will continue to show excellent demeanor and dignity.

Another way of saying that Americans are disgusted with what the Republicans have done to and with our suffering Nation. And what does the next Republican Emperor offer? Lies, negative attacks, pandering and incompetance. His new plan (stolen from Hillary) to buy all the Nations Bad Mortgages. Is just another shamefull ploy for the Republicans to Bail out their Billionaire Corporate Banker Masters.
McSame wants to give these Corporate Crooks, 300 Billion more tax dollars to cover their loses caused from their own greed and avarice.
And what did these Corporate scum do with the last Bail Out tax dollars. A bunch of them flew to a Luxury Resort and blew 400 Thousand Dollars to include 23 Thousand Dollars in Manicures.
This is McInsane!!! Enough America !!! Please Enough!!

Now is the time to finally take back this great country from those who selfishly and arrogantly ruined it. Now is the time to stand together and say "no more", we will nnot be fooled by John McCain and his patheic tactics to get elected. Poor old fool.! Get some sun IN AZ!
Now is the time to elect a MAN of real worth and grace.
    GO OBAMA!

Guess doesn't pay to have a "(R)" after your name at the moment if you're running for public office. While the "(R)" folks were fighting the culture war against gay marriage and abortion and trying to reduce taxes to make them "fair" (to understand how "fair" it is... check who got the most benefit out of the cut in the rate dividends were taxed)... the rest of the country was going to hell. I'm not going to say Obama is the perfect candidate, but I think it's time for the previous generation to let the next generation take the reins...

We can't let up. We have to make sure we vote. The only real meaning ful poll will be Nov 4. Go out and vote early if you can. We can't allow McCain/Palin's insistance on ignoring the problems of this country by spitting out their hatred to win. If we don't vote for what's right then all those idiots that are supporting hate will win. We need to crush and shut out the idiot Hannity and Lambaugh supporters who thinks only in terms of hatred as oppose to what's good for them and this country.

I don't know if it is so much that Obama's in control I think it is just the fact that people are not responding to the nastiness of the McCain/Palin campaign. People are hurting and they are talking about man who is not even running for President. That his opponent does not even speak to. People are just seeing who the best leader will be.

Sorry to tell all of you McCain fans, (he is so out of touch and a LIAR to boot), Obama is going to win by a LANDSLIDE. It won't just be Ohio for him, it is the WHOLE COUNTRY for him. McCain, Cindy, Palin and "first dude" can slink back into the hole they came out of and lick their wounds while the rest of us REJOICE!

Such good news ... we want to hear about the issue this year, McCain, not smear. Scrape up what little dignity and self-respect you have left and at least lose with honor.

West Virginia??? really??? that shocks me. A black man winning West Virginia would be one of the proudest moments this country has had thus far. That would show how far Americans have really come.

McCAIN IS A DISGRACE TO WHITES AND PRO-LIFERS LIKE ME, EVEN IF I'M IN CANADA.

FACT CHECK SAYS REPEATEDLY, TIME AFTER TIME THAT McCAIN AND PALIN'S REMARKS ARE "FALSE" AND "MISLEADING" AND YET THEY CONTINUE TO TRY TO BAMBOOZLE AMERICANS. HOW STUPID DO THEY THINK AMERICANS ARE. NO WONDER THE USA'S REPUTATION IS NOW DIRT, AFTER 8 YEARS OF BUSH THE BUSH REPUBLICANS .....AND REGARDLESS OF THE MAVERICK CRAP ... BUSH IS A REPUBLICAN. IF McCAIN WAS A MAVERICK, HE WOULD BE ON THE TICKET WITH BOB BARR. AT LEAST BOB BARR HAS SOME INTEGRITY,

AS McCAIN NOW PLAYS THE RACE CARD, AMERICANS ARE REPULSED BY HIM. HE IS A DISGRACE! HE HAS REDUCED HIMSELF TO A STUPID, SMALL-MINDED, BITTER, ERRATIC, OLD MAN. AND THE MALADY MUST BE CONTAGIOUS ,,, CINDY McCAIN SEEMS TO BE COMING DOWN WITH SOMETHING IN VIEW OF HER REMARKS YESTERDAY ABOUT THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE.
