Give me an intelligent, strong, prinicipled, and balanced republican candidate, an educated REAL republican, and I'll give you my vote... but McCain/Palin dont' fit the bill. And if Palin is any indication of the "new generation" of republican politicians, I forsee a long democratic rule in this country. The McCain's smear campaign solidifies the "angry-mob" voting block, but it turns everyone else against you. Grow up and defend your republican principles McCain, and get Palin to shut it because she apparently doesn't know what republican principles are.

Isn't it patriotic to pay taxes for our national defense, to provide funds for our troops – doesn't Sarah Palin want her son to have the best equipment and protection possible while in the military! "Darn right!" About time someone called the Grand Old Party on their contortions and hypocrisy.
Speaking of hypocrisy, McCain and Palin talk about unifying the country when they spew hatred and incite people to violence. Shame on them, and particularly shame on McCain for choosing Palin, who is a huge set back for women, and another blot on our nation. How can we hold our heads up in the global community with her semi-literate rantings and ravings?

FELLOW REPUBLICANS – help me send the message that we need to rebuild our party. McCain has no fresh ideas or direction and Palin is a ignorant joke. She cannot even put two sentences together that are not memorized or written down. All they do is try and put down Obama and Biden and they never give us any thought as to the future. If they wanted our vote they would tell us how things would be different under them, not how the others are so bad that our only choice is them. They have gave our party a black eye, and it is time we send a loud and clear message. For the first time ever I am voting Obama/Biden, I truly hope they help our country as I do when I vote republican. But I will not vote for McCain/Palin, this is a 40 year low spot for our party and its time for new blod and new direction and I am saying now that I will never support Palin in the future, she needs to go. John McCain served and worked alongside people with strong bigoted pasts like Senators Jesse Helms, Strom Thurmond and Robert Byrd.

Thurmond ran for president as a Dixiecrat in 1948 with a platform to maintain segregation.
Helms' policies were consistent and he didn't see blacks as full Americans.
Byrd was once a member of the Ku Klux Klan, a domestic terrorist organization.

By the going standards, I think McCain should have stood up to his bigoted Senate colleagues or resigned in protest to their lowly ways. Nuff said.

McCain and Palin have gone lower than George W. Bush (swift boats) and George Bush (Willie Horton). Apparently McCain is now attacking Obama's record on crime legislation, and one of his sidekicks is bringing up Obama's long past use of drugs. We are reaching lows I didn't think could happen.
