I have to laugh at myself. Before the general election began, I had a argument with my friend, who is also a Democrat. I told him that I was hopeful that McCain would run a positive campaign, and that even though I would not vote for him, I always respected him. Now here we are, and it turns out I couldn't have been more wrong. McCain will go down in history as running the most dirty, hate filled campain in history. It actually makes the Willie Horton ads of 88 and the swift boat ads of 04 look kind of cute. By insinuating that Obama is a terrorist, the McCain campaign, may actually be putting Senator Obama in real physical danger. The most sad part is that he is still going to loose anyway, but he will also loose my respect.

I agree with Mr. Rendell. McCain's campaign does seem to be just plain dumb. What a horrible strategy. I think he has sealed his fate by choosing this road. Especially since this country has had to deal with the stupid Bush administration for eight years. He must think that we are stupid to fall for it. I agree with Gov. Rendell.

It's obvious McCain-Palin's campaign is in the toilet, therefore, all they know to do is what's in their evil hearts – sow seeds of fear, hate, and division. And all of the American people need to reject them completely with the power of their vote !

They don't have any answers for the mess they have helped put this country in, nor do they know how to solve the mess. They have proven to the American people that they are too stupid and ignorant to lead this country…they are completely unqualified for the positions of VP and president.

I truly hope everyone will turn the page on this old dirty stale politics, and choose a better path. It is not nice to call anyone stupid.

In this country, there are 300 million people. There are people who may have higher IQ and lower IQ. There are people who have right wing value and left wing value. There are people who are white and who are black.

It is OK. We need to remember, we all mean well. We all want to do well in our lives.

The question is what kind of system we need to make everyone happy. Should we enhance federalist policies? Should we increase the power of federal government? What did States not achieve? What regulations succeeded in the past? How do we refer to Constitutions in 21st century?

In this internet age, is "congressional system" really working? Can't we create more participatory decision system on legislative activities leveraging power of internet?

President changes every 4-8 years, but these policies can not. So let's really discuss policies.

I am hoping that CNN will post this, since every other time I have tried to address this issue, my comment was either excluded or, as today, the comments were closed.

Sarah Palin's stand on abortion is scary. To say hers are radical ideas is putting it mildly. To say that government should have any influence in a woman's personal decision is wrong. I'd like to give two examples of the importance of choice.

Last year, my two best girlfriends became pregnant due to a failure of their birth control methods. Both are working mothers who are divorced. Both were in serious relationships. Neither of their counterparts, for lack of a better word, wanted to be a father. One girl has two beautiful children and the other has three. One works at a professional job and the other at two jobs. Both can barely make ends meet with the children they have. The addition of another child would have put them over the financial tipping point. Also, the children they already have rely on them for support, love and attention. The quality of life that these existing children have would have been severely compromised if either of these women gave birth. After much counseling and conversations with God, both women chose to terminate their pregnancies. It was not an easy choice, or one that God forbid, I would ever want to have to make. But they did what was best for themselves and their existing children. I'll be d#@ned if I let the government make these decisions for my fellow women!

Sarah Palin is a religious radical, she has turned campaign rallies into Klan rallies and I don't even want her to WALK by the White House, much less to become Vice President of this nation.

BTW Ed, Ayers stated that his only regret was that he didn't do more bombing and he said this while he was buddies with Obama working with him on that committe. Just research Obama and that new socialist party thats stated goal was to infultrate the Democratic party and force their plans for America on this nation. Looks like they are going to win since it seems we cannot find enough great Americans to over take the amount of libs who are registered 72 times to vote for Obama.

From reading the comments on this forum it has become clear that whatever trace of decency or honesty that was still intact on the left has now completely disapeared. Libs feel no remorse for cheating, being dishonest, or wishing death on those who don't march to the liberal ideology as they do. I wonder if the report had come out positive about Palin would McCain have denounce the negavity because he didn't denounce it earlier it the week. Listen my fellow Americans, the Republican party is the most crafted party at trying to switch things in their favor.. Rendell is trying to calm the waters and bring the focus back to the issues. No one can say that Obama, drawing on and reminding people of the McCain/Keating relationship, is not relevant. Consequently, can any McCain/Palin supporters not speak intelligently to the reality that McCaiin pulled a huge bait and switch this week in favor of mortgage bankers with the mortgage debt buyout proposal which he now saddles the American public with and his saying "it was an oversight that the correct language was not included.

Face it, McCain won't speak to any issue specifically except the Iraq war or tying his opponent to obvious racially based claims and statements.

If infact it was an "oversight", what else do you need from McCain in order to see that he is truly incapable of providing competent leadership.

McCain can dodge the issues all he wants, the fact is the American people are putting there hats in with who they think has actually articulated a clear plan. Obama might not be perfect and have the best solutions to all of our problems but at least he has a plan. We all understand what he wants to do and how it will help. McCain just wants to continue tax cuts to the wealthy, deregulate our industries, and expand the war in the middle east. How is that a strategy to fix our problems?
