Biden: McCain’s speech is ‘attack, attack, attack, attack’

Biden calls McCain out on his negative attacks.
Biden calls McCain out on his negative attacks.

ROCHESTER, New Hampshire (CNN) – Shortly before John McCain set to lay out his new stump speech Monday morning, Joe Biden said it looked like the address would be “attack, attack, attack, attack” in contrast with Barack Obama’s plans to lay out his vision for the economy later in the day.

Watch: What is McCain really offering?

“Barack is going to make a major speech on economic policy, going to further outline what he’s going to do and how he’s going to deal with it,” said the Democratic vice presidential nominee. “It looks like John McCain’s entire speech is going to be attack, attack, attack, attack.”

“It couldn’t be clearer to me what’s going on here. John McCain wants to attack Barack Obama, and Barack Obama wants to [attack] the problems that face America today,” he said.

The McCain campaign shot back, calling Obama’s economic plan "plagiarism" of President Herbert Hoover’s during the Great Depression and championing their own “bold” proposal.

"The Obama-Biden ticket’s call for higher taxes on American businesses and isolationist trade policies mirrors the proposals that President Hoover implemented at the onset of the Great Depression, spurring a complete economic collapse," McCain spokesman Ben Porritt wrote in an e-mail. "It's plagiarism of the very worst economic policies in American history."

The Delaware senator said McCain had an advantage in the campaign has a war hero and people assumed that as a result, he would have “certain hands” in a crisis.

“We need more than a war hero, we need more than a great soldier, we need a wise leader,” said Biden. “John's hands have been anything but certain in the last year. They've been uncertain. And the McCain administration would be uncertain, clinging to the past, lurching from one bad idea to another.”

I love you Joe and Obama, your joint ticket is second to none, hit the McBushPalin campaign back really hard.
We can't wait for an Obama-Biden administration come January '09.
Let McCain remain stuck to 18th Century ideas while Palin should go back to Wasilla and hunt for moose after answering questions surrounding her abuse of office.

McCain is even planning corporal punishment on Sen. Obama, like a school teacher from the Roaring 20s. America, is this the mentality you are looking for in a leader? If so, it won't work in this day and age.

Choose well my friends.. talk talk but no real solutions from the dude who said he has experience. All the talk and no solution from the dude who has scars to prove it. He has a plan but he does not share those plans.
I have a plan I have aplan is all that Mccain talks about.
Why not share that plan with us who need to look at what you will do for us.

I can't decide if McCain can't control his campaign – and if that's the case – why would we think he can control the country & his appointed government officials.

    OR

If he's being two-faced – saying one thing while his campaign (namely Palin) purposely goes in a different direction. We don't need more of that. We've had 8 years of BUSH "TRUTHs".

Biden would not have to come up with a bad idea , he could always plagirize it for convenience and then correctly disclaim it as someone else's.

McCain's whipping plan is akin to that of a school teacher from the Roaring 20s. America, is this the mentality you are looking for in a leader? If so, it won't work in this day and age.

Too bad that McCain and Palin can't seem to get a handle on telling the truth.

    Too bad Johnny boy.

I wonder just what is mcsame's plan for today???? It seems to change on a daily basis. They remind me of the (3) stooges
with (1) missing.. I never thought that mccain would sink this low
with their daily attacks... as to his "war hero" status there are a
lot of people who think otherwise especially those who were with
him.. rolling stones article is a repeat of the story that a few say really happened!

If there are any McSame supporters left have them answer this question.
Are you ready to reinstate the draft?
The way this guy talks about bombing Iran and going after the new Soviet Union he's gonna need a lot more soldiers to do his dirty work. And with the hundred year war in Iraq the only way to raise enough combat troops to carry on.

That is all McCain knows how to do is attack. I see him CNN right now talking about the things he plans to do but has not told us how he plans to pay for it. A good portion of any of it could be paid by coming out of Iraq. We don't want to hear anything about picking drapes for the White House. MY FRIENDS!

Right, all McCain does is attack, attack, attack. He attacks Obama at every opportunity, while offering no ideas or solutions of his own. I'm much more troubled by his apparent lack of diplomatic ability with other countries, though. In the first McCain/Obama debate, I heard McCain threaten to attack no fewer than 5 other countries – Pakistan, Afghanistan, North Korea, Iran, and Russia. I think McCain is a warmonger, probably due to psychological problems for having been a POW. He scares me. Where does he think we will get troops to fight 6 wars?

  18. STOP FIGHTING ONE ANOTHER!

    John McCain,

I am personality tired of fighting other Americans over who's more American. I would rather WORK TOGETHER to make America a better place for our children, don't you?

If so then it's time for you to serve your country and step aside.

America is NOT your military brigade. If you can't get over your PTSD and realize you are no longer in a foxhole then you are just not fit for the office of the Presidency, but you're not fit for the Senate.

Grow up McCain and get over it. You can't 'win' in Iraq to make up for Vietnam.

by the way, forgot to mention. McCain is too old, he could have a heart attack and could die, then Palin will become president, that not good at all. she will abuse power like she did.

The McCain/Palin ticket is funnier than Saturday Night Live these days.

First it was Bill Ayers. The people, having already acquitted Obama in the court of public opinion in regards to Ayers, gave a resounding "we don't care." Next they'll try to claim that Obama hates kittens and supplied the dogs for Michael Vick's dogfighting operation.

This all goes back to something Mahatma Gandhi once said: "First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win." Obama has taken the high ground at every turn, and if you need any clarification as to how these two men would run this country, just look at the way they've run their campaigns lately.

Nobody's falling for your hateful tactics, John. You backed yourself into a corner when you chose Sarah Failin', and now you are paying the price.
