Many people seem to overlook that Obama got his donations from the FM and FM employees and McCain got his donations from FM/FM as a company. I will go with Obama as The President at any time or moment.

shynynface   October 13th, 2008 9:15 am ET

I think that someone has to come up with a plan and I never believed that Senator Mccain would come up with one. I think that it is time that we as a country move forward at this time and I don't say it will be simple or short, but doable. So whatever is presented we work with it and deal with the flexiblity of it for there must be unforseen changes in it.

God Bless America   October 13th, 2008 9:15 am ET

GO SEN OBAMA.
WE ARE FULLY BEHIND YOU WITH OUR PRAYERS AND OUR VOTE.YOU ARE THE BEST.we love you and we know yoyu will make our Great country greta again and loved more than ever.

OBAMA/BIDEN

We are looking forward to hearing what Obama has to say. Finally we have a candidate that has the intelligence to lead the country. After eight years of a complete moron, it's about time! McCain cannot distance himself from Bush, voting over 90% of the time with Bush does NOT make you a maverick. Wake up American, our country is in a terrible crisis and we need smart leadership, not catch phrases and slogans. John McCain does not give us Straight talk, nor does he believe in Country First – it's all about John McCain first.
As for Palin, I think she is the worst of all liers because for some reason she believes what she is saying.
God help us and God Bless America!
Vote Democrat this year.

Fred   October 13th, 2008 9:14 am ET

Now is the tie for all good Obama supporters to come to the aid of their Country.
1) Make sure you are able to Vote on Election Day.

2) Vote for Obama!!!!

Brandi Bosworth   October 13th, 2008 9:14 am ET

My husband and I live in Ogden, Utah. We operate a pet care business with 17 employees that we cannot possibly provide health insurance for. I work at a local nature preserve, where I am able to get health insurance for our family. Our business is sound, but we struggle to get ahead because of the incredibly high taxes we pay each year. We would like to open a second location and afford health care for our employees. What will your plan do to help us?

Bulldog   October 13th, 2008 9:14 am ET

Why isn't the Palin abuse of power getting more legs? If this were a charge against Senator Obama or Biden the GOP would be attacking them 24/7 over it. Is this because Palin is a woman that she is able to get away with it. It was actually her husband who was the most guilty using his wife's executive position to constantly pressure numerous state officials from the governor's office and recourses. Sarah and Todd did not pressure people to fire their ex-brother-in-law on their own personal time. They pressured people from the governors office on government time with government resources. They pressured subordinates under Sarah Palin who she could fire at any time to fire their ex-brother-in-law. This was a personal vendetta they had. It is absolutely ridiculous that Sarah and Todd Palin are getting away with this.

Ryan   October 13th, 2008 9:13 am ET

It goes something like this: The government takes over everything, and makes all of your choices for you. Just read some Karl Marx and you'll get the picture.

We put our trust in Obama because he is the only one who really cares about the THE PEOPLE.
How do I know?
Proof:
Obama was that gentelman, still in his twenties, who gave up a big salary on Wall Street and went to work and help Main Street as a Community Organizer for THE PEOPLE!
We trust him because we know he gets it and he cares.
Obama is going to do it again. He is intelligent and capable to put Main Street and Wall Street back and rolling on it's feet.
We Love You Obama!

Matt MC   October 13th, 2008 9:11 am ET

Well it can't beat McCain's maverick plan of mavericking-up the unmaverickable economy, maverick.

Shelia Wilsson   October 13th, 2008 9:11 am ET

OK let be real,

McCain does not have a clue about the average american. Therefore, let me tell you what he is going to start saying (pandering).

Just look at one of Obama's speeches and there you have it. He is not only taking the change theme, he will begin to offer what Obama is offering.

Please give americans a break, most of us know pandering when we see it.

I do not for the life of me understand why any one who is not rich votes for McCain. I think the majority of it is racism. Everyone alive has seen the last 8 years, and still they choose to vote to hurt themselves.

I pray the all wake up and smell BS.

Jill, Kansas   October 13th, 2008 9:11 am ET

Look at this pic of Obama—man, if you had his nose full of nickels, you'd be rich.

Karen - Tired of McCain/Palin   October 13th, 2008 9:10 am ET

Obama's economic plan will be better than McCain. If the Amerian people haven't realize Obama is for them and McCain is for the wealthy, then they never will. End of Story!

Cindy, Charlotte   October 13th, 2008 9:09 am ET

Along with Obama you are going to get the Rev.'s Wright and Flager in the White House. When they get to work with Michelle, 'whites will have no rights." The oppressed will become the oppressors.

I'm off to Australia for 4 years—see ya.

Osato Oluwafemi   October 13th, 2008 9:09 am ET

Spencer/Commonwealth of Virginia   October 13th, 2008 9:09 am ET

"Governor Palin knowingly permitted a situation to continue where impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda," the report states.

That's called ABUSE OF POWER. It looks like you didn't vet her well enough old Johnny boy. And this is the woman who is going to run the country if something were to happen to McSame? Thank God for the C.I.A.

No way, No How, No McCain, No Palin

James   October 13th, 2008 9:09 am ET

I only hope that CNN and others will focus on this, and not the soap opera story line that McCain would prefer we look at.

Veggie-Trunks   October 13th, 2008 9:06 am ET

I'm excited to see that Barack has not stooped so low as to be talking about he's going to whip McCain's "you know what" and crap like that. He's talking about the real issues like how we're going to get out of the mess we're in.

McCain is washed up and needs to go out with dignity instead of the way he's going now, talking about he has Obama where he wants him. Please….

Is America really ready for a leader who would bring intelligence to the job?

I sure am. I'm impressed by the folks Obama has consulted with. He doesn't claim to know how to do everything like McCain does. He turns to an impressive array of advisors to arrive at reasonable conclusions.

American Expat   October 13th, 2008 9:04 am ET

Great! Look forward to listening to Senator Obama's new rational, ideas on the economy. A real leader! Hail to the future chief!

Overseas Obama supporter   October 13th, 2008 9:03 am ET

So there is actually a candidate with real plans he can explain? When will Joe Six-Pack figure out it's actually good to have a president that's smart and educated.

So not just "My friends, I know how to do that my friends, I know how to turn the economy, my friends" … then no explaination… My real friend will actually explain!

That one is Karl Marxs friend too   October 13th, 2008 9:03 am ET

This I would like to hear. This is the weakest part of his candidacy. He has no vision for the economy except taxing us working people and giving it to people and programs that don't work. Please tell us something that you will do that has substance. H Obama has done nothing of substance up until now. How can we think he will as president? Not gonna happen…

Bob Indianapolis IN   October 13th, 2008 9:02 am ET

And it looks like he'll be able to do that without histrionics, drama or a fake "suspension of his campaign." AMAZING!

Kiah G   October 13th, 2008 9:02 am ET

Again the candidate of change is trying to make sure the PUNDITS hear him loud and clear on the economy, while McCain is trying to make sure we pay attention to him and his tactics.

HouseDiva   October 13th, 2008 9:02 am ET

if the federal reserve gets to print money out of thin air with no backing of it whatsoever, and give it to bankers, mortgage, and insurance companies; why cant we do the same?

it wouldn't be counter fitting because the money wouldn't look like the standard money that's being printed by the fed,

Obama Supporter outside US   October 13th, 2008 8:50 am ET

GObama……

It's good to see one candidate at least is still giving indepth policy statements about what he plans to do.

From the McBush/Piggy camp all you get are generalisations and hateful rhetoric. I hope the 'angry mob' mentality that they are fostering doesn't result is anyone coming to harm.

I suspect after this campaign is over (and hopefully Obama wins) John McCain will look back at what he has allowed to happen with a lot of regret. He has lost a good deal of the respect that members of either party (and independants) had for him and the longer he travels the road he is on the less self respect he will come out with at the end.

I wish I could have been there. Those tickets went FAST! I can guarantee that Toledo will not go to McCain. You can see it in people's enthusiasm here. For every McCain/Palin yard sign you see, you see 5 Obama/Biden signs. The same is true for bumper stickers. Most houses that I remember from 2004 that had Bush yard signs have refused to put up a McCain sign. Go check out fivethirtyeight.com and see just how much of a landslide this is going to be.

This is where things get really tight, America.

Obama's up nicely in the polls, but the only one that matters starts the evening of November 4th.

Make sure to vote – it's never been more critical. And invite your lazy friends to come with you. You know the ones – they're all fired up until election day, and then it's one excuse after the other why they couldn't get to the polling place. Don't let that happen. It's time for every voice to be heard.

Maddie, Hartford, Ct.   October 13th, 2008 8:28 am ET

DebM, Allentown, PA   October 13th, 2008 8:27 am ET

This man has done amazing things already. We need to give him a chance to rebuild this country. We know that McCain will be more of the same, and Palin will be the ruination of this country. She's as dumb as a doorpost and as evil and manipulative a person as I've ever seen, while cloaking herself in her supposed Christianity. I watched Sen. Clinton last night talking about this campaign and I must say she is the most gracious politician I have seen in a long time. Sen. Obama has surronded himself with a venry impressive group of people; this is what the American people want to see. Pres. Bush finally met with world leaders to talk seriously about this global mess and that is encouraging; we need real leadership and Sen. McCain still does not get it. 22 days and counting; we all must do what we can to see that Sen. obama becomes our next president.

When are Americans going to realize it is not the president who is at fault, but the house and senate? You can't have a war without funding (with HAS to come from the house and senate), regulation for business and banking comes from… wait for it… the house and senate, and taxes and their relief comes from the house and senate. The bailout bill comes from… the house and senate. What we, as Americans, need is a change in the house and senate. If you are MAD about how this country is (seemingly, as the media would have us believe) falling apart, don't blame the president. Blame your representatives in the house and senate (which is both controlled by the democrats) and yourselves for not taking your representatives to task for the horrible job they are doing for you. I suggest in having the government fear the people and not the other way around! This November, check the opposite of incumbent on that ballot. Tell Washington we are through with the lies and the lack of leadership and petty partisan bickering. And write someone in for president…
