Palin stumped in traditionally-red Virginia Monday.

RICHMOND, Virginia (CNN) – Sarah Palin mistakenly reprimanded her own supporters at an outdoor rally in Richmond on Friday after they started yelling that they couldn’t hear the candidate.

Palin was in the midst of blaming predatory lenders for the nationwide mortgage crisis when a large group of supporters in the rear of the crowd began demanding that someone turn up the volume on the event’s speakers.

They chanted “Louder! Louder!” in unison, drawing the attention of other audience members, who began chanting “Sarah! Sarah!”

The vice presidential candidate apparently mistook them for some of the anti-war protesters that have disrupted some of her previous events.

“I would hope at least that those protestors have the courage and the honor of thanking our veterans for giving them the right to protest,” Palin told them, drawing a roar from the crowd.

She then returned to her speech.

“We’re going to walk with those who are under the wrong mortgage and get them a fixed rate mortgage that will help them keep their homes,” she said.

In Alaska Sarah Palin was a big fish in a little pond and it worked for her but she is now a little fish in a big pond and it is not working as well.

On the world stage Sarah Palin is a very little fish who unfortunately doesn't know, how much she doesn't know. It is great to have confidence in yourself but you should also honestly know yourself. (Your weaknesses as well as your strengths.)

If Sarah Palin honestly knew how much she didn't know, she would have had to say"no thanks" to John McCain.

The comedy programs will suffer economic hardships unless McCain and Palin get into power. Look at the skit on SNL they didn't even need to pay writers they just repeated Palin's speech word for word.

Mcain was going to win the general election if he picks one of the guys challenging him in the primary such as Romney and Rudy. He really made a big mistake picking Sarah as his running mate. First and for most, she is not qualified for the job. She could not even understand those questions asked of her during interviews and debate. She had to ignored them and changed the subjects. Secondly, she caused Mcain's campaign a big downfall by he remarks about Senator Obama. It's all about hate and racism. Now, that I could not agree more of their beyond negative attacks, I decided to switch my vote for Senator Obama. He is a wonderful, trustworthy man and so qualify for the job. Obama/Baiden 08.

Palin/McCain 08! They are America's only hope! :)

There are just too many ACORNs, Ayers, Khalidis, Pflegers, Wrights, et al. not to suggest a pattern unbecoming of a future President of the United States.

But even more important for this election, Obama said, the most he ever learned was from his four years as a community organizer studying, teaching and using the Alinsky strategy.

And, Alinsky said, "The first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom was Lucifer."

He also said, the devil challenged authority and got his own kingdom, and that goes to the heart of what the left is really about. So, get power any way you can, including lying, cheating and stealing. The ultimate rule is that the ends justify the means.

I don't trust Obama! :(

Kimberly   October 13th, 2008 6:11 pm ET

Democrat voting for McCain/Palin. Obama has been connected to shady deals in the past and probably has more hidden ones. I can not trust him and he has no experience. He is a 1st term senator and has been in Washington for 1 year, before he headed out on the campaign trail . How does that qualify him for President? Hmmm, maybe we should ask all the Hollywood celebrities, because they are so intelligent, NOT. Obama is a joke!

I am going to miss Sarah Palin on the stump after November. She is so intellectually shallow, so emotionally bare, and so brazenly incompetent that only the GOP base could love her. That speaks volumes about the GOP base.

I think I am going to call her Sarah Nicole Smith from now on. Both Sarah and Anna got plucked out of obscurity by an old man working an angle. Both Sarah and Anna used the old man to launch a "career" in the mainstream. And Anna just waited for the old man to get out of her way so she could reap the benefits - Sarah is no different.

Maybe that's why she looks so happy despite her poll numbers. She got what she needed from McCain. I'm sure we'll be seeing her again.

Angela   October 13th, 2008 6:07 pm ET

I really feel bad for Sarah. She doesn't know what she is saying . Poor darling, they are pulling her in so many directions just to have the base attend the rallys.

Linda-Omaha   October 13th, 2008 6:05 pm ET

Lets be serious, really. "This" woman could be our President someday. At the top of the list of things that worry me are her overly strong sense of self importance, this goes for her husband Todd also. Her ability to lie, cover-up, or otherwise alter the truth, this goes for her husband Todd also. Her temper, this goes for her husband Todd also. Her stupidity, THIS does not go for Todd however, HE seems to have been able to pull off being a phony, family loving, wife supporting MAN. When by all accounts, he is less than a man who abuses his wifes governership, by using 1/2 of her office as HIS, probably to work on getting Alaska to secede from the Union, as we now know, he is not home taking care of the children, neither is she, I wonder who is? Must have been the oldest two, which is why they bailed on "the family". I don't want her answering a phone at 3 am, or John McCain, esp after he has taken Ambien, as he does nightly for sleep-it is an hallucinigenic drug, look it up, its true, now THAT is scarey!!!

Liesle   October 13th, 2008 6:05 pm ET

Sarah Palin is definitely unqualified Vp candidate. She has to depend on Tag Along Todd to make all the decisions for her. I hate to think of the idea of him running the country if she is one step away from the presidency should anything happen to John McCain.

Furthermore, the media need to do further investigations on her abusing her power and violating the state ethics code as Alaskan governor and her partner in crime Todd. What about their membership of the AIP in trying to secede from America. These important subjects come into play before the Nov 4 presidential election.

Better post my comment here.

TCE   October 13th, 2008 6:05 pm ET

Sarah Palin is not the traditional Republican candidate. She is not savvy in world politics. She does not seem bright enough to learn world politics, or even the issues important to our own country. She left her small town with a large deficit so her fiscal policies are not good either. McCain might have been a good candidate but his behavior lately and his choice in vice presidential candidates mean there is one more Republican voting Democrat in Wisconsin this election - voted Obama earlier today.

Who is turning up at these events ? She sounds like a broken record with a malfunctioning squelch. She has said nothing new,she repeats every place she go's and that gets pretty bad when it is all about lies and stupid remarks about Obama.Worse is her and McCain have no solutions EVER.It is all about we will do this and that but they NEVER go into detail about the what, where, when, and how parts.Reminds me of McCains speech where he will cut taxes where he can and fix the economy and that was the depth of it.I would like to give them a fair chance but they are absolutley hollow.Obama tells the listeners what the idea is and how it will be done.It is not always perfect but it gives you a understanding of what he wants to do.McCain never explains just like the idiotic ramble in debate about buying everyones mortgage. It took days before someone could explian that.I don't know how anyone could support nothing and that is what you get with McCain and Palin.OK you could reward McCain for his fifty years in Government or reward republicans for a wonderful past eight years

Erika M. NYC   October 13th, 2008 5:58 pm ET

Under the wrong mortgage?? For all the accusations of Socialism being thrown at the Democrats, the GOP ticket seems to be riding that wagon too. Unless fraud can be proven for the mortgage, it should NOT be revalued. Why in the world should people like myself who took mortgages for what they could afford and didn't max out the appreciation on my home have my tax dollars go towards bailing people out who made greedy decisions??? I do believe in level playing fields but the fact of the matter is that MANY people made poor choices with regards to their mortgages. You know how much you can afford. I personally know people who took risks with their money by banking on the appreciation of their property- which is only realized when you sell. I don't think I should have to pay the price for people who took out home equity loans and now they're in foreclosure because the value of their property went down. I don't think I should have to pay the price for people who took out ARMS instead of a reliable 30 yr fixed. I've been wanting to remodel my closets but I can't afford it- maybe I should take out an equity loan that I can't afford and let the Government bail me out….

It's time to start supporting and talking the McCain/Palin ticket on the second Amendment. Obama is a true enemy of the constituional
rights of the American people.
lets go after him

casual obserer   October 13th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

This just goes to show you that she is human,, and unlike the women on the view who make up their own answers to their own questions, really have no clue about politics..
More and more shots at color and not at inexperience, remember who is behind, and running the democratic, subterfuge, campaign it is a lot easier to blow off shots at color than those of inexperience

Debbie   October 13th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Always ready to attack, could you imagine if this lame brain ever ended up as President? That gives me the shudders. I'm hoping our state of Indiana turns blue. McCain's just a confused ol' man & this woman is actually dangerous. She needs a ride to the North Pole. Alaska deserves someone better than this. I'm glad to see that W.Va. is leaning democratic, that speaks volumes.

Palin is, quite simply, a complete idiot.

She isn't just unqualified- she's ridiculous.

And so are any of you who would even consider putting her in the white house.

Sarah Palin may not have a clue how to give us any economic relief but she is a master at comic relief

Steve, New York, New York   October 13th, 2008 5:53 pm ET

My word - Sarah Palin is beyond clueless. Maybe she and the goateed fellow can go host a NASCAR event somewhere, but these are NOT the caliber of Americans, capable of mending the wounded economy, or that of the US' "wounded" global image.

What an idiot….but we know that already. Does she really think that if she says she isn't guilty of breaking ethics laws that it will make it so? I hope Alaska takes the next step in this case and throws the book at her. That's what she deserves, certainly not a top spot anywhere.

Palin is a robot… She doesn't listen to her own supporters as she is focused on getting her key speaking points out before she forgets them and start to ramble.

I guess it doesn't really matter, no one is listening to her anyway

Pathar   October 13th, 2008 5:45 pm ET

Palin is only reason one needs, not to vote for the republican ticket. But I worry about the Bradley effect. I think Obama's lead in the polls is just plain deceptive and not an indicator of what voters really think.

Nice job Govenor, how about listening to what people say before responding to it. Everything thing does not warrant a pre-emptive strike. I know you did not know what the Bush Doctrine was a couple of weeks ago, but since you do now, you do not have to apply to everything.

Ted   October 13th, 2008 5:41 pm ET

God Bless Obama/Biden

Lloyd   October 13th, 2008 5:40 pm ET

It should be quite obvious to everyone by now that Palin is very stupid.
I wonder who she is trying to fool? She abused her power, and now trying to act as if she did nothing wrong. She cannot think for herself, and is just plain uneducated and dumb. As I have said before, if McCain considered his country first, he would not have selected this woman as his running mate. She is just plain stupid. During the debate with Joe Biden, she should have thanked him for the privilege to be on the same stage. Shame on you McCain. Get rid of this stupid woman.

angel M.   October 13th, 2008 5:39 pm ET

why is it alright for palin to imply poor moral character in regards to obamas so called palling around comments. When she just went and lied on a stump speach saying that she was happy with outcome, and was cleared of all wrong doing.

bsar   October 13th, 2008 5:39 pm ET

It's difficult for me to understand how this GOP ticket is as close as it is, and that scares me. This woman is a disaster that seems to be on a razors edge of making a cringing faux pas every time she opens her yap in public. Remember how every President has aged over 4 years, remember the age of McCain, and then remember who will step into the Oval Office. We're in trouble…

Isn't this exactly the same sort of thing that Republicans were saying when they lied to get us into Iraq?

Make no mistake, McCain/Palin is more of the same.

Dennis   October 13th, 2008 5:35 pm ET

I am so tired of people saying that Palin is not intelligent. Liberal radicals follow her campaign around the country and try to disrupt her. Its funny that Obama has had some of these same things happen but CNN and other media decide not to write about it. The media is being extremely unfair and many Obama/Biden voters are just being ugly about a true american hero John McCain. It is sad what some of you are saying. I believe in free speech but it would be great if your speech was informed and had any depth to it.

Brian   October 13th, 2008 5:35 pm ET

Don't think; don't question; those are traits of dangerous, UNPATRIOTIC people.

The American government has sent our young soldiers to fight in an unjust war. A war based on false pretenses. A WAR BASED ON LIES! So the real question is Do WE as civilians have enough courage to APOLOGIZE to our soldiers for needlessly putting them in harms way.
Criticizing you and the government officials responsible for this atrocious war based on lies DOES NOT MEAN THAT I DON'T APPRECIATE RESPECT AND LOVE THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVE IN OUR MILITARY FORCES!

Palin you are so stupid!!! Why is it that you need to comment when someone is protesting? We as America have the right to protest and you should take it. Don't you know being a politician you will always be criticized no matter what you say? I know these people were not protesting, but if they were protesting why is she saying anything? She should acknowledge them first and listen to what they were saying. You know what that means America…she is not listening to the American people and if you disagree with her she will abuse her power. This is not news.

Gov. Palin, I would hope that you would at least have the decency to respect those that may not agree with you about this war, and not turn them into people who don't love America as much as you supposedly do.

We all understand the beauty of America, freedom is not free; it's earned. Our leaders are questioned. We're all held accountable. John Kerry said it best, "My country, right or wrong. When it's right, keep it right, when it's wrong, make it right."

The Republican's campaign has also suffered from a legislative probe in Alaska that found his vice-presidential running mate and state governor, Sarah Palin, had abused her power.
