Gov. Palin's latest fundraising e-mail focuses on the community organizing group ACORN.

(CNN) – The McCain campaign is fundraising off embattled community group ACORN.

“The truth is that far-left groups in this country will do anything to help the Obama-Biden Democrats win the White House and maintain their majorities in Congress,” Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin writes in a fund-raising e-mail sent out Monday afternoon. “And last week, we found out they're going even further to win.”

“The left-wing activist group, ACORN, is now under investigation for voter registration fraud in a number of battleground states. . . . We can't allow leftist groups like ACORN to steal this election.”

ACORN called the McCain camp’s suggestion “ridiculous.”

“We’re proud of our record of helping 1.3 million new registrants get involved in the process just as we are proud of our work to ensure clean and fair elections,” ACORN spokesperson Brian Kettenring told CNN Monday. “Candidates and parties may win or lose elections. But the assertion that anybody is trying to steal this election is ridiculous,” added Kettenring.

The community organizing group also said that in 2006, John McCain appeared at an immigration reform rally it co-sponsored in Miami. “Maybe it is out of desperation that Senator McCain has forgotten that he was for ACORN before he was against ACORN,” Bertha Lewis, ACORN’s chief organizer, said in a statement released Monday.

Last week, McCain called for an investigation into allegations ACORN is engaging in voter fraud, and his McCain campaign released a Web video linking the group to Barack Obama. Speaking about ACORN last Friday, McCain’s campaign manager Rick Davis told reporters “the only reason you pack lists of voter registration is because you want to steal votes, because you want to cheat.”

CNN recently reported about questionable voter registrations submitted by ACORN in Lake County, Indiana and about a raid of the group’s Las Vegas office by Nevada state officials conducting a voter fraud investigation.

This stupid, stupid woman just keeps fueling the fire. It's time to stop this crap before someone gets killed. Or is that what she wants?

I never followed McCain's career, but many have said that this behavior is not like him and Palin has dragged him into the gutter. When is McCain going to put a stop to this?

LATINOVOTER   October 13th, 2008 7:08 pm ET

My Lord, she is an absolute IDIOT! And she will be the Republican frontrunner for 2012???? LAUGHABLE, just LAUGHABLE!

REDNECKS LOVE OBAMA   October 13th, 2008 7:08 pm ET

At first, I thought ONLY McCain was ERRATIC AND UNSTABLE, but W-O-W Sarah Palin is WORSE….. Dick Cheney is a "sweetheart" compared to this DIVISIVE, ANGRY, UNSTABLE person. She is Dick Cheney with LIPSTICK

Susan from Scotts Valley, CA   October 13th, 2008 7:08 pm ET

This is their way to try to discredit the vote of the people. No voter fraud has taken place. Some over-eager, probably under-performing ACORN employees filled out registration forms with bogus names and it's ACORN's responsibility to submit irregardless of their evaluation of whether the forms are valid.

Brenda in Detroit   October 13th, 2008 7:07 pm ET

boy, if this isn't the pot calling the kettle black. stealing elections is one thing the repubs do really well. look back at the last 2 elections. this from a woman who has been found to abuse her power as an elected official. she has been schooled by the best deceiver of them all - Karl Rove. this is straight out of his playbook.

MarioB. from Berlin for OBAMA/BIDEN   October 13th, 2008 7:07 pm ET

I call this Talking about the pot calling the kettle black!

Laughable these two dumb jerks, simply laughable.
But in 2 days, they will finally go down, when Grandpa McSame loses the last debate, too.
I mean come on. I don't wanna know his sexual fantasies, he might dream of whipping Obama's You-know-what.

Obama/Biden in a landslide!

Schneider (I) - CA   October 13th, 2008 7:07 pm ET

Was ACORN a leftist group when McCain attended one of their functions in 2006? If you aren't afraid of facts, research the Thursday, February 23, 2006 rally in Miami, Florida sponsored by the New American Opportunity campaign (NAOC) in partnership with ACORN which featured leaders from a diverse array of sectors in support of comprehensive immigration reform. Or is it only an evil group when it is tied to a Democrat?

Doug   October 13th, 2008 7:07 pm ET

There proud of getting 1.3 million new registered voters signed up. That's pretty impressive. What's more impressive is getting those 400,000 people to fill out all those registration cards. I guess some cigarettes and a $20 will do wonders these days. Talk about writers cramp.

R. Squibbs   October 13th, 2008 7:07 pm ET

This would be the same ACORN that co-sponsored an immigration meeting in 2006 that featured John McCain as its headlining speaker?

I guess that makes John McCain a "far-left radical" by Palin's standards.

Just think — in 3 more weeks we'll never again have to hear the loony squallings of Sarah Palin. And for that, we should all be eternally grateful.

The guy that is smarter than you   October 13th, 2008 7:07 pm ET

Don't worry Sarah, the election will be won fair and square, not stolen. You can sink back into the backwoods politics of Alaska and John can retire to Green Valley AZ. See ya!

CindyN--PA   October 13th, 2008 7:06 pm ET

Governor Palin,
Are you proud of your record on ethics and abuse of Power?

This woman is more than scary. I would be so ashamed of my country if she ends up in the VP Seat.

She is not a person that will bring this country together, but she will drive us all apart. That is the worst part about her.
She loves to be right in the middle of controversy.
What a sick woman she is. Sick in the head.

Who steals elections?   October 13th, 2008 7:06 pm ET

Hmm… this coming from the same party which literally disenfranchises low income urban voters (who overwhelmingly vote Democrat) and also stole the 2000 election in Florida…

Personally, I don't think ACORN or Obama *needs* to try and steal the election. Smears and attacks such as what the Republicans are trying to peddle to the voters are what driving independent voters such as myself straight into the Obama camp.

Perhaps instead of trying to find a left-wing bogeyman to scare voters, you could propose a vision of what your America would be like? Or perhaps a policy that eliminates our $10 TRILLION dollar debt, our 'voodoo' Reaganomics, and perhaps uttering what the conditions for victory are in Iraq and how we are supposed to get there?

This is why the Republicans are losing. Reagan had a vision for America. FDR and JFK and Teddy Roosevelt had visions for America. You, Senator McCain, do not have such a vision for this great country. You have 21 days to come up with one.

Regrettably,

Obama 2008

Kay   October 13th, 2008 7:06 pm ET

I'm more worried about the thousands of voters who were "accidently purged" from the system or the ballots in New York that say Barack Osama. Lot's of accidents lately.

Central FL for Obama/Biden   October 13th, 2008 7:05 pm ET

What is this woman's reading comprehension level? After the Troopergate report came out, she said in an interview that she had been cleared of any legal or ethical wrongdoing. That's not what the report said. And, if Katie Couric was allowed near her again and if she asked her what ACORN stood for, I "betcha" she would have no idea.

Trysh, Los Angeles   October 13th, 2008 7:05 pm ET

Steal???

Did a Republican just comment on someone STEALING the race?

Inane is the word that just keeps popping in my mind when she talks.

Steve   October 13th, 2008 7:05 pm ET

Sorry friends, but the truth hurts. ACORN is nothing but a group of liberals looking to cheat their way into the presidency. The Obama link is very clear for anyone to see that has a brain. That is why the other commentators on this article want you to disregard the truth. Keep talking Sarah, we are listening.

America

R-Howard   October 13th, 2008 7:05 pm ET

What goes around , comes around. I seem to recall an election in this country being OUTRIGHT stolen in 2000. Anyone else remember that? I dont condone cheating, but when a drunk driver crashes into my car and then proceeds to lecture me on driving, well, what more can I say?.

HA!   October 13th, 2008 7:04 pm ET

So thats the plan. When Obama wins they can cry voter fraud.

Seattle Sue   October 13th, 2008 7:04 pm ET

I am appalled that this was allowed to go out from the national campaign. Registration fraud is a world away from voter fraud. Those of us who remember Florida in 2000 have every right to feel sick. Expect to hear this drumbeat continuing, however. No shame, no McCain.

Monroe W. DeVos   October 13th, 2008 7:03 pm ET

They are out to try to find something, anything that will get voters get their minds off of the basic issues. I find it so hard to believe that they really believe what they say.

Ms. Palin is nothing more than a patsy for the RNC and for her to allow them to "puppet" her doesn't speak highly of her.

Liz, Columbus   October 13th, 2008 7:03 pm ET

Is ACORN saying there is no voter fraud by their employees? It's hard to know WHAT they are saying.

It's unbelievable that our taxes are paying their people. And what about the $ 800,000 Obama paid to ACORN to register voters.

Shannon,Dallas,Texas   October 13th, 2008 7:03 pm ET

Did you really want to use the word STEAL? 2000? Florida? Does any of this ring a bell? 2004? Ohio? You don't have a clue. Do you?

Gov. Palin, after 8 years of failure, this election is the Democrats to lose. The only way that you'll get to Number One Observatory Circle is if the Republicans can somehow STEAL another election.

True American   October 13th, 2008 7:03 pm ET

McCain sure seemed to like acorn as recently as 2006. Maybe someday McCain and Palin will finally blame themselves for being the NUTS that lost election for thenselves by lying and not having any plans for the future that would actually help Americans…but I won't hold my breath. They would probably blame my cat before they would do that.

Obama/Biden 08!!! Real leaders, Real Ideas…NO FAKE MAVERICKS!!

Jennifer   October 13th, 2008 7:01 pm ET

All the McCain campaign is trying to do is say that if Obama wins the presidency it is because of voter fraud…Anyone that wants to vote must show a valid ID. And all voter registration applications are verified by the state election offices. I doubt that someone is going to come to the voting booth with a Mickey Mouse driver's license.

All of this yammering about Obama trying to fix the election is ridiculous.

Lesley   October 13th, 2008 7:01 pm ET

Apparently the Republicans are only in favor of voter fraud when they do it and their guy wins, as in the 2000 election. Their efforts at voter suppression have been going on for years and continue to flourish in this election, although the media is not reporting it. At least Acorn voluntarily turned in suspicious voter registrations. They're a non-partisan group who is checking and reporting any irregularities in their registrations. The Repubs, on the other hand, are refusing to turn over for review records that they purged. They are shredding ballots and using inaccurate databases to disenfranchise voters all over the country.

Lawrence in Denver   October 13th, 2008 7:01 pm ET

What is so outrageous about Palin's remarks? Where's the outrage from CNN and other liberal media outlets about ACORNs fraud? Can you imagine the outrage from CNN, CNBC, etc if a right-leaning organization had committed similar acts of fraud. Let's be clear…ACORN is an organization to advance liberals….the committed major voter fraud. So quit your crying about Palin calling them out. stfu.

Q   October 13th, 2008 7:00 pm ET

Everybody needs to read the piece on John Mccain written in Rolling Stone magazine. It tells the whole story about the man running for president with interviews with former and current friends, former pow's that were in Hanoi Hilton with Mccain, political opponents. It paints a very different picture of a man who claims to be country first and a straight talker including his very deep link with Keating, his wife's drug use, abuse and making a doctor steal drugs for her and the coverup. It also details his very manipulative use of his family name to get places he had no business or right to achieve. This is a scary man who does not care about anyone but himself. You dont have to play the he said she said game as this piece is substantive and a lot of the fuel comes straight from Mccain's mouth himself. Please read for yourself and post it everywhere you can to get the real truth about Mccain to the public. This is not a honorable man neither in marriage or life. We cannot let this man win the Whitehouse. Spread the word.

Alex   October 13th, 2008 7:00 pm ET

How do we know that the Repubs haven't snuck a few operatives into ACORN offices in order to create this "controversy" to begin with? Though there's a lack of oversight obvious in the appearance of phony registrations, that shouldn't be used to paint all registrations made via ACORN with a tainted brush… It's less important if Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse are fraudulently placed on the voter roles now than if legal voters are turned away at the polls come the 4th.

LT for Obama   October 13th, 2008 6:59 pm ET

From what I heard, republican were going to ACORN offices and events and filling out fake registration cards. Seems they are trying to set up ACORN and the dems just so they can steal the election.

Drew   October 13th, 2008 6:58 pm ET

Bottom line, the fraudulent registration forms were exposed before becoming official. You need a valid driver's license to vote anyways, so whoever wasted their time making the false forms, is dumb.

Billy   October 13th, 2008 6:58 pm ET

More hate and propaganda from Palin today, I see.

She just needs to go away and never come back.

Irony   October 13th, 2008 6:58 pm ET

Leftists don't need to "steal" elections, we vote in them.

Odd how the republicans are seeming more like a bully who when caught in a fight is quick to say "he hit me first!"

Theives are more likely to call another person a theif. Liars are more likely to say others are telling lies.

Look in a mirror, are you better off today than 8 years ago? Is our country?

GP   October 13th, 2008 6:58 pm ET

She said 'Leftist groups', as in plural, yet cited only one organization.

Sounds like she's making it out to be more of a problem than it really is.

Fact of the matter is that thanks to the repubs Help America Vote Act, hundreds of thousands of people have wrongly been purged from voting rolls.

ACORN has flagged suspect registrations. Once a registration is signed ACORN has to hand it in to the secretary of states office, even if they know the registration is bogus.

This is a strawman argument.

Jake   October 13th, 2008 6:57 pm ET

John McCain, it would seem, has served his country with honor, and after the election will be able to serve out his term in the Senate and retire to Arizona to spend his hopefully many remaining days in peace and happiness. And God bless him.

But Sarah Palin, if we can be so privileged, will return to her energy-producing state never to be heard from again after Obama and Biden wipe the floor with her and her running mate in the general election. She seems intent on bringing out the worst in people at these campaign stops. America simply does not need this sideshow.

X-Man   October 13th, 2008 6:57 pm ET

Can CNN report facts to debunk these "sand in the eyes" accusations? Come on folks…consider the source!

1. "Fraud" does not exist until an illegal vote is cast. By the way, that would be ELECTION FRAUD.
2. By law ACORN has to submit all completed registration forms regardless of any questions about those forms.
3. Election officials in many cases were alerted to the questionable form submitted by ACORN by ACORN officials who perform their own quality checks.
4. In many states, voter ID's are required to vote. So if Daffy Duck was registered by ACORN and shows up with a valid ID, guess what, Daffy gets to vote. Otherwise the crime is really the paper wasted to register Daffy.

By the way, if anyone registered 1000 times using the same valid name and address. Guess what? That person can only vote once.

s   October 13th, 2008 6:57 pm ET

This idiot should be sued for slander. ACORN as been active for 30 years without any accusations of fraud- but all of a sudden the GOP are on the verge of losing the election and now they start a falsified witchhunt?!? This as been the blueprint of the republican party for years… I guess in the face of defeat they start projecting. Absolutely pathetic!

Obama/Biden '08

Ms M L Beckham   October 13th, 2008 6:57 pm ET

ACORN registrations are not a huge issue. The problems are in just a few areas. They were caused by employees that have already been fired because of their questionable practices. The bottom line is that if the voter information can't be verified, the person WON'T be allowed to vote!

Keep in mind that ACORN registers Republicans, Independants and Democrats.

Tired of Media   October 13th, 2008 6:57 pm ET

She is not well - she has an unhealthy quest for power and it really is not appealing - it's downright dangerous.

Cheney's agenda you could at least understand - he really didn't try to hide it; he just didn't care what you thought. In Sarah Palin's case, she doesn't seem to have a target for her power - just power for the sake of power - she is incompetent and has average intelligence. She is not qualified for the job of VP, but I am starting to also think that she is not qualified for any high political office (of substantial impact). She is a loose cannon.

waterprise2   October 13th, 2008 6:57 pm ET

Oh please…a few hundred voter registration irregularities is NOT "voter fraud"…just another distraction attempt by a Governor who was just found guilty of "abuse of power"…
Besides, the head of ACORN just produced a photograph of McCain @ an ACORN function just a few years ago where McCain was praising the work of ACORN…
as usual with this Republican ticket one doesn't know what the other is doing…both grasping at straws…
where's the economic policy speech we were promised by Lindsey Graham? Nowhere…just like the McCain-Balin' campaign…

Candia   October 13th, 2008 6:56 pm ET

Rich in Seattle   October 13th, 2008 6:55 pm ET

I know Palin isn't all that bright, but isn't there laws in place that would prevent these people from voting if they don't exist? Just because fake are regestered doesn't mean that fake people can vote.

I am less concerned about fake regestrations as I am about people stopping rightfull people from voting like they have done in the past.

Angela   October 13th, 2008 6:55 pm ET

To me, the issue is not so much that there is voter registration fraud. It is wrong. The voter fraud issue that will indeed impact the election is going to be that whereby eligible voters were purged from voter registration list in key battleground states.

If you register to vote and don't have the supporting documentation to provide at the polls, are you still allowed to vote? I don't think so. So really it is a terrible thing that fradulent registrations were submitted but they can't vote if they are not eligible.

As for voters who are eligible and were taken off the voter registration list, that is indeed more concerning and impacting.

To, the ACORN issue is a non-issue. Fire the folks who submitted the bad registrations.

Both of those states require voter registration forms to be turned in to the proper election officials. ACORN is only following the letter of the law. They are not in the position to review and discard registration forms themselves, that would be tantamount to them reviewing and discarding votes. I think the McCain campaign is once again engaging in very, very misleading rhetoric.

I hate to sound like a whacko conspiracy theorist, but I wouldn't put it past the McCain campaign to be behind these so called fraudulent ballots. How coincincidental it is that this is happening now, when the McCain/Palin ticket is running out of ammo?

Real Talk   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

If McCain wins she should be impeached before she sets foot in the white house.

sh   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

No we should let the right winger who lies to voters about her role in troopergate run the country. We do not need any more liars in White house giving us lectures. Go to Alaska to hunt Moose.

Jennifer   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

So after 2 stolen elections, the CONservatives are suddenly deeply concerned about voter fraud?

Angelique   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

You notice Palin and McCain never bring up the fact, that the Republicans, G.W, Baker, Cheney and all their cronies stole the presidency from the rightfully nominated President. What about the voter fraud committed by Kathrine Harris, and Jeb of Florida? Of course to them this theft was all permissible.

Dylan   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

There is a difference between voter fraud and voter registration fraud. One happens on election day and is more apparent. For those worried that someone with a Tony Romo or T.O. ID is going to show up to the polls, think again.

JOHN WHITE   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

IF OBAMA DOESNT WIN THEN THE MAJORITY OF THE COUNTRY IS…….. WELL IM JUST GOING TO SAY ITS GOIN TO BE A SAD DAY IN AMERICAN HISTORY.

John, Brooklyn, NY   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

Let's see..if a group that actively encourages people to register to vote and take part in the election…..does she mean that, by contrast, she would support groups that actively block people from voting and encourage people to stay home on election day.

Some patriot!

Fed Up   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

McCain is still running for president? I thought he would have the decency to suspend his campaign indefinately

Jamie, Phoenix   October 13th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

Obama should be ashamed that he would want to rig the election by having dead people, resuarants and other fake identities vote for him. But we can't tell the truth about a communitty organising group conducting such fradulent activities. After all, Obama was a community organiser. Must be another one of those don't touch issues. Now he's going to say "Lay off ACORN" just like he said "LAY OFF MY WIFE".

josephine   October 13th, 2008 6:51 pm ET

Maddog57-California   October 13th, 2008 6:50 pm ET

Wow, is she calling the kettle black? Let's be fair Palin, have you been honest, or do you have your hubby do all the dirty work for you?? When the side is losing, they all yell "unfair" but if the Republicans were winning, they wouldn't care one bit!!!

PLEASE VOTE FOR OBAMA!

GRANT   October 13th, 2008 6:50 pm ET

"thanking our veterans for giving them the right to protest"

is it not the Bill Of Rights or the Constitution we should be thanking for the right to protest?

This woman is clueless.

Chipster   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

This right-wing nut thinks anyone to the left of Pat Robertson is a "leftist." The McCain campaign is imploding. Palin can attempt to lay the blame elsewhere but her viciousness and "truthiness" are the reason McCain's judgment has become such a huge issue. The poor woman wouldn't know the truth if it walked up and put lipstick on her.

Jay   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

I think your boy McCain has a closer connection to them then you think SHE-NO

Liz   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

This woman is unbelievable. Most of us would be ashamed to show our face after reading the Troopergate report. She, on the other hand, has no shame b/c she has no conscience. Sarah–you might want to review those 10 commandments.

Amy in Minneapolis   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

This loser has alot of nerve to talk about obama-biden, when she abused her powers!!

AZ Senior   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

How do you "steal" an election from someone who is behind?

Barbara - 65 yr old white female in NC   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

She needs to talk to Mac about his G. Gordon Liddy connections. On second thought, she needs to go back to Alaska and deal with her abuse of power there - and maybe take care of her own kids.

Obama/Biden (3 days 'til early vote)

MERLE7   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

THIS IS COMING FROM A FAR RIGHT WING EXTREMIST SO FAR SHE WANTS TO ALASKA TO BE ITS OWN COUNTRY,SUCCESSIONIST

Coming for the Unethical queen herself   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

Coming for the Unethical Queen herself, Ms. I can abuse power! We can not let two count them two UNETHICAL people govern or country. We as Americans should be "ill" at the possibility!!

And it's just like her to sound off first and check facts later, typical McCain and Palin.

deb   October 13th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

Palin just needs to shut up already! This woman is beyond pathetic! Thank God people are finally seeing the Republican team for what they are…desperate, lying and angry. McCain has shown his true colors. He's erratic, short-tempered, doesn't have a plan, is mean-spirited and divisional. Just the fact that he selected Palin as his running mate shows poor judgment. If he truly had "country first" in mind he would never have chosen this right wing, uneducated, il-informed, snide, hypocritical nut case. He sounds like a spoiled little boy who is used to getting his way and not handling it well. Grow up!

Obama and Biden have consistently taken the high road, have actual plans, are calm, cool and collected, highly educated and will be ready on day one. I feel for them, though, because Bush has made such a mess of things that Obama and Biden will have one hell of a clean up job ahead of them. Best of luck to the BEST team!! Go Obama/Biden!

Jade   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

November 4th can't some soon enough so we don't have to listen to anymore of this insane woman's drivel.

"Gotta keep those dark… I mean, community organizers, in their place"

Go, Sarah, GO! The further the better!

Mike   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

Doesn't she know that Senator McCain attended ACORN function just as recently as 2006. There a pictures with him on the front row of an Acorn Ralley. So this make Senator McCain just like BO.

Obama/Biden

John   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

we cannot let separatist groups win and Cede Alaska from the Union either.

Bridget   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

What does Governor Palin propose that her supporters do to prevent "leftists" from stealing the election? They're probably drawing their own scary conclusions as to what they'll do. Frightening stuff.

Dee Dee Lynn   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

We can't let leftist groups steal the election? But I suppose its perfectly fine if right-wing groups do it (again)?

LYNETTE IN CA   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

THE POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK …AGAIN!

OBAMA / BIDEN '08

Dennis from CA   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

This lame duck seems to forget that John McCain was the #1 supporter of ACORN, until he needed something to hit Obama with. Wow… seriously…. I can't wait until the 4th now… Please go out and vote for Obama people, so liars and intimidators like these get their lesson. This country will not be lead by fear and intimidation. We stand as one.

PS. Someone buy Palin a one way ticket to Alaska please….

the other jd   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

I mean couldn't raise any more $…

Susan, California   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

First she encourages ignoring subpoenas, then she is found guilty of abusing her power–some credibility. Stop grasping for straws.

Andy   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

If this is true, it's an unfortunate turn of events. However, you have to remember 1) that the same fraud has been found from conservative groups (hmmm, where's that liberal bias FauxNews always talks about? and 2) that Palin considers moderate Republicans leftist.

T'SAH from Virginia   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

Ms. PA'IN - if you are SO CONCERNED about "registration fraud" - then why don't you get "FIRST GENTLEMAN" to go and investigate this situation!!!! Ask him to make a few "phone call" and try to get everyone responsible FIRED!!! … LOL

YOU are a ROBOT and have NO AGENDA of your own!!!

OBAMA/BIDEN 2008-2016!!! YES WE CAN!!!

Wendy   October 13th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

There wouldn't have been a need for organizations like Acorn if it weren't for the practice of voter supression by republicans.

Enlightened Voter   October 13th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

Do you mean like the rethuglicans stole the 2004 election? I think you better go back to Alaska sister and face those unethical charges you were charged with in trooper gate. You betcha!

the other jd   October 13th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

Wait…I thought Palin/McCain had accepted public funding and could raise any more $…

Chris from STL   October 13th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

CNN … there is big difference between "voter registation fraud" and 'voter fraud'. You need to be more worried about 'voter fraud' - which is in the control of election officials, NOT Acorn.

CM   October 13th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

The truth is that you have been found guilty of abuse of power and Alaskan ethical laws. You can't even admit

JayT.   October 13th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

Are the Republicans really wanting to bring up voter fraud? A party whose base brags about ways to keep people from voting. Stick to the issues, Sarah. Like how you've been a governor for under two years and have already been busted for abuse of power and betraying the public trust by a bi-partisan legislature.

David   October 13th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

You know, if this is the Republican strategy, why bother campaigning at all until about two weeks out. Then run a bunch of ads and stir up some baseless accusations in order to scare the fringe and the undecideds.

Policy and vision apparently have no place in the Palin / McCain vocabulary.

Tom Lee   October 13th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

She only brings old stuff up because they have run out of ideas! Go back to Alaska.

Emma, San Jose, CA   October 13th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

While Palin is slandering the opposition, a lot of us have voted and will vote for the opposition before Nov. 4. So her remarks, which are baseless will not make a big difference this late in the campaign.

Independent for Obama   October 13th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

I wouldn't put it past the republicans to try and stir up controversy. If there was any voter fraud, it was probably done by them. They will stop at nothing to win this and that is obvious.

Muckinello   October 13th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

Who cares about Sarah.. they had to explain to her that ACORN was not "a corn", like "why should I attack a corn?"

JD in Moraga   October 13th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

And America can't allow Palin / McCain Republicans to steal this election - otherwise, we might end up in war with Czechoslovakia or one of the countries which may or many not share a border with Afghanistan…

Tina Fey for VP! She's better at being Palin than Palin is!

jneill7854   October 13th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

Can we now admit the obvious? Sarah Palin is unqualified to be vice president. She is a feisty, charismatic politician who has done some good things in Alaska. But she has never spent a day thinking about any important national or international issue, and this is NOT the time to start.

Ken, Republican Voting for Obama   October 13th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

S - Sarah
M - McCain
E - Erratic
A - Arrogance
R - Response
S - Stupid

Kathy   October 13th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

I'll tell you who has a history of FIXING elections, it's the Republicans. They suppress the vote, don't have enough voting machines in heavily Democratic areas, toss out votes, and have Diebold under their wing. If any party has a really bad history with every vote counting, it's the Republicans. Problem is they don't think every actually has the right to vote. Sarah Palin has alot of nerve talking about anything that has to do with ethics, we know she doesn't have any.

Ms White   October 13th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

I wish she would just go home

Patricia from Las Vegas   October 13th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

Don't worry your pretty little head with such nonsense! The 'leftist groups' won't 'steal' the election. However, us hard working American citizens will vote Barack Obama as our next president of the United States because he is the leader we want. Honestly, the garbage that comes from this woman's mouth defies description. And Senator McCain, for someone of your age, you sure are immature. Neither one of you has the qualities that I want for my President!!! I am voting for integrity and vision. I am voting for Barack Obama.

Dave   October 13th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

McCain-Palin need to start getting serious about their comittment to leading their country, and stop playing these stupid little mind games. With the reporting these days, the electorate is so knowledgeable of the past republican fear mongering tricks and slanders that they are waiting and waiting to hear some substantial ideas? Are they going to come or do we have to put up with more shameless lies or at least untruths from the GOP's

Farrell, Houston, Tx   October 13th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

Palin continues false slanderous accusations. John McCain says one thing about stopping the nasty attacks, his word can't be trusted.

Gretchen   October 13th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

At what point will the Republican Party leaders take control of this out of control self proclaimed hockey-mom?! Good God - if I was ever considering voting Republican you can kiss that idea goodbye. The fact that they and John McCain have allowed her to plant these seeds is totally disgusting and by allowing her to continue is the same as condoning it. McCain should be ashamed of himself and his campaign. Whose running this thing anyway - if its McCain, shame on him - if he is letting someone else run it, shame on him again - its his good name or what's left of it thats being tarnished here.

Some one needs to shut Palin down and quick.

David   October 13th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

I think the GOP should give the Dems some credit. They haven't had the veto-proof majority that Republicans had for the majority of the last 15 years. That aside, the GOP certainly seems blamable for many of the problems we face, as the Dems didn't take Congress until 2006. Also the Republican president.

Jim Reynolds   October 13th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

How touching that Sarah Palin is suddenly afraid of community organizers!

Mrs. Texas Teacher   October 13th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

I agree, Toni. This is sad…. the odor of desperation is very strong here.

Chut Pata   October 13th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

Something tells me desperate Republicans are sending in those ridiculously fake registration forms to sabotage ACORN efforts to register poor people. They know all poor people will vote Obama, so stop this process by shutting down ACORN.

OBama already won   October 13th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

Hey they'll say whatever they want to win, right

Donna   October 13th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

Does Palin even know what ACORN is? Did someone fully explain that they aren't referring to the treats that squirrels love?

Jordan Buell   October 13th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

Unless you have the bodies there to vote on election day, it doesn't matter how many false registrations are filed. The idea that Democrats are trying to steal the election is ridiculous- and I'm a Republican. ACORN is a bipartisan group, and has been respected by both parties. They are legally obligated to turn in all the forms they collect, even if they believe those forms to be suspicious. This is smoke and mirrors. As a voter I'm frustrated, and as a Republican I'm ashamed of the current tactics being used in this election– nothing is so obvious as false indignation. What we should be talking about is the economy.

America   October 13th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

ACORN HAS NEVER ONCE BROKEN ANY LAW WHAT SO EVER!!! WHICH IS ALOT MORE THEN I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS FEMALE DOG.

Jerry Ohio   October 13th, 2008 6:41 pm ET

What about Bush stole the election in 2000and 2004 what you have to say about that McCain and Palin…

Obama/Biden 08

sarah you need to stop going so neg. and talk about real issues that 's if you any

Devon Spencer   October 13th, 2008 6:41 pm ET

Oh, but we can allow you to steal the 2000 election from Gore and give it to Bush who the nation now regards as the worst president in history.
Thanks, but no thanks! We want Obama, not McCain.
Please… We are going to win this election because we have the votes to win.

Obama '08

Biff   October 13th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

this is all about having cover to challenge voters on election day.

Acorn was NEVER CONVICTED OF ANYTHING…

as a matter of fact, =THEY are the ones who made election officials aware of the ones that are in question.

Once agian… dirty a$$ed republican tricks…. and so now…. the purging of the rolls and the republican voter suppression goes on UN CHECKED and un REPORTED…..

HOW ABOUT REPORTING THAT SIDE OF IT.

James   October 13th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

Yeah, we wouldn't want a leftist group to steal the election, we'll leave that to the GOP. This woman is so stupid, dumb, moronic, idiotic. None of these words can accurately describe the fool from Alaska.

White-African(born there) American Military BRAT   October 13th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

LEFTIST????

PALIN'S a RIGHT WING FANATIC…….
a WHITE SUPREMIST in Sheeps clothing.

IT'S NOT LEFTISTS THEY HAVE TO FEAR…….

IT'S THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

N.S of Huntsville, Al   October 13th, 2008 6:39 pm ET

The community organizing group also said that in 2006, John McCain appeared at an immigration reform rally it co-sponsored in Miami. “Maybe it is out of desperation that Senator McCain has forgotten that he was for ACORN before he was against ACORN,” Bertha Lewis, ACORN’s chief organizer, said in a statement released Monday.

ENOUGH SAID RIGHT THERE IN THOSE FEW SENTENCES. DO YOUR FACT CHECK CNN. KEEPING THEM HONEST.

BUSTED AGAIN MCCAIN

Tim in Seattle   October 13th, 2008 6:39 pm ET

Fraudulant registrations mean NOTHING - if they dont' show up with a valid ID at the voting booth then there is no voter fraud here…and don't forget - ACORN's registering voters for BOTH parties….

….and if Palin crafted that email then my name is Ronald Reagan….

Republican for Obama   October 13th, 2008 6:39 pm ET

That's funny, because McCain and lots of other Republicans are friends of ACORN. Grow up moose lady!

Lauren in California   October 13th, 2008 6:39 pm ET

Hey, attack dog, no one is going to steal the election. You are going to lose fair and square because you are an absolute idiot.

Cynthia; Bham   October 13th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

This coming from someone who has been found guilty of abusing her power as Governor. Wow
