Their timing is interesting i.e. making a very hip ad for a very hip candidate near then end of the campaign when the hip guy seems to be winning.

Also, while I like the sentiment of "anything to get the young people involved", let me remind those of us with older children, would you invite your 18 year old in to discuss your next home purchase, interest rates, or retirement investments? Would you trush your 19 year old college son or daughter to pick out your next vehicle? Sooooo . . . why are we so fervent about getting our young people heavily involved indeciding who our leader should be?

Well, the sad part, is our children like these actor/singers etc... So I don't have a problem with them telling these kids to get involved in the political process because it is their country as well.

For everyone who is upset because the "celebrities" are endorsing Obama and it shows how "out of touch" Hollywood is - would you feel the same if they were endorsing McCain? So what if you don't agree with them on the candidates? Are you really going to boycott television shows that you enjoy because of the actors' personal political beliefs? If you don't agree with them - don't listen - that goes for anyone who's endorsing one candidate or another. Thank God celebrities are here to tell me how I should vote. I wouldn't know what to do without them! I'm incapable of thinking for myself, but they're on television and in movies so I should listen to them. In fact, they're so smart that most of them didn't even need to go to college so they skipped it altogether and waited tables in Hollywood until someone noticed them.

I'm all for targeting youth vote. But as an Obama supporter, I'm worried this ad could open up an attack line for the Republicans to rip on the Hollywood elitists and their alliance with Democrats. Obama's campaign is doing pretty well already, especially among young voters. Not sure this overtly Hollywood appeal is going to help much, but it could open up the door for Republican attakcs.

I would wonder why these rich people care for Obama. Obama is going to expire taxe cuts Bush gave to those making over 25,000.

Then I realize their age. McCain has to live another 20 years or less, and can happily live for these remaining days not caring what happens afterwards. These kids have a whole life to live, and realize there would be nothing left for them when they grow up.
