(CNN) - Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin plans to appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend, multiple sources told CNN Thursday.

Saturday Night Live has featured opening skits in which former cast member and Palin lookalike Tina Fey portrays the Alaska governor. It was not known whether Fey also will appear on Saturday night's program.

The program airs at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Furthermore, Sarah is more genuine and forward and willing to take a risk than the spitball throwing, shadows-lurking rageaholics on the left. And coming from a newsroom veteran like myself, I know the infantile venom that's spewed continually by those who, well, just don't hold a candle to Ms. Palin and the shrill shriekers who would tune in to such a woefully biased, pathetically in-the-tank cadre of unprofessional propagandists. You shame the industry you've wholly infiltrated. Keep fooling yourselves that you're "serious" journalists, you attention-starved divas.

Won't watch it ..... I'd rather see Tina Fey portray Palin than Palin herself. Fey is more genuine

What I'm wondering is how can SNL consistantly put out hilarious opening skits then have the rest of the show totally suck. Without the Hilary and Palin parities, the show is garbage.

Palin had said recently that she "looks forward to meeting her (Fey) and hopes to impersonate her and give her more material"

    This woman is amazingly clueless....

Why? Sarah, America is laughing AT you not WITH you.

The McCain campaign has lurched from one irrational stunt to another. How can any sane person vote for someone who has run such a disgraceful, ineffectual, hateful campaign? This is how McCain will run the country if he gets the chance...God forbid!

How about the Governor show up on some real shows such as Meet the Press, Face the Nation, the Today Show, Good Morning America, 60 Minutes or CNN and talk to some real reporters such as the ones that work for the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times or the Chicago Tribune OR interview for some real magazines such as Time, Newsweek, etc.

Just when I thought the McCain camp could not stoop any lower, I read the post on robocalls accusing Obama as having a "close relationship" with a domestic terrorist and more. Is this the same John McCain who was the victim of sleazey George Bush robocalls in the 2000 primaries???

I also find that "Joe the Plumber" is not some random person at a rope line, but is some sort of "star" of ultra right wing talk radio. Not only that, he does not have a plumbers licence, makes about $40K, has no plan to buy has boss's plumbing business, and has owed back taxes since January 2007. A plant??? [not the potted kind]

If those 2 ever debate.. Tina Fey would win hands down... even while impersonating Palin.

How can Palin appear on SNL if she can't even do an interview with CNN, NBC, a press conference...?

What will happen if the teleprompter "fails"?

Might as well get all the publicity you can get. Your 15 minutes are almost up. Both you and McCain can have your television spots. Make it a good one, you never know. Acting could of been something you both could of done well at, since leadership isn't a key qualification of the job.
