What a sad state for America.

A: Sen. Obama - Has about as much experience as Sarah Palin, when it comes to being President. GREAT speaker, but not confident about what's behind the speeches....

B. Sen. McCain - Has a ton of experience...but not necessarily the kind we need as President. HORRID speaker, but not confident about what's behind the speeches...

Is there a third choice? :)

You Democrats are a bunch of hypocrites.. Enjoy the advantage this election. It will be your last. Now that the rules have changed there is no doubt that the Republicans will adapt. Additionally, mark my words that after the election it will come out that Obama has been taking foriegn money and it will be a hugh scandle.. All of you Obama kool-aid drinkers who do not pay takes and are looking for something for nothing enjoy it while it lasts, it will be fleeting

Do you guys think Obama raised all this money from every average Joe in America? Guess again. He is being backed by some big money. Do you really think that we have an economic crisis? It's a wag the dog situation. The only way Obama can win is on the economy and so, low and behold, we have an economic crisis! And the Democrats are paying off their good 'ol friends with more of our tax dollars who are laughing all the way to the bank, or the resort or wherever they are heading for fun! If you vote for Obama and all the rest of the Democrats we are in a world of hurt. I'm not sure where Obama gets his facts but most of the small businesses that I know make over $250,000. They will be forced to cut employees and benefits in order to pay for the higher taxes. They will raise their prices on products to pay for the higher taxes. And so, in the end, you will pay for it. You better start looking at the freebies that Obama thinks we owe everyone and decide if they truly are important or if we want to have a tax freeze and re-evaluate the programs we have in place now to see where they can be improved. Government waste is rampant. Why doesn't Obama want to address this to save money? He wouldn't even answer McCain when asked where he thought we could start cutting programs. Obama says we need to cut some but won't tell us which one, not until he can analyze them. What has he been doing for 20-some months? Wake up. You need to see what is really going on.

God you robots are so ignorant! Obama has acquired large amounts of money from overseas and thru credit card fraud. In case you're NOT paying attention to the news, you'd better check your credit card statements to see if YOUR card has been illegally charged 2300.00 for Obama. Also....for those of you who don't get it, McCain took public financing which is what Obama promised to take and therefore only gets one amount of 85 million. Obama backed out because he knew his "foreign" buddies were going to be pouring money into his campaign. McCain can't take more money from donations because he is following the rules!

Fact Check: Does McCain plan no education reform outside of D.C.?
Posted: 07:39 AM ET
The Statement:

At a presidential debate Wednesday, Oct. 15, in Hempstead, New York, Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama criticized Republican opponent Sen. John McCain's education proposals. "The centerpiece of Senator McCain's education policy is to increase the voucher program in D.C. by 2,000 slots," Obama said. "That leaves all of you who live in the other 50 states without an education reform
policy from Senator McCain."

Get the facts!

The Facts:

McCain supports providing government money in the form of school vouchers to parents seeking to send their children to private schools. He proposes expanding what's called The D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program, which currently provides vouchers for more than 1,900 students in the nation's
capital. The children's families have an average annual income of $23,000, according to McCain's campaign Web site, and another 7,000 have applied. He proposes increasing funds for the program from $13 million to $20 million, opening it to roughly 1,000 more families.

McCain's other proposals for education, as detailed on his campaign Web site, include expanding funding for at least one Head Start center in each state. Head Start is a program designed to help at-risk students get an early start on their education. McCain also proposes requiring all federally supported preschools to offer comprehensive teaching in subjects including literacy, math readiness and social skills.

The site says McCain would devote a set percentage of funding to states to recruit top teachers, provide bonuses to teachers who move to underperforming schools, give principals more control over spending and invest in online education.

The Verdict:

False. While education has been less prominent than issues like the economy and the war in Iraq in both candidate's campaigns, McCain has several education proposals other than school vouchers.

So........Obama takes millions of $ from millions of people to buy the election.
Next........he uses the millions $ to pay for hundreds of ads to specific networks who gives him complete support and crushes his opponents.
Then.......he is winning his bid for the presidency so far by promising to borrow money to give his supporters as an economical stimulus for food and gas etc, to replace some of the funds they sent to pay for his campaign, and to take from the rich and give to the poor and spread the wealth around in a socially generous way.
And........all this increases the deficit, which we and our children and grandchildren will pay, and the future obamas will keep on coming.

If you guys think that the majority of small businesses won't be affected by Obama's plan than you are in a dream world. It is a fact that people like Joe the Plumber run small business and if they are paying through the nose they will not hire more employees, they will raise their rates, and they will not provide benefits. You will pay, one way or the other. $250,000 is not much money for a small business to pull in. Obama hasn't made it clear if his $250,000 is net or gross, even though it really doesn't matter much. It will cost our country so much more under Obama because not only will there be no new job creation but there will be job cuts. We will have more people on welfare. We will be paying more for all products and services because employers will have to make it up somehow. Most of my adult life I have worked for a small business. A small business is even someone that grosses $1,000,000. He/she might have a few employees. They try to provide benefits for these employees. They will participate in their community and encourage their employees to do the same. They are small business. THEY WILL BE HURT BY OBAMA'S PLAN AND SO WILL YOU!

Again, Why would McCain keep talking about together and country, yet he refuse to share the WEALTH, and talking about country first yet against paying tax to the country you claim to love so much. The more money you make the less you contribute to this great nation that you love so much, that dose not make sense to me. America is $53 trillion in debt, how are we to get out without everyone doing the best they can for the country they love so very much.

Barack Obama will be to the presidency what Tiger Wood is to gulf. Just like Woods change the dynamics of gulf, Obama will also change Washington.

If vote was needed for Tiger Woods to get a shot at the game most likely he would not be playing gulf today. Yet he came out of no where and make the game more appealing for everyone.

Why can't Obama stand up for anything? He lies about all of his connections - Ayers, Wright and now ACORN. CNN's own fact checker says Obama had more connections with ACORN than Obama admits to. All of you people that see Obama as this cool, calm put together guy are only seeing what you want. Take off the blinders!!! He did start his first political campaign in the home of Ayers. It is undisputed. And it does go to the character of the candidate. Obama couldn't even say to McCain's face what he really thinks of Palin, and not "because he is a decent person". He is afraid to say anything bad about her because then some women might not vote for him. Character is an issue, and should be with any political campaign. If the candidate hangs out with people of questionable reputation, how can you trust him? And, if it were only one instance with one person it would be a different story. There are too many to not have an affect on who this "Obama" really is. I'm sure that none of the Obama supporters notice that whenever someone in Obama's campaign is asked about any of these people the response is instantly "let's talk about the economy". Could this economy thing be a "wag the dog"? They knew it was the only way Obama would win. That was his strong point (supposedly). People that had mortgages that are being foreclosed on paid insurance at the time of the loan because if you don't have 80% equity it is required, always. So there really isn't anyone that should have lost money on a bad mortgage because once it defaulted the insurance should have taken care of the loan. The insurance company might be in a pinch but other than that, there is not a bank that gave a loan out that should have been affected by this. Think about it. Wag the dog…

Why can't Obama stand up for anything? He lies about all of his connections – Ayers, Wright and now ACORN.

Obama Campaign

I have been donating and will continue to donate to the Obama Campaign. I believe he is going to be a good President to bring changes from top leves to bottom. I do not see race and color but rather to see who is able to do a better job and that answer is Obama/Biden!

Let's stop any kind of hatred, jealousy, racism...

I ponied up some money myself, and I'm glad it seems to be paying off. If people don't like it that Obama has all this money from donations, you could try donating to McCain's campaign.

Oh wait, you can't, he accepted public financing...

Was that Tactics or Strategy?

I guess this is what happens when you promise to take public funds and then "change your mind" when it is convienent. All the people who think McCain's adds are dishonest should take a close look at Obama's statements. Some highlights: I will take public funds, Ayers was just a guy in the neighborhood, Reverend Wright never made offensive statements in front of me over the 20 year period I attended his church (guess he waited for Obama to run for president to turn extreme). None of those things disqualify one for President, but lying to the American people about them probably should.....

No matter what Obama does, he is WRONG. I can't believe the media can compare Obama's ads to McCain's! Well, the rest of us see and hear the difference!

"Never wrestle with a Pig. You will only get dirty. And besides, the Pig likes it!"

That is how McCain works with his followers. He wrestles with trying to please them. In the process he is really getting dirty! He is starting to smell just like them, isn't he? And, he seems to LIKE IT!

And that is how I see Obama. He did not bother to wrestly with McCain last night. He refused to stoop to his level. And Nothing would have pleased McCain more!

It's easy for McCain to throw mud from a distance. But he does not have the.... hmmmmm... how to say it nicely.... something like pecans.... *GRIN* to do it in person. And Obama is much too well mannered to get down on his level and sling mud with him.

"McCain does his little two step.... side step.... DC shuffle!"
We are no longer amused!

Hey, I heard FOX news stole part of my jingle! Dang..... *LOL*

It's an obscene amount. Goes to show you Obama will do anything to get elected, and hell the press has done everything but hand the presidency to him! He doesn't care. Not about you, not about me. He does care about himself and his ambition and his ego. It's disgusting that the man with the most money wins. That doesn't mean he's the best. He's not.

I really want a dumbocrat that has to spend $4-5 dollars to buy every vote running my country. This is typical of liberal waste and the total disconnect they have from reality.

I hope when the election is over that there is a real investigation into where Obama's money came from. All of his supporters claim poverty. The funds cannot be legal.

McCain/Palin and their ads are an insult to the people of the United States. The debate last night clearly showed McCain is an idiot and I am sick of hearing about Joe the plumber. Based on what I have read Joe, didn't pay taxes, and his brother is married to Keating's daughter. I believe this to be a set up by McCain, again. NO MCCAIN, NO MORE OF THE SAME, AND CERTAINLY NO PALIN.

The Obama campaign's organization and superb strategy is a huge indication of how he will be as President. This gives me a lot of confidence in him.

If the tables were turned the McCain camp would have no problem bragging about how much money they have raised and rubbing it in everyone's faces.

The Obama camp knew the only way to fight the Republican political machine was to fight fire with fire. Not attack ads.... but getting the truth out there. The difference between Obama's attack ads and McCain's is that Obama is talking about the issues and McCain's stance on them. He exposes him! While McCain uses outright lies and exaggerations to attack Obama.... it's fear and hate mongering of the worst kind!

McSAME and McBarbie BullDog need to get real. No one can believe anything they say except the die hard Right who truly enjoy the negative attack ads.

McCain, if you lie down with pigs, don't be surprised if you get up smelling like a HOG!

Obama outspending McCain on negative ads as well. By over $2 million dollars acording to CNN. The only reason that his percentage of negative ads is so low is because he has so many more.

But what can we expect from a liar that promised to honor public funding then changed his mind when it was inconvienent. just like he has done so on so many other issues.

And this is the man you think woulds make a good president.

I am so glad I gave money to the Obama campaign. Money well spent.
A little bit here, a little bit there, helping to ensure that McCain gets No Where!!!! McCain and Palin are hate-mongers and fear-mongers and our country has seen too many of those already. Plus...I just want a smart president. Is that really so much to ask?

Obama cares so much about you, that he is blowing millions of dollars on ads. That money could be better used to help the "American People" Obama has had some of the most offensive, sick ads ever. So many of the respondents on this site can't seem to voice an adult opinion. What is with all the immature name calling?

I have never, ever before donated money to a political campaign in the 38 years that I have been of voting age. This year I made a $25 donation to the Obama/Biden campaign. It seems that there are many thousands like me... that is where the money comes from, because we know money is needed to fight the wealthy gop.

Machiavelli, you are my hero. My sentiments exactly. I am happy to pay MORE taxes than those who make less than me. It's not fair any other way. We finally have a democratic candidate who makes sense, wants to spread the wealth, and help the middle man! I am relieved to see that many Americans aren't falling for the fear-mongering tactics of republicans any longer. I am so tired of those who want "Liberty, freedom and less government" but then want to dictate to me that I can't have the freedom of choice on anything! God Bless the middle man, and God Bless America. Now, please get out and VOTE!!!!

It is disgusting that this much money is being spent to be elected President. Just buy your way into office! How grand! Wake UP People! You don't always get what you think you are paying for. If all those people who donated all that money put it towards helping the poor, homeless, or even the Katrina victims and now the Galvaston victims our country would be much better off. Think about that next time you donated your dollars......And exactly where did all the money come from? I seem to have read something about questionable foreign donors.....?

ACORN Responds to Senator McCain’s Desperate Attack
October 15, 2008

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, ACORN National President Maude Hurd issued the following statement in response to Senator John McCain’s attack:

"We appreciate Senator McCain's effort to stir up the Republican base by attacking a community organization working to increase public participation in our democratic process. However, these attacks reflect an increasingly panicked candidate. Unfortunately, the Senator McCain we saw tonight is very different than the Senator McCain who stood shoulder to shoulder with ACORN at a February 20, 2006 immigration reform event.

It is clear for us to see that John McCain was for ACORN before he was against ACORN; he was for reform before he was against reform; and he was a maverick before he became erratic. What is really going on here is that Senator McCain and his allies are part of a coordinated effort to engage in what appears to be an unprecedented effort to suppress voter turnout. Repeating a lie doesn't make it true, and the McCain campaign has resorted to the worst type of deceptions in regards to ACORN."

The Facts:

ACORN has helped 1.3 million citizens from all parties and all walks of life apply for voter registration.
In most states, ACORN is required by law to turn in every voter registration card - even in cases where the cards are not valid.
It is ACORN that has reported almost all of the issues regarding voter registration cards to elections officials, and flagged the suspicious cards.
Invalid voter registration cards do NOT constitute voter fraud. Even RNC General Counsel Sean Cairncross has recently acknowledged he is not aware of a single improper vote cast as a result of bad cards submitted in the course of an organized voter registration effort.
ACORN hired 13,000 field workers to register people to vote. In any endeavor of this size, some people will engage in inappropriate conduct. ACORN has a zero tolerance policy and terminated any field workers caught engaging in questionable activity. At the end of the day, as ACORN is paying these people to register voters, it is ACORN that is

It is sad that this is necessary. It's hard to listen to the call ins after the debate and realize just how many Americans buy into McCain, are racially biased, uneducated and gullible, or are willing to continue believing someone who has lied and mislead us more than any candidate in history. I do not believe that many McCain supporters can be filthy rich and greedy. Even if you don't have a firm grasp of the issues, are unwilling to do your own research, or can't understand politics, you can always judge a man by his honesty. McCain has been proven a liar, and misleading con man, this whole election process. You trusted Bush and look where it got you. No Obama is not perfect, but he is a hell of a lot better than THAT!

It's nice to see that some people have all that $$$$ when most people are seeing their 401k's and pensions slipping away. But somehow, somehow, a person who has just spent all that $$ in his campaign is really going to help Mid America. I don't think so! Then again, there's always Biden. Apersonwho has been in the senate for many yrs and who has tried, unsuccessfully, to be president. We wouldn't vote for him to be president but we're going to vote for him to be VP?????
