She is for state rights when it comes to abortion (wants to take down Roe v Wade) yet she wants the feds to decide when it comes to gay marriage rights? She is not a "federalist" as she says....she really doesn't make any sense and she would wreck our country.

Sarah Palin has proved to be a hilariously-entertaining and potent one-woman Get-Out-The-Obama-Vote machine: every time she demonstrates her narrow-minded knucklehead ideas she adds to the Obama/Biden victory margin. You go, girl!!!!!!! (Back to Juneau, I mean.)

Seems like Sarah Palin is laying the groundwork for her own run for national office by trying to separate herself from the McCain campaign. Great selection there, John.

They certainly do disagree a lot don't they?
And also...since when is McCain pro-life? I thought I remembered him being pro-choice back when I actually liked him because he was a totally different person.

I just want this all to be over. I'm so sick of listening to the both of these clowns.

Obama-Biden '08. GET OUT AND VOTE!!!

Next thing you know someone will write an amendment to ban all marriages of those who happen to be part of the evangelical movement (not sure movement is an accurate description). This is precisely the problem with McFlipper and Palin. Neither can see that diminishing the consititution sets the stage for their rights being tampered with. This selective morality needs to stop.

I just don't like McGrit & Mrs.Gritter.
I hope Nov 4 comes soon, so I don't have to listen to these two idiots.
One is a joe plummer and the other is ja oe the six packer.
Can you imagine how low the bar is for these two in a presidential elections?
One is going to loose his honour, credibility and the other loosing her seat for governor
McOld did not put the country first. He put himself first, and McMoose put herself first .
Good riddens to both.
Vote for Obama & Biden.

Mrs. Obama discussed her party's socialist plans for America with a group of women in Harrisburg, NC.:
"Most Americans", she said, "don't want much. They don't want the whole pie," she told the women."There are some who do, but most Americans feel blessed just being able to thrive a little bit."
This from a socialist who made $4.2 million last year. What a hypocrite.

This is the same woman who lied in her interview with Couric, stating that she is not the person who would impose rules on the lives of others.

The "sanctity of marriage" argument is as outdated as creationism, and these nut cases need to stop denying equal rights to others, regardless of their sexual orientation.

Hi, this is from germany, an external view and comment on the american election:
I like america, have been there several times and think it´s a great country. But if you´re really going to make Sarah Palin a vice president the only possible interpretation would be: a whole nation (or at least half of it) went nuts.
I don´t agree with McCain on most issues but he is electable in some way, but Palin ....?

Please don´t do it, It won´t be a joke, it would be a deseaster, not just for america.

Isn't that a flip flop from her debate position? I remember her mentioning she had friends of all backgrounds, inferring that she had some homosexual friends.

She is also in favor of a federal law requiring a witch doctor in every district. . . .

I agree with Palin when it comes to the traditional marriage being between a man and a woman, even animals know that. Have u ever seen a she-goat mating with a she-goat?
The family is the foundation of a society. Lets not destroy it because of politics.
I disagree with McCain and Palin when they say Obama's tax cut is Socialist. Then is McCain's plan to buy bad mortgages not socialists? Why is he planning to save those who didn't plan their finances well?
This is for the conservatives:I think Obama is more of a good Christian than you think. He loves GOD.

This maverick garbage is getting out of hand. If they can't agree on a number of issues, how exactly do they plan to work together for the greater good of the country? Also, I am sick of Palin and the rest of the conservatives working tirelessly to push their issues and agendas on us. Palin is right to have an OPINION, but that does not mean that her views are those that should be put into law.

So you say you won't judge people's choices in life partner, but you would enact federal legislation to deny them those choices. How would a constitutional amendment against same sex marriage NOT be an explicit, manifest judgement against that choice?

So, the Queen of the Run-on Sentence wants the States to determine a woman's right to abortion, but a constitutional amendment to stop gay marriage? Yeah, right. That makes no sense.

And she can't seem to understand that our current progressive tax system is EXACTLY what she defines as "socialist".

“I'm not going to be out there judging individuals, sitting in a seat of judgment telling what they can and can't do, should and should not do,”

What? That's EXACTLY what you're doing. You're telling them they can't get married.

If this woman had a brain cell it would be very very lonely.

it is clear that this woman is on a constant power trip. You can tell already that she thinks in her own mind that she is running for president and if ever thrown into that position she will force and push her creationist beliefs on the country. HOW COULD AMERICANS EVER VOTE FOR THIS TICKET!!!!!!!.... were the 42% of american backing mccain frozen in a cryogenic chamber for the past 8 years????? I just don't understand how this is happening. I agree with tina fey, "if mccain and palin are elected I am leaving earth!"

Ya Know .There's not enough love in this world. Nobody can argue with that. So if two people want to signify their commitment to one another by taking marrage vows then I'm all for it. Palin is against it because it looks good and gets votes. Well when you go back to Alaska Sarah you can set you watch back 40 years. everywhere else in the world we welcome loveing people whatever gender they are.

Sorry, Gov. Palin -- I fail to see how allowing two people who love each other to marry poses any threat to society. My ("traditional") marriage is, if anything, made stronger by the government not interfering in the matter.

Reminds me of that interview Sarah did where she basically said she 'tolerates' homosexuals. Sorry, but as a proud member of the gay/lesbian community I can't tolerate a woman who is obviously homophobic and intolerant of those who are different than her. Someone should also inform her that being gay is NOT a choice. I was born this way, and I'm not going to let a bunch of extreme right-wingers tell me it's wrong to be myself.

How can the republicans tolerate someone (i.e Palin) who has such disdain for federalism? The republican ticket really is incoherent. I used to consider myself more aligned with the republicans, but I can't even tell what that means anymore. So far, I can glean that republicans favor more big, federal government rules and more big spending. Interesting - and scary, seeing as Ms. Big Government herself wants to **expand** the power of the VP to preach - and impose - her far-from-mainstream religious views.

The democrat ticket seems like the only sensible one to support this time around - even for Joe the Plumber and everyone like him.

Note the "because" clause she offers in support of this federal ban: "I wish on a federal level that that's where we would go because I don't support gay marriage." Thanks, Governor, for that rare glimpse into your complex rationale. Forgive me, I'm having some trouble getting from the premise to the conclusion. I seem to recall some folks a while back who didn't support women's suffrage, or black suffrage, or the emancipation of slaves, and some these days who don't support the second amendment. Seems like we're missing something in-between in the inference.

This is one issue on which I see eye-to-eye with Sarah.

Unfortunately, America's problems today do not revolve around this one issue of gay marriage.

Sorry, Sarah, but John McCain gambled when he picked you, and that's not maverick; that's lack of visionary leadership on his part.

Some compare your limited executive experience with Obama's limited national political experience, but Obama had to prove himself from a field of nine Democratic contenders over a period of 19 months. That he could have beaten Hillary Clinton meant he was his own man. You have not done anything yet to prove you are your own woman.

McCain should have picked Mitt Romney and Obama would have had his work made more difficult.

Palin needs to understand that GAY MARRIAGE is not going to weaken TRADITIONAL Marriage. It is just a way to allow two people that have decided to devote their lives together to enjoy the same rights as other married couples. Tax breaks, and hospital visitation to name just a few.

This will also reduce the claim that Gays are promiscuous as they will be bonded together just like other couples and not running around as they are accused of doing.

As a Christian, I cannot support gay marriage either, but I do NOT think the federal governement should have a right to tell people what to do.

The GOP thinks that all Christians have a duty to support them, but I would rather be more like Jesus. Tolerance, understanding and forgiveness are the best traits to have in a true Christian life. Giving people choices does not mean that you approve of their actions.

Sure is a uniter. Can hardly wait for the Republican primaries in 2011-12-wonder how long she'll be a viable candidate? New Hampshire? Iowa?

Didn't she tell Katie Couric she opposed Roe v Wade because these issues should be handled at the state level?

Let's just save us all a lot of trouble. Scrap the constitution and replace it with the HOLY BIBLE. That's what these nuts are really all about...

What the heck does she mean by the following tale end of her statement
......traditional marriage that, that instrument that it's the foundation of our society is that strong family and that's based on that traditional definition of marriage, so I do support that.”

She is a JOKE

How about a constitutional amendment preventing overly religious people from dictating what other people can and cannot do with their personal lives and bodies?

Worry about your own marriage, Caribou Barbie.

Woohoo! Keep it up, sister! You just go ahead and be absolutely sure to completely define yourself as an extreme right-wing-nut parrot sitting up on her perch at the intersection of Jesus and Karl Rove. That's exactly what the American people want.

Good luck, Republicans. just kidding. vote obama.
