Watch: In the latest MoveOn.org ad a talking moose takes aim at the McCain-Palin ticket.

(CNN)– A talking moose is the latest star of an anti-McCain-Palin ad put out by MoveOn.org Monday, taking aim at the Alaska governor’s experience and record.

“You really gotta question John McCain’s judgment pickin’ Sarah Palin as his VP,” the moose, which is mounted on a wall says.

Watch: A talking moose stars in a new ad

“We know her up here. She doesn't have any national security experience,” the moose says. “She can't even explain Bush's war policy. But she supports his war. And now she's an expert because she can see Russia?”

The 30-second spot, “Moose,” will literally follow Gov. Palin across the country as she campaigns for these final weeks.

According to MoveOn.org, the ad will air in towns and cities one day in advance of Palin’s scheduled appearances in those areas, beginning Monday in Las Vegas ahead of her Tuesday campaign stop.

The Dems are obsessed with Palin!

I love seeing the Dems go crazy over this!

Facts are facts, Obama has the most liberal voting record, his proposals will raise taxes and spread the wealth. How can he give a tax break to 95% of US households when 40% already don't pay taxes? That does not make sense!

Obama is not ready to be president of the US; the US needs a capable, experienced, reform minded individual to lead it. We need John McCain!

McCain/Palin '08!!

loving the surrealism!

Charlie Bradley   October 20th, 2008 4:53 pm ET

David "Stick to the policies remember"

The ad did stick to the policies by showing that Sarah Palin doesn't know anything about these policies which she speaks of. This woman is a whack job and this ad uses her own interests to point that out :)

Last I checked Obama is running for president not VP. She's almost as qualified as he is! Again, and repeat after me; Obama is running for president.

milo   October 20th, 2008 4:50 pm ET

Not only is Palin's oil handout to Alaskans "socialist" by her definition, what about McCain's proposed mortgage bailout.

McCain wants to take MY tax money and use it to bail out the guy next door who hasn't been paying his mortgage AND his bank, who didn't screen who they were giving a loan to. To the tune of 300 billion dollars.

You're going to tell me that isn't "spreading the wealth" or "socialism"?

Sweetie   October 20th, 2008 4:49 pm ET

The Moose reminds me of Obama!

It really makes me laugh to see folks miss quoting Sarah-it was Tina who said what the moose is saying in this Ad!

Also, she has more direct experience to be Commander in Chief then Obama!

Laugh all you want, come Nov. 5 all you zombies won't know what to do!

If anyone thinks that Sarah Palin is ready to step in as President if something should happen to McCain, they might as well be talking to a moose.

MARISSA   October 20th, 2008 4:42 pm ET

FUNNY AD BUT IT GETS ITS POINT ACROSS. PALIN IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT . Everytime Palin opens her mouth I am amazed that McCain ever thought this woman should be one heartbeat from the presidency

Frankly I rather vote for Bullwinkle the Moose rather than Palin

PS . My husband has a picture above his dresser of the majestic Moose. We adore Moose in our condo

David Newport, OR   October 20th, 2008 4:42 pm ET

reading through the comments in this thread...I wonder how many were made by the same 2 or 3 McCain supporters. There are several that have very similar ending statements. Go Team!!! Ha ha ha

Lesley   October 20th, 2008 4:41 pm ET

It seems to me that Palin is evolving. After two months, she is speaking her mind without regard to McCain's campaign strategists and appears to be on her own road to destiny. I don't think she gives a hoot about McCain becoming president but rather is positioning herself for greatness at a future date.

Zeppo – Let me guess, you're yet another uninformed right-winger who is convinced that Obama must be a Muslim because you believe every smear tactic the Republican party throws to the public? Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, which is part of the United States in case you didn't know. His father is African, not Muslim, and his mother is white. And as an American citizen you should also know that if Obama were born in another country, he wouldn't be qualified to run for president in the first place.

The only vote she should receive is for the worst mother of the year award.
Go back to Alaska beauty queen. I think your contituents have seen your ugly side and you won't be as popular as you once were.

And Socialism now may be seen in a different light for what it is~ call it what you may: libraries, medicare, SSI , SS, hospitals, welfar, food stamps, paying for wars BY THE WAY, Alaska oil revenues spread out among the people, federal paychecks, fire fighters....
God, we are a stupid people.

I thought this ad was hilarious. If the republican ads could attack Obama and not involve so much hatred and evil in them, I'll be a lot more people would vote for McCain.

This commercial was silly.. but it states its point, and in the end makes you smile. Good job MoveOn

Doug, Pittsburgh, PA   October 20th, 2008 4:31 pm ET

The best and most effective attack ads also make you laugh. This one was spot on. Also notice it was not as nasty as it could have been. Palin's attack's against Obama have come off as shrill; this counterattack by moveon comes off as funny. I'm so disgusted with both sides, however, I may place a write in vote for the moose.

I agree with Bruce, the Alskan oil tax that goes back to the people of the state more closely resembles socialism that the Obama tax plan. Socialism is the social and economic theory that all wealth, property, etc is truly the property of society, with no individual qwnership at all. So in Alaska, the oil wealth is taxed and given back to the people. Sounds good to Alaskans, but hey, isn't Alaska part of the US? lol, if so, then I'D like some of that oil tax money too!!!

TheTruthHurts   October 20th, 2008 4:28 pm ET

It's probably in poor taste, but I would take the SNL skit with the moose getting shot - pop, pop, pop and then show Palin raising hands - "all the mavericks in da house put ya hanz up!" It's hilarious. However, anyone persuaded by such an ad is already voting democratic anyone.

They need an ad with her citing her proximity to Russia as experience or McCain saying he met her twice before asking her or the text from the abuse of power report.

This whole thing would be a joke if our future's didn't hang in the balanc.e.

McCain wants to "transfer our wealth"

Sue in MI   October 20th, 2008 4:26 pm ET

Even McCain admitted that one of the best Presidents was a long-sitting governor of Arkansas with little foreign policy experience (Clinton.) He also couldn't being himself to actually SAY Palin is qualified for President, because she (and cohort Todd) is not. The thought of them having access to secret documents and the nuclear code before she can even pronounce the word is what's driving Dems to the polls.
And "redistribution?" What do you think McCain's tax cuts are-give to the wealthy who will invest it in themselves and their offshore accounts, leaving nothing to trickle down to the rest of us.Plus he'll tax your health benefits to drive you into his system of $5000/FAMILY-not a person, as he says. Try to buy adequate care with that. Can anyone honestly say the last eight years' economic policies have been anything but a disaster? And you think Obama will leave us in debt? News flash-McCain/Palin are all set to attack Iran at first provocation-there go your tax cuts unless you think he'll borrow even MORE from China to pay for them. And then what debts are we leaving our children? He had the gall to say he could balance the budget in his first term...when every economist on the planet says no way. Get smart people. Stop thinking with your Republican hats on.This pro-American white woman is voting for Obama/Biden to keep us safe and to bring the country back from fascism.

Laszlo in L.A.   October 20th, 2008 4:26 pm ET

Abby: I think your comments were funnier than the ad itself.

This race is over. CNN and the news networks have a vested interest in keeping it close because it’s Must See TV.

100,000 people came out in St. Louis on Sunday to hear Obama speak. I doubt that 46,000 of them were there because they thought it was a McCain/Palin event.

The vast majority of voters are sick and tired of where we’ve been the last 8 years. It has little to do with Obama and even less to do with John McCain. David Gergen could be elected president as long as he was running opposite the Republicans and had Jessi Klein’s endorsement. People are fed up and the party sitting in the White House always picks up the check. Just ask Jimmy Carter.

For all those uneducated, un-informed people that blog about Obama's birth certificate. Give me a break. Are you all so dumb that you don't think our government has already vetted this about all the candidates. After all, it's a law that you have to be born in the U.S. to become President. If this were truly an issue, McCain's campaign would certainly be pressing this issue. Obama's web site has his birth certificate on it. Look it up instead of reading the stupid websites that spout hate and lies.

Take a look at how many people, public figures and commoners, are voting for a Democrat for the first time in their life, how can one question Colin Powell's decision as being race-based?

The problems that Palin brings are much more beyond the women issues. McCain is trying to make a point that she is different from the leftist feminists. But, Palin doesn't know how to think on her own feet in a reasonable way regarding national and international issues; this is much more than the feminist issues. She has violated ethical codes, has not been transparent to the American people, and has not answered any critical questions in a thoughtful way. She only knows how to smear, sneer and smack. More people should be VERY VERY concerned.

The moose should be talking about MR.& MRS. PALIN involvement in a terrorist group known as the Alaskan Independence Party. This is group who wants to leave the UNION, whose leader,VOLGER, was killed attempting to buy plastic explosions. MR.PALIN is a member, MRS.PALIN gave the keynote address to their convention in 2000 and taped a welcome address for them in 2006. The media should be asking questions about this!

Matt   October 20th, 2008 4:22 pm ET

Danielson, Pittsburgh PA   October 20th, 2008 4:22 pm ET

You do realize this goofy moose has raised more questions than anyone in the mainstream media about the half-baked Alaskan VP candidate.

No Meet the Press. No Face the Nation. No This Week. And NO national interviews without John Grandpa McCain at her side to defend her.

She's not answered a single substantive question in over a month...on foreign policy, on her abuse of power reprimand in Alaska, on the Joe the Plumber lies, on her husband's membership in a secessionist party, on her abuse of earmarks for now debt-ridden Wasilla, on her witch-doctor priest or controversial statements actually FROM a pulpit, or on her general credibility to take office WITHOUT a script from a stumpspeechwriter or SNL writer.

Really. We haven't seen her in a month from anyone not considered ultra-right wing (hannity, ingrham, limbaugh)...so if she's not going to speak at all before the election...

I say let the moose do the talking. Because the moose obviously has more guts than our traditional media does.

Igor   October 20th, 2008 4:21 pm ET

Actually the moose is right – Palin did say you can see Russia from an island in Alaska. Also, according to McCain she knows more about energy than anyone in this country, including – get this – the Energy Secretary.
These are things that actually happened in real life, and were documented, as opposed to stretch-the-truth comments like "denies care to infants" and "pals around with terrorists."

Great Idea–a moose smarter than Palin. I love it. Republicans wake up and smell the coffee. McCain/Palin is more of the same–Bush, Bush, Bush.

just a gentle reminder   October 20th, 2008 4:11 pm ET

Can you imagine a President Palin addressing the country and trying to talk about the economic crisis?

very scary.

This woman is not capable of running a country. Our wallets would disappear, and the country would fall into a third world country status.

Joe from Mahwah, NJ   October 20th, 2008 4:11 pm ET

I agree. Even though this could be referred to as a negative ad, it has a good tinge of humor to it. The same cant be said for those robocalls, using a voice akin to the emergency broadcast network. That was just disgusting.

John from SC   October 20th, 2008 4:11 pm ET

This is just too funny. True, and sad that it is true, but too dang funny.

al in memphis   October 20th, 2008 4:11 pm ET

Two things every CLEAN campaign needs - facts and humor. This ad got both.
THis is why some voters feel more comfortable with Obama, it isn't throwing out negative labels, like terriorist, socialist, racist, etc.–rather just criticize your opponents shortcomings.

ohio   October 20th, 2008 4:11 pm ET

Poor Moose was this killed by Palin too???

tulsa   October 20th, 2008 4:10 pm ET

lol... Republicans can't take a joke.
Hmmm, so I wonder why they like Palin so much?
Seriously, I know one die-hard Republican, otherwise a great guy, but he's so blinded by ideology that it took him 2 weeks to realize that the Colbert Report was satire!

Cathy Agu   October 20th, 2008 4:10 pm ET

As a republican I am now voting Barack O Biden.

Bruce   October 20th, 2008 4:09 pm ET

When I read how Republicans try to support Palin it reminds me that there are still 25 % that think Bush is doiing a FINE JOB.

Cathy Agu   October 20th, 2008 4:09 pm ET

As a republican I am now voting Barack O Biden.

Excellent Ad from a Marketing stand point – may have the same effectiveness as the 3 AM red telephone ringing....

Fade away, McPain.

Kish from Britain   October 20th, 2008 4:07 pm ET

Nice and hiliarious...............I love it especially the part that says it would literally follow her for the rest of the campaign weeks.........lol

Praetorian   October 20th, 2008 4:07 pm ET

I'm with Bullwinkle!!!
When a political candidate sites–killing a moose as support regarding her preparedness for the 2nd highest post in our nation–it's time to "just say no".

Glenn in California   October 20th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Hilarious. I love the fact that the ad will be following her around. That's too much.

On the SNL Weekend Update, I thought the funniest part was when Amy Poehler shot the moose. How approriate.

Obama for president   October 20th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

McCain proves bad judgment by chosing Palin!!

deb in Colo   October 20th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Too TOO funny!

Who Is Obama?   October 20th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Barack Obama can see the Rezkos from his house.

OHIO FOR OBAMA   October 20th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Love it. And all you republican losers out there, even a moose knows more than the pitbull in lipstick.

OBAMA/BIDEN 08.

Dave   October 20th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

pretty dumb

Obama for president   October 20th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

Palin cannot even speak coherently about any subject– SHE IS UNQUALIFIED TO BECOME VP...

She sounds completely incomprehensible when she speaks.. it's embarasing to us females!

Jude   October 20th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

Hehehe...hit them hard...heheheh....nice ad...at least a Moose doesn't lie!!!

Walt   October 20th, 2008 4:04 pm ET

A little to childish for my taste, would have mde more sense if just any alaskan would have said it. I think more focus should be spent on her abuse of power.

A talking moose sounds like something otu of the McCain campaign. Last thing we need to do is to act like them...

Obama08!

Dawn   October 20th, 2008 4:04 pm ET

ha ha ha ha!

Obama/Biden 08/12

That Other Jerry   October 20th, 2008 4:04 pm ET

Got to hand it to the Democrats–between Colin Powell's endorsement and MoveOn.org's talking moose, they're simultaneously courting both the thoughtful, intelligent vote and the blithering idiot vote. Is this what is meant by being the party of tolerance and inclusion? MoveOn, it's time to just move on.

Kathy   October 20th, 2008 4:03 pm ET

And you stupid Dems call the Republicans "full of Hate!!! I am sick of all the cruel things said by some of you. I pray that McCain/ wins. Our country will certainly be in a mess with all the terrorist crowds.

Kevin,FL   October 20th, 2008 4:03 pm ET

ANAG LOS ANGELES, CA   October 20th, 2008 4:03 pm ET

Wow... the moose is a better speaker than Obama... maybe he can hire the moose to be in his cabinet... if their's room after Ayers, Rezko some key ACORN folks, and Wright...

I Love The Talking Moose Head   October 20th, 2008 4:02 pm ET

lol poor poor moose

Lee   October 20th, 2008 4:02 pm ET

And what foreign policy experience does Obama have?

Shari, NY   October 20th, 2008 4:02 pm ET

Now, now Charlie, you know that Dick Cheney nearly wiped his friend off the face of the earth during his hunt!

sine   October 20th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

Anyone who can defend Palin's "experience" is "un-american" .

If her "experience" argument is she ran a state we can say the same for bush. The point is she is just plain uniformed and unintelligent. she couldn't point out russia on a blank map but she can "see" it from her house.

She just doesn't have the capacity for this job, point, blank, period!!!!!

Sally from Cali   October 20th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

Now move on should do a funny one about Alaska seceding from the United States and the Palins as Alaska's king and queen. She's worn a crown for Alaska before.

Kate Fergus   October 20th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

Even the moose is smart enough to know that Palin doesn't have what it takes to be VP – never mind President.

ND Mom   October 20th, 2008 4:00 pm ET

The moose on SNL was more popular then Palin!

nelson   October 20th, 2008 4:00 pm ET

Just goes to show ya,, even the moose is smarter than mccain/palin
ticket.. as a side note, the mccain family owned a few slaves back in the day per CNN a little while ago. I wonder if mccain will acknowledge
that fact or just "re-direct"? It was kind of an interesting news bit so if
you get a chance to see it take a look, but just remember it is
"not" connected to his campaign rotflmao "MOOSE FOREVER"
that's palin's motto

Deb   October 20th, 2008 4:00 pm ET

Maybe they can buy air time on FOX cable channels. Maybe it can run during Sean "little ball of hate" Hannity's show or during one of his "Obama and Radicalism Episodes 1, 2 & 3". Both he and Rush are so pathetic and full of hate along with their sidekick Dick Morris. What evil people there are in this world.

Zeppo   October 20th, 2008 3:59 pm ET

Obama should stop playing moose games and hand over his real birth certificate already.

Shari, NY   October 20th, 2008 3:59 pm ET

Vote: The moose might look like Oprah but if looks could bring me fame and fortune – bring it on!

bill   October 20th, 2008 3:59 pm ET

And who will get blamed for this ad?....lol~

Leah DiMarco, Texas   October 20th, 2008 3:58 pm ET

Great ad!
Be sure to vote and send Palin back to Alaska!

Vote Obama/Biden '08

Lee   October 20th, 2008 3:58 pm ET

And what foreign policy experience does Obama have? And why is the moose quoting something Tina Fey said as something Palin said?

The truth is Palin actually has more experience than a junior Senator not even finished with his first term.

ANDY DAAS   October 20th, 2008 3:58 pm ET

Palin the Moose you Moron.

NoBama, Not Now Not Ever   October 20th, 2008 3:58 pm ET

Well here's a suprise another weak ad by moveon.org. Nice try didn't they try this with Bush and it didn't work. Even far left liberals think moveon.org is a joke. However I am getting really tired of people saying that if I don't vote for Obama that I'm a racist. Just like when people from my side say any comment about Palin is sexist. Let's knock it off and get to the point. The point is Obama will spend us into even higher debt, and will have to tax more then the 5% of Americans he's already punishing for making it in this country. Nice way of telling our children, "You don't need to become successful, the successful people will pay for everything for you." Thanks

Former Hillary supporter   October 20th, 2008 3:57 pm ET

I love it ! Thank you moveon.org !!

OBAMA 4 President   October 20th, 2008 3:57 pm ET

Good, but I wish they'd come out with something more hardcore like linking Palin through her husband to the secessionist group, how can you be a VP candidate for the US when you are a sympathizer with secessionists who want Alaska to be an independent country freom the US. Why don't they go and run for President of Alaska? Also attack them back on all their lies, Palin saying that Barack was palling around with terrorist, how does Ayers become terrorists? Also get them on Palins ethichs violation in Alaska for abuse of power. etc.

ANGIE   October 20th, 2008 3:57 pm ET

LOVE IT!! THATS FUNNY!

TrueAmerican   October 20th, 2008 3:57 pm ET

There ya go – this is truly the person I am planning NOT to vote for GOP (FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE) 'cause I am really worried about Mccain's health.....

what on earth was this man thinking (beyond the political scores etc etc) when he made the pick ???? He has alienated a LOT of strong conservatives ...... this is true damage to GOP

Glenn; Bakersville, NC.   October 20th, 2008 3:57 pm ET

THey should do one with a pack of wolves and cut to the occasional helicopter hunt. That would be pretty cool too!

Vegas Barbie for Obama   October 20th, 2008 3:57 pm ET

A silly genre to use, but effectively timed, given that she just came off her SNL stint. This should serve to further her comedic career after her appearance on Saturday night. Let's just keep laughing at her all the way to the polls as we vote for the next POTUS of the USA: BARACK OBAMA-YES WE CAN!!!

Cynthia; Bham   October 20th, 2008 3:55 pm ET

Great commerial and true – and definitiely not nasty like the McCain robocalls.

rok   October 20th, 2008 3:55 pm ET

Excellent.

Charlie Bradley   October 20th, 2008 3:55 pm ET

HaHaHa!!!!!! thats hillarious :) Maybe after this is all over VP Dick Cheney will take the Mrs. Palin hunting with him :)

Chuck   October 20th, 2008 3:55 pm ET

They should have shown a dead wolf laying on the ground talking also. I hope Moveon.org gets as dirty as the McCain camp itself has in the last few months. Obama doesn't need to get dirty. He actually has a plan and a message that is truthful and thought out.

Barbara - 65 yr old white female in NC   October 20th, 2008 3:55 pm ET

She shoots wolves from a helicopter. That's fair, isn't it? Oh great white hunter. Put her on the ground with them. She's in bed with the republicans, she can handle the wolves.

Vote early – I did. Obama/Biden

Ernestine   October 20th, 2008 3:55 pm ET

THIS IS FUNNY! I HOPE PEOPLE WILL GET THE MESSAGE ABOUT THIS WOMAN.

FL Rep for Obama   October 20th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!! Wake up people...this trigger happy Caribou Barbie could be our Commander in Chief! Think about the children of America who need hope...better schools...a better life. And vote for the candidate of REAL change...OBAMA/BIDEN

Crazy the race is still close   October 20th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

This is funny! Moveon, definitely has a sense of humor! :)

Bruce   October 20th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

When Palin calls Obama a socialiest because of his tax plan she seems to forget about her TAX on the oil companies that she HANDS OUT to Alaskans. But you were not suposed to remember that after all that was yeasterday and Republican can't remember things that long.

Maggie from Virginia   October 20th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

Hilarious!! I love it!

Alison B   October 20th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

Way to go it is time people open their eyes to McCain's judgement. Even Colin Powel stated on national TV that she is not qualified for the job as vice-president.

And all these things that McCain and Palin don't agree upon it an indication as to how the show would run if they got into the white house.

vote   October 20th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

looks like oprah lol

Abby   October 20th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

.LOL...Poor moose. Sorry you had to be a burger. We will avenge you yet.

tulsa   October 20th, 2008 3:51 pm ET

lol... in the best tradition of political adds. Humor.
Although, it's probably not funny to Republicans. (not much is it seems)

George   October 20th, 2008 3:50 pm ET

Well the Moose reminds me of Barack Obama

INAUDIBLE BUMBLING

Sounds like Obama trying to defend his crap he's spreading on the campaign trail.

Obama-The Moose–just more crap!
