CNN Poll of Polls: Obama leads by nine points

The two presidential rivals shook hands after their last debate as their wives looked on.

(CNN) - Sen. Barack Obama has his largest lead so far over rival Sen. John McCain, according to CNN’s latest national poll of polls.

Obama leads McCain by nine points in the poll of polls released Tuesday – 51 percent to 42 percent. Seven percent of those surveyed are unsure about their choice for president.

In Monday’s CNN’s poll of polls, Obama’s lead over McCain was seven points – 51 percent to 44 percent.

“Today’s Poll of Polls average reflects the fact that Obama has moved into a commanding position in the presidential race,” said CNN Senior Political Researcher Alan Silverleib. “Obama is either tied or ahead in all of the battleground states. The Democrats now have what may be a decisive edge in terms of voter enthusiasm and financial resources. The financial meltdown has played to Obama’s advantage. By most measurements, McCain was not able to use the debates to gain ground on Obama. And most of the campaign is now being waged in previously red states. While anything can happen in the remaining two weeks, it’s hard not to conclude that McCain’s back is against the wall.”

Tuesday’s CNN poll of polls is composed of the following six national general election surveys of likely voters: Pew (October 16-19), CNN/ORC (October 17-19), ABC/Washington Post (October 16-19), Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby (October 18-20), Gallup (October 18-20) and Diageo/Hotline (October 18-20). The poll of polls does not have a sampling error.

CNN is really crazy NOW, they are biased against McCain and wish OB win.

Just want to clarify one thing, When Collin Powell said Sarah is not ready for VP, how can we trust his saying :OB is ready for President???:-It is really riduculous for a polotician to make this comment.

OB's followers remind us the people in China 40 years ago (cultureal revolution) and the people in North Korea NOW.

People don't want to "say" they're voting for McCain... but they'll do it in the privacy of their voting booth.

Americans have a hidden fear of Obama and the media have made them afraid to talk about it if they are white.

Republicans + Senator Clinton supporters + Independents/Democrats who fear what Obama stands for = Victory on November 4th

Considering All McCaine and Palin have left to talk about is "He's a Terrorist, He's a Socialist, He's a Risk, He's this, He's that" Enough already. From beginning till their hopeful end on election day, they have Not talk issues or offered an Intelligent plan or leadership. They've been following/chasing Obama from Start. America and the World are hopeful, that's why people are voting for Obama, because in such dark times, Hope is all we have left!

    Can you say President Obama.

The people are speaking, both with their pocketbook and they votes. The million dollar question is, will republicans respect the majority rule or are they going to whine for the next 8 years?

McCain/Palin don't offer any true solutions just attacks or attacks on solutions that Sen. Obama has given. The country is starting to really get the true picture of what going on and thus Sen. Obama's lead continues to increase. I would like to see a strong message given to McCain/Palin in the form of a huge Obama /Biden Victory to show how much we(THE USA) disapprove of the type of Campaign McCain/Palin has run.

Though I am for Obama, these polls are so full of it! As far as I see...here in Colorado Obama has got this state Blue! This race is not and has never been close. Go ahead and gobble these polls up to gain the media ratings.
