John McCain = American Socialist.
Lets be honest, $1 trillion to nationalize our banks of mortgages. Where have I head that before? Who nationalized all the banks and mortgages?
Answer: Cuba and Iran.
Must been all that time with his commie budies in Vietnam.
McCain, the Real Manchurian candidate.

Joe Kiloz,

You and 100% of the non-campaign staff attendees of a Republican Rally do not make $250k so what are you worried about. Let the people who do decide for themselves...

WASN'T JOHN McCAIN CHUMMING AROUND WITH KEATING FIVE, TAKING MONEY FROM LINCOLN SAVINGS AND LOANS TO INFLUENCE, ….errrrrr …. i mean speak to REGULATORS, WHEN THOSE REGULATORS WERE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC INTEREST … oh …errrr. THEN CONGRESSMAN McCAIN WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ACTING IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST RATHER THAN FOR KEATING AND HIS PARTNERS IN CRIME!
------------------------------------------------
Again more Obama lies. How about you research this issue...yes I know you will have to do some thinking for yourself rather then let Obama think for you. McCain was cleared of any wrong doing by the DEMS themselves. In fact they reported the only reason he was even put into the same group was because the DEMS were scared to have only other dems facing trouble...it was a ploy to try and get a repub into trouble and it failed.

factcheck.org it's your friend against the Obama brainwashing.

Canada had a federal election last week ... the Liberal Party had their poorest performance in the polls since 1867 and they have finally realized that they need to go back to the drawing board and re-define themselves.

It definitely appears that the Republican Party is in the same boat. John McCain and the old GOP guard is going to have to step aside to let a renewal happen. If they don't, the Republicans are going to become even more of an American joke ... just as the Liberals are a walking mockery in Canada.

To Mccain: Bush's tax cuts don't work. He's been in office for 8 years and small businesses have suffered across the country. If you are a small business owner ask yourself are you better off now than you were 8 years ago?

The media coverage for this campaign is the most unprofessional group in the history of the US. All of you so called journalist should be ashamed of yourself. You don't report the news, you push an agenda. And once the we elect a new president, how are you going "report" his failures. I can't wait to see.

The title seems to say that the only chance Obama has against McCain is a bad economy and with the spread the wealth around answer from Obama socialist ideology the race is getting tighter. Obama has lost all double digit leads he had and is slipping in Florida and Ohio and the race has become a dead heat nationally. Biden who forgot that there were journalists in a seattle fund raising event has put the notion that Obama's inexperience will bring about a major crisis, It makes you wonder who is getting bad news, Obama or McCain?

"Our Health Care should NOT be Taxed" get the facts, McCain is going to give you a tax credit to cover this. For most americans under McCain you will see a tax decrease.

How about you goto factcheck.org and read the facts rather then listen to Obama's lies. Knowing the trust will set you free from Obama's grasp.

Obama has his stuff together and it ain't Sarah Palin or John McCain he is talking about how to fix this mess we are in and how to look forward to the future.

There were many people on that panel including our very own Mr. Google. Now suck that up.

Americans are responsible for our current situation. Americans entered into loans that they knew they couldn't pay. American bankers and lenders began this fiasco with the bubble. Americans continue to incur debt without a flicker of guilt. Americans supported the bailout. People, it's our country, we vote. Pull your head out for a second and understand this will be a painful process. Either McCain or Obama, two people I am very proud to call fellow Americans, will address the matter; however, as a country, we will not achieve what we once were until we stop bickering over inane issues the talking heads are feeding you and unite, as a country.

The scary thing, thomas, is that somewhere between 41-44% of Americans still think that's okay. The Karl Rove playbook may not be as relevant as it once was given the economic conditions today, but they're still managing to scare the timid and ignorant into voting for another dose of the same bad medicine.

how come Joe's boss never created any new jobs by hiring any new employees? Bush gave his rich boss who makes, according to Joe, $250,000-$280,000 a year. Yet he does not have any new hires. Joe makes $40,000 a year and his boss makes six times as much is this fair?

Joe--Please for the LOVE of GOD...get your facts straight!! Obama is talking about a 3%increase on people who make over 250,000 NET income!! That means its after you pay all your bills and meet all of your obligations...that is the amount you are going to have to pay on.

Think of it this way...for every $100 OVER 250,000 you are going to have to pay an additional $3. If I had to guess...you spend more than that $3 on a cup of coffee each morning!!

Quit whining and take a look at the bigger picture--please for the sake of our country and our future!!

Joe–Please for the LOVE of GOD...get your facts straight!! Obama is talking about a 3%increase on people who make over 250,000 NET income!! That means its after you pay all your bills and meet all of your obligations...that is the amount you are going to have to pay on.

mccain actually seems like he could deliver what he proposes... all obama does is smirk at debates like a know-it-all teenager. not to mention just because the media makes obama look appealing and mccain look bad it doesn't mean that is so. i wish people would think for themselves.

a large part of my vote alone is that mccain wants to build 26 nuclear power plants. how else are we supposed to have energy to fuel this new wave of hybrid and plug in cars that they both want? or maybe we could go with obama's "i think we should LOOK INTO drilling offshore."

hows that for creating jobs?

maybe if every time they opened their mouths disgusting lies and twisted rumors didn't ooze out it wouldn't be this way. maybe if mccain and his nauseating running mate would focus more on our nations mounting problems instead of their sarcastic barrage of bologna he might have a chance at the white house.

this is not the result of left wing liberal media. or the greater number of american public wanting socialism or more taxes. This is the result of mismanagement of goverment over the last eight years and the republican nominee digging himself into a petty hole with lies and smears.

If the republicans are in office for four more years you better get used to Bologna because you wont be able to afford much else and you will be standing in ration lines not too long after learning how to say Thank You in Chinese.

Joe Kiloz, you are terribly misinformed. If your comment is a reflection of a typical McCain supporter's basic understanding of Obama's agenda, then it is incredibly inaccurate. Let me clarify a few points for you:

Firstly, aspiring to make $250K (or anything else for that matter) doesn't mean that you will be taxed accordingly. Actually making $250K does mean that you will have a tax burden in proportion to your earnings just like the rest of America. That doesn't mean the you aren't feeling the pinch of the economic crisis like the rest of us, but it does mean that you're probably not having as hard a time as the guy that makes $25K, who really needs a tax credit just for basic survival these days.

Secondly, no one's wealth is being "taken away" in order to be given to someone else. That's just a lie, or, excuse me -- that's just the usual inaccurate Republican spin to scare people and create a very divisive spirit among the "haves" and the "have nots" in this country.

Lastly, this is the United States of America. No one is ever jailed for just complaining about anything. I don't know where you got that one from...

"Socialism" helped to get us out of the Great Depression. "Socialism" keeps us driving on a good network of roads without paying "market toll value". "Socialism" is what keeps energy investment in what's good for the country, not for other people's profits. Etc.

No matter what you want to believe, we already live in a mixed economy, and it's a good thing, because if left alone, the free market will only benefit the wealthy at the expense of the greater society. The day "socialism" became a bad word was a disaster for the US.

It is a "bad word" because people do not understand it, that we already have it, and that is has been beneficial. And maybe if we let it have a chance in places like Latin America instead of killing it, instead of succumbing to irrational fear, we'd see good examples.

This whole “socialist” argument makes me laugh to no end. Anyone who calls Obama a socialist for taking tax dollars and then distributing them is a complete fool or has no idea what a tax is. Where do you think the taxes you pay now go? That’s what taxes are for!!!!!! The government collects taxes to pay for the services you take for granted. They also go to welfare, to help the poor and the needy. Believe it or not but there are some people out there who don’t have jobs, homes or any means of making money, and like the dirty “socialists” we are we give up some of our tax dollars to help them. This is just another lame argument directed at the ignorant to distract from the fact that McCain has nothing new to tell us on the economy that we haven’t seen in the last 8 years. No one cares about Ayres, no one cares about Obama’s pastor, and to imply that he is un-American and pals around with terrorists is bad politics and it isn’t working. Just the fact that his campaign doesn’t realize this shows how out of touch his party is with the majority of America.

Someone posted this great point to consider: "Country first" on the podium. Which country, Palin? The Republic of Alaska?

McCain is not "my friend."
And with what he & S.Palin preach, Senator Obama needs to be secured in a "Pope-Mobile." Let us not forget what happened to A. Lincoln & JFK. I fear for Obama's life in this campaign of twisted facts.
McCain's demeanor overall is "not presidential. There is something sort of neurotic about his presentation/appearance and the sneaky tone of his voice that is creepy. It's possible that he resents Obama's vitality, youth, and REFINEMENT. Also McCain's deterioration and age is very conspicuous - he totters around like rigormortus is setting in. He might have a stroke any moment, and that is scary - and he has not chosen a capable VP to take his place.

Strange. In the past, a voter could decipher a clear message from both sides in a typical election. Raise/Lower taxes, Increase/decrease spending, whatever. This time, the Republicans have not articulated a clear and consise strategy for the future of the country (Confession: haven't been to McCain's website to check for this). The Obama has been very clear (or as clear as they can be in two-minute soundbites) on exactly what they plan to do. And they don't pretend it will make everybody happy. But the Democrats are willing to rest on the merits of their ideas. The Republicans are lost. I haven't heard Policy Discussion #1 in over a week.

There's a promise the Republicans have kept: they will no longer talk policy. They will smear Obama/Biden for the next 13 1/3 days...then it is back to Arizona and Alaska with them.

Stay on message, guys. Don't fall for it!

McCain's poll numbers are actually increasing and most people don't realize the Democrats are to blame for the current financial crisis.
This is funny as Obama doesn't have a clue about the economy either. Do people think the economy and Wall Street are going to get better when investors are looking at higher capital gains taxes if Obama is President. My guess in 5 months with an Obama Presidency we will be falling into deeper into a recession than we are now and we will see layoffs in record numbers.

I would like to know if the McCain/Palin ticket know that Palin has increased racial tension in some parts of the country? If so, why is this being allowed. I hear and see a lot of republicians agree with the way they're running their campaign. I think Palin is showing racism and is playing a dangerous game and really don't care. God forbid if people start getting hanged, bombed, or slain just because someone agrees with Obama/Bidden campaign and if that ticket wins, I fear that someone or a group of people would try to kill Obama. If that happens, I really think that War World III will break lose here in the United States and will take years for America to heal. Let's not forget our history.

We have seen the worst of times here in Ohio. Personally, I have lost a business that was very successful throughout the 90's. We started the business when the tide was rolling for Clinton, and when there was nothing but prosperity and more jobs than the state could fill.

Now, there are never any "we're hiring" signs anywhere! (And no jobs,
either, of course.) The repubs have taken this state and turned it around all right--they have turned it into a wasteland of foreclosures
and broken dreams.

How dare McSame say that the Dems won't help the small businesses!! He want sto tax anyone who offers health care to
their employees! Also, he is not saying exactly how he is going to benefit the small business owners!!

Most small business owners don't make over $250,000 a years, so they WILL GET A TAX CUT under Obama!

The repubs are trying their famous (or "infamous") turn it around lying schemes to try to take Ohio again.

And now they are accursin the Dems (through Acorn) of trying to affect voter fraud!! NOT SO -- ACORN MERELY HANDLES VOTOR REGISTRATIONS!! The only problem has been with Acorn employees who have unfortunately put down some untrue names to fill their quota so they can make a paycheck.

Probably, they are desperate like so many others in this state who cannot pay their bills! I agree that this is not right, and they should be reprimanded.

However, the many crimes the repubs have committed against the comman people of the U.S. by falsifying a reason to go to war, and then profiting from the vast amount of money made in Iraq!! No wonder they want so badly for McSame to win and keep the war going!!

Please, vote of the honest party!! Vote for the part that will bring back jobs, and help to get the financials woes of the country back on track, like they did in the 90's when Clinton left office and this country had a SURPLUS, not a HUGE DEFICIT!!

Vote for Obama/Biden!!

Joe Kiloz is at it again with comments that have little basis in reality. If you make $300,000, file a joint return, and have taxable income of $250,000, then you would pay an extra 3% on the amount of taxable income over $195,000, which is $1,650, or an extra 1/2% of your total income. Hardly, being "taxed to death".

McCain, Palin, Rush, O'Reilly, and the like have stirred up all the lunitics into a frenzy with bogus and overstated claims about the man who is very likely to be our next President. They are doing the country a great disservice - but I am not surprised at all about that.

THE.....CHOICE......IS.......CLEAR........???

OBVIOUSLY, YOU DON'T MAKE 250K A YEAR, BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT...

(It was obvious due to your completely false, fear mongering comment)

Your TAXABLE income is what you pay TAXES on after DEDUCTING EXPENSES.

This year my business will gross almost 500K, but my TAXABLE income will still be less than 250K.

AND if I'm fortunate enough to gross enough next year to have a TAXABLE income of OVER 250K , SO WHAT? I'LL PAY MY SHARE OF TAXES.

WHAT PART OF 95% OF AMERICANS WILL SEE A TAX BREAK, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?

UNDER MCCAIN'S PLAN I WON'T GET A TAX BREAK. I DON'T HAVE ANY KIDS SO DOUBLING THE PER CHILD CREDIT WON'T WORK FOR ME. (OR SENIORS)

The Democrats have always been great for the stock market, several academic studies show. The Republicans, on the other hand, have always hurt the market. Therefore, if we elect a Democrat we can be sure the stock market will bounce back and that will hopefully help the real economy.

DEREGULATION .... it's a wonderful thing! OH YEAH ... McCain flopped on that issues ,,, . or as us Catholics would say, he had a conversion on the road to Emmaus.

McCain and Palin are a disgrace to Christians and Pro-Lifers, Sad to say, they have done a real disservice to our Pro-life cause, even here in Canada.
