here is a story about Sen. Obama and his wife on salon.com. It is about what he does during his off time. The story tells about a night when one of his young daughters had a soccer game and Sen. Obama showed up, much to her delight. It is a beautiful short story about a wonderful American family doing what most American families do. The contrast between the life of Sen. Obama and his family and the family of Sen. McCain couldn't be different. One wife, one house, one car, an average American family that just happens to have two incredibly talented, well-educated and intelligent parents.

My mother last night, a lifelong Republican, asked me who I'd rather see as first lady. I replied Michelle. My mother wholeheartedly agreed. She said that Cindy McCain has nothing in common with her and her friends. She went on to say how charming and wonderful Michelle is as a mother, wife and potential first lady.

That is old news, Obama himself provided that information without anyone asking, in his book. Beside, what has that got to do with his leadership qualities or solving the problem that confronts America.
We have all made mistakes. Even our current president was a self confessed acoholic and a drug abuser. We forgave him and voted him in as our president.

The reason why all of you who are republicans think that Obama has not been vetted is because you did not watch any of the reports during the democratic primaries. Things you are brining up now have already been explained or have been proven false. It's not your fault since you didn't follow the coverage but feel free to keep banging on the same drum. Also, if you don't know anything about what he stands for and his plans for the various issues, then you haven't been listening during this campaign either. And one more thought. How about telling us what McCain can do for this country instead of telling all of us with our head in the sand what is bad about Obama. I'd like to hear what you have to say.

I had the pleasure of watching the whole Obama family interact at a picnic in July '07. Ever since then I've hoped against hope that one day they'd be moving into the White House. They all give off a positive, loving vibe that is exactly what this country needs right now.

The awesome part about this is that I know where they got those costumes, as my daughter (7) has the same costume. We are not rich people and its great to see that they are ordinary people who shop and do things the same way ordinary families do. Dont believe the hype that the Republicans are trying to blow out there. The Obamas will be a great First Family and I would be proud to have them represent my family, a "real" American family.

Saying that Obama is a terrorist or an abortion extremist is really way out there. If you don't like him, you don't like him. But if you are so "frustrated and bitter" that you cling to these blatant falsehoods about Obama, then there is no reason to expect you to be a reasoned thinker.

Of course you could do research, you could investigate t.v. shows and web sites OTHER than just FOX and other conservative blogs, thus enabling yourself to develop a well rounded view.

Someone asks if this is political news,and the answer is YES. It is hard to understand how the GOP has crushed the spirit of this nation. You just have to be old enough to remember that the "Reagan Revolution" launched an alliance between serious conservatives and the moralizing, sexually repressed religious right.
