Even if Barack does not Win in IN/ND/MT, the fact that he has paid some attention to these smaller states with a history of voting GOP shows us that he is NOT just the same old time pol.

35K people to hear him speak in a GOP state, impessive. The 50 state strategy may not be quite all 50 but he has kept is word to expand the playing field. I wonder just how many miles he has logged in the last 18 months?

It will be VERY interesting to see what the final landscape looks like on 11/5. We really need a leader who will HELP us all get past the divisive Rovian politics that we have whithered under.

McClellan is a disgruntled ex-aide. He never opened his mouth about the Iraq War or Bush's Policies, until he was asked to resign and leave. Makes one wonder, if this guy is trustworthy at all....

Oh, and republicans need to turn off Rush and Hannity. Those two.. and the like... have deeply hurt the republican party. Their poster child turned the republican brand into rotten dog food.
Stupid is nothing to take pride in..

The republicans need to embrace the intelligentsia of their party again.

Their sideshow clown acts don't turn out so good in the real world.

I'd like to respond to the "Obama will kill the stock market argument". Actually, the market dowturn is due to both fundamentals and a larger "regulatory uncertainty" argument.

Fundamentally, we have a global downturn that has sapped liquidity from all corners of the world, a sharp increase in bank lending rates and unbearable fiscal deficits on both consumers and governments (except in some parts of Europe and Asia that, wisely have high savings rates). That the downturn caused by the mortgage mess in US spread to the rest of the world so quickly is verification of the fact that we live in a global world.

In terms of regulatory uncertainty, with such a sharp difference between the two candidates and the lack of an incumbent, most smart money is staying on the sidelines until the regulatory terrain can be figured out. Despite the raw capitalism we scream for, most wealth starts from some form of government largesse - positively in terms of, say, FCC licenses and negatively in terms of regulation. So, bascially people are waiting to see what the deck looks like.

Finally, going back to the global market argument, we can actually see a priced-in bounce for an Obama presidency because most of the world thinks him better to restore America's standing and normalize relations that would lead to increased trade. It is inevitable that America will need to focus on its own economic problems, so most of this money will probably pour into bonds before America emerges from the crisis and restores risk taking into equities.

P.S. A guy named El-Erian is head of the world largest bond manager, PIMCO. Don't be scared. We sometimes change diapers at home, but abroad we are already talking.

I find this endorsement very interesting. the question I have is if Mccain's own party does not like him is this why he reaches across the aisle? Yet the democrats are not fond of him either so where is he going to reach if he makes president?

If you go to Politico.com you will find a list of "goners" in congress as well. Apparently someone paid for research to determine exactly how many will be gone, who is on the fence and who still might win. The list is long and distinguished and Michelle Bachman is right in there with as a loss. Goes to show when you question the patriotism of Americans they will let you know just how patriotic they really are. Bachman went from winning last Thursday to losing this Thursday. Colin Powell was a better endorsement, but hey if Republicans want to come on over, they are welcome. That is the diff between a liberal and a conservative - conservatives are open minded

REPUBLICANS - You have SERIOUSLY got to STOP believing the RUMORS and start thinking for yourselves. You've been sold a bill of goods by an unethical, dishonest party.

There are no "ties to terrorists" nor are any of the other rumors and lies the McCain campaign has done to try and fulfill his lifelong dream of being president, no matter the cost.

Our country under President Obama will be GREAT because it will be run BY the people FOR the people as intended. WE are running, funding and moving this campaign as we will the country.

So WAKE UP and smell your FREEDOM!!

You know what I love? I LOVE how quickly conservatives turn on themselves. Over the next 12 days we'll see more and more conservatives endorsing Obama because he is the obvious choice for any intelligent person. And watch as these conservatives speak their minds - the blue collar Republican contingent will say "They were never a real conservative anyway!"

The way it's going I'd say the clear indication is that the only "real" conservatives are blue-collar uneducated peasants in bankrupt small towns across America.

And watch as these conservatives speak their minds – the blue collar Republican contingent will say "They were never a real conservative anyway!"

The way it's going I'd say the clear indication is that the only "real" conservatives are blue-collar uneducated peasants in bankrupt small towns across America.

Sarah is making the GOP look like fools. She is making out like a bandit--new clothes for herself and her family, and all on the tax payer's dime. A 4,000 purse for her young daughter is just the beginning. She is milking this losing campaign for all it's worth and doesn't really care who wins.

McCain is a fool if he thinks I'm going to send Caribou Barbie to the White House so she can get her greedy hands on more of my money. That witch is going back to Alaska if I have to carry her on my back.

how could it be anyone who has lived through the last 7 years of the bush tax cuts to the wealthy, super-rich and multi-national corporations who ship american jobs overseas, and john mccain will continue, truly believe with the over 800,000 jobs lost since the first of the year, gas, energy and food prices high, more homes now and going into foreclosure than since the great depression that only this time, prosperity will rein down like tinkerbell's fairy dust. what peyote bush has john mccain been smoking? the american people, and the people of indiana, has finally figured out, as harry truman once said, whose been hitting them over the head.

nani - I hate to break it to you, but we're already ruined, with a future of more to come. As far as the clothes go, $150,000 is a lot of money. If I had donated to the RNC, I would have been mad. Unless, of course, they offered to buy me a $150,000 makeover.

Many senior Republicans have realized the McCain candidacy is seriously flawed. With the seriousness of the nation's issues, McCain, Palin and the surrogates continue traveling down the attack road even through the strategy is seen to be a failure. This is another example of a poorly organized and run campaign which have raised serious doubts in the mind's of voters concerning McCain's stability, judgment, health, age and his VP pick. Too many negatives to overcome!

"What's going on?" Well, historically the poll numbers have tightened up in the final days of an election. Rarely is a double-digit lead attained or even maintained for very long.

If you add the fact that Obama is not necessarily the choice of many...shall we say...xenophobic Americans under *any* circumstance, I think that the numbers are impressive as they are.

The first important decision by someone running for the President of the United States is to pick a running mate. McCain failed in this task. Moreover, his capaign is in shambles. HOW CAN WE TRUST HIM TO RUN THE GOVT, IF HE FAILED IN THIS INITIAL TASKS?

Anyone casting a vote for McCain/Palin is NOT RATIONAL.
They are either ignorant of at worst racists.

It's time for a change. Change from the SOS.

1. We are not following for the lies anymore.
2. We have to start looking to the future to fix what has happened in the past.
3. It's time out for dirty politics and division in this country.
4. We are the hard working Americans that need a break - need a piece of America.
5. We are the waitresses, janitors, secretaries, bank tellers, security guards, grocery store clerks that work twice has hard as the big "CEOs" that sit behind a desk and make decisions. Yet we get paid less and less as taxes go up.

It's time America! It's our time!

Vote for the right change: Obama/Biden 08'

Not smart to raise taxes on the people who provide jobs. Don’t worry my income will stay the same (The rich will stay rich) I’ll just fire a couple employees to cover my losses that Obama creates.

Unemployment will be over 10% under Obama guaranteed. Other business owners I have talked with will also start cutting jobs and raising prices if Obama is elected.

Some of you will be voting yourselves out of a job. Typical democrat, cut your nose off despite your face.

Don’t cry to me when you get the pink slip, I’ll just reply, I TOLD YOU SO!

Most people understand Obama is not far left. Obama will make a mid-course directional changes and aim the ship in a slight left of center direction.
Obama will not flip the ship with a huge swing left.
Obama is centered. He is slow and steady.

Obama will have some of the best republican minds in his cabinet. Obama wants the best... like Abrham Lincon. There are great minds on both sides. Not all republicans are pathological ideological tabloid trash like Hannity and Rush.
The republicans have some top notch intellects in their party that Obama is able to have productive 'meeting of the minds' with.
Obama is going to be very different than GW. That is a fact.
The republicans don't need to be scared. Obama is smart enough to recognize other smart people and problem solve.
We have a lot of work to do as a nation. A lot of really big problems face us.
Get ready. We have to work together. It's time
