Palin: Obama will 'invite danger' if elected

TROY, Ohio (CNN) - - Sarah Palin on Thursday warned Ohioans that the Democratic ticket will "invite dangerous international crisis" if elected and gleefully mocked Barack Obama for dismissing his running mate Joe Biden as being prone to "rhetorical flourishes."

At a press conference in Virginia on Wednesday, Obama made the comment while defending Biden for saying at a fundraiser, "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy" - a statement the McCain campaign has seized on to highlight Obama's relative lack of national security experience.

Palin asserted that yesterday's "hastily" assembled press conference in Richmond, in which the Democratic nominee was flanked by 15 of his top national security advisers, should remind voters of "how Obama handles trouble."

"Here his own running mate has just warned America - and it's not the first time - he warned us throughout the primaries that Barack was not ready to be president," Palin said. "He reminded them that the election of Barack Obama will invite dangerous international crisis because he is untested. And Barack just brushes it off as rhetorical flourish."

"I question dismissing Joe Biden's moment of truth-telling as nothing more than a social embarrassment," she pressed on. "Sen. Obama's own running mate, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has informed us that a serious international crisis is certain if Obama is elected and that he is not ready to deal with it."

In fact, Biden did not say Obama "is not ready" to handle a national security crisis, but rather that Obama will need his supporters to stand with him as tough decisions are made.

Rounding out her criticism of Obama, Palin pledged that McCain has the experience to keep America safe.

"Now at least Joe and I have found some common ground, finally," she said. "We found common ground because I too want a president who's been tested. What I want is a president who spent 22 years in uniform defending our country."

Wait...wasn't it Biden who said this. Wow, CNN got a headline wrong again...now that's odd

So that's why McCain chose a woman with so much experience to be a 72 year old heartbeat away from the Presidency?

Barack is untested, but Palin is "tested"? Please! Besides, the last thing the "country first " candidates need to be doing is instilling fear in exchange for votes. It's spectacularly irresponsible, and a clear measure of just how desperate McCain is to be president. What a bitter, tired, old man he has become.

Sarah Palin also has a scary middle name. Sarah Boo Palin continues to use fear mongering to try to win votes. (Credit to Saturday Night Live's "Tim Calhoun")

John McCain has failed many tests these past eight years and in this campaign. His choice of a beauty queen who pretends to be one of us was a big "F" but his part in allowing us to go to war with a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 is an even bigger failure.

Wow, the Palin family sure looks sharp in those designer duds.
She'll be the best dressed vice president in history thanks to those good America "Joes" and "Jills" who gave their hard-earned money, so Sarah could look her best.

Have you looked at the polls lately? Its over Palin. You might as well start packing for Alaska because you certainly won't be welcome in the lower 48 after Nov. 4th.

Isn't it convenient that McCain and Palin keep leaving out the part where Biden says that Obama's enemies will find that he has steel in his spine?

How, precisely, please tell me, I'm begging you, has John McCain been "tested"? He has never been the one man in charge of keeping the entire United States safe. He did no more on 9/11 then anyone else, and much less than many. If he is referring to his war time military service, I would like to point out that he failed miserably at that, all the way around. From his conduct on the USS Forrestal to his POW time, to his crashing of planes and careless flying. He failed miserably at being tested in his first marriage. Whatever "tests" this guy has been given, he has failed.

The point is that he has never been "tested" as the leader of our nation. No one can be until they are actually sitting at that desk in the oval office. I wish this old man and his attack dog would shut the he** up!

This is all starting to make me feel like crap. I'm starting to think that that's exactly what she wants. She wants the process to annoy so many people into not voting at all so they can try to win it with their base. Well, I may have to turn my TV and internet off, but I'll be there on the 4th. I just hope they have the decency to keep their comments to themselves after Obama is elected President.

Didn't she drop out of the race yet to make room for a credible vice-persidential candidate? Poor John McCain- I know what you're thinking, but you can't dump her- she has to go by herself.

Time for the old scare tactics. If you elect a Democrat, we'll get bombed again. It worked in 2004. It won't work in 2008.

McCain invited more than just danger into the race by picking Caribou Barbie and her idiocy for his VP.

Sarah Palin has a difficult time separating her personal life from her professional life. HOw come her kids and husband always tag alonging which the taxpayers of Alaska shoulder their expenses!

I just cringe everytime Sarah Palin is on tv and I just turn off the tv. I sure don't know what she's babbling stupidly about in that very irritating voice of hers! One thing is Sarah Palin doesn't know how to conduct herself in a very professional person if she's supposed to be a VP candidate. She absolutely doesn't have the poise, integrity, dignity, and pride as a VP candidate

The only crisis that will be for certain, is if the American people elect this joke of a woman to be our vice president. The McCain/ Palin ticket is dangerous, careless, and flat out ridiculous. Country first Senator McCain? Please.
