TROY, Ohio (CNN) - – Sarah Palin on Thursday warned Ohioans that the Democratic ticket will "invite dangerous international crisis" if elected and gleefully mocked Barack Obama for dismissing his running mate Joe Biden as being prone to "rhetorical flourishes."
At a press conference in Virginia on Wednesday, Obama made the comment while defending Biden for saying at a fundraiser, "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy" - a statement the McCain campaign has seized on to highlight Obama's relative lack of national security experience.
Palin asserted that yesterday's "hastily" assembled press conference in Richmond, in which the Democratic nominee was flanked by 15 of his top national security advisers, should remind voters of "how Obama handles trouble."
"Here his own running mate has just warned America - and it's not the first time - he warned us throughout the primaries that Barack was not ready to be president," Palin said. "He reminded them that the election of Barack Obama will invite dangerous international crisis because he is untested. And Barack just brushes it off as rhetorical flourish."
"I question dismissing Joe Biden's moment of truth-telling as nothing more than a social embarrassment," she pressed on. "Sen. Obama's own running mate, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has informed us that a serious international crisis is certain if Obama is elected and that he is not ready to deal with it."
In fact, Biden did not say Obama "is not ready" to handle a national security crisis, but rather that Obama will need his supporters to stand with him as tough decisions are made.
Rounding out her criticism of Obama, Palin pledged that McCain has the experience to keep America safe.
"Now at least Joe and I have found some common ground, finally," she said. "We found common ground because I too want a president who's been tested. What I want is a president who spent 22 years in uniform defending our country."

Goodness! With that photo, all she needs is a pointy hat to complete her look. I heard they are on sale at Saks.
Nov. 5th cannot come soon enough so she will go back to Alaska !!
Palin's kids should be back at home and IN SCHOOL.
With Palin as president the whole world will be laughing at America and attacking America.
Vote Obama-Biden '08 and send the Palins back to Alaska!
Who cares if Obama wrecks the economy and invites international crisis?
We want change! at any cost.
Forget real experience, we want untested intellectual elitest theories on how things "should" work. How many times has he been wrong so far? Even Biden said the presidency is not the place for on-the-job training.
Four years from now we'll be saying, "Dang, those theories didn't quite pan out; let's elect someone who knows what the heck they're doing.
Clearly this woman is delusional.
The meeting was called two weeks ago, to account for the busy schedules of the participants.
More lies and smears we won't miss come November 5th.
I'm not going to miss her or McNasty.
She is about as scary as it gets! Imagine her running the Senate. TeeHee. What a baffoon!
I define inviting danger as electing a 72 years old ,cancer prone, war hawk with a power abusing, no ethics having, VP who isn't smarter that a 3rd grader. I'm sure after Bin Laden stops ROTFL, he will begin testing.
By the way Ms. Palin do your kids ever go to formal school? I haven't seen them with a book in hand once since you began this quest. How much are their tag alongs with mommy costing the campaign or the RNC?
What's this? More fear tactics? Wow Palin, just in time for Halloween. But come Nov 4th, it's just going to be tricks for you.
Is there any way we can fast forward the next 12 days so we dont have to listen to her taking things out of context? I am so tired of the all the potical games that McCain and Palin are playing.
America, please vote on November 4 and make the right choice that we need for this country.
Mr. Biden did not say Obama is not ready. Anyone who is elected president will be put in test during this troubling times of both financial and international crisises. No president of this great country was not "tested" during their time in the White House.
Palin and McCain have lost their minds in desperation. What in the world is she talking about? Maybe she's bipolar...
Let the Palin is dumb and stupid and incompetent and unqualified and whatever other comments your small minds can come up with begin. But you cannot argue with a straight face that Biden and his foot-in-mouth disease are more qualified than Palin to VP.
Please remember McCain," boom, boom, boom Iran"
Will we recieve instructions on how we are to,
"Gird our Loins"?
I'm a little out of practice!
Palin doesn't want an untested president? What exactly is she? Yes, she's running for the VP, but with 72-year-old McCain, she is likely to be the one being tested by an international crisis.
Can anyone seriously see her negotiating with foreign heads of state? I mean, seriously?
And when will this "maverick reformer" talk about:
if you don't know what the vp how will you dare qualify to define experienced joe's words.instead of you telling people what you will do for them you are asking people to help you to be in white house, convince them about the basic things first not uncertainties that nobody knows whether it will ever happen
the lies just never stop.....
I hope Sarah is preparing for her legal deposition on Friday.
Sarah click your heels and say there is no place like home and puff you will be out of my vision and hearing.... you are the worst :0(... I am so over you Sarah you just suck big time .... you give women a bad name but thank goodness you do not speak for us.... just the real American women right..... as those are your words!
the only danger here is Palin herself. who needs terrorists from abroad when you have terrorists at home. Palin need to shut her mouth. It is going to get worse folks. From all the early voting polls, Obama is leading by 20 points nationwide.
This is the kind of bad campaign slander, once again the republicans try to win on creating fear, that has made up my mind not to vote for McCain. Palin was a very bad choice and I could not take 4 years of this.
I could eat nothing but peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for a year and not be as sick of them as I am of this woman!
If there is a crisis in a Obama presidency, it is certianly comforting to know that Obama will have the well seasoned advice of a Joe Biden at his side. I am convinced that Gov. Palin would not be equally useful to this country in that role. Best wishes for her as Gov. of Alaska.
Is it just me? Does any one else detect some "Joe the plumber" drabness in the Palin family hair styles and outfits today. Come on Todd....how about a little polish on those shoes. Is not "Sammy the shoe shiner" in your posse?
Until she can do real interviews, without parental guidance, she needs to just stick to their issues, which lately seems to change on a whim everyday.
Why aren't her kids in school?
