LOL, LOL!, Barbara, you are too much. Jay Leno could use someone like you. It is not my style to laugh at anyone but hey, there are exceptions, especially since some of these politicians are clowning around and their naive followers are egging them on.

Yeah, yeah...let's kick out the GOP since they controlled the House 2 years ago...let's forget the majority NOW, PRESENT DAY, cuz they've done such a magnificent job. CNN, in one of its magical polls where the people being polled are never talked about, say voter's think more of the GOP should be replaced. Why? So we can get less accomplished with an all liberal Congress and a possible liberal President? Get real CNN, no one with a working brain thinks that....only hippies.

> The TRUTH is that this country has see exceptional growth throughout
> most of Bush's presidency.

You want to explain that to the people of New Orleans, or the car maker in Detroit?

CNN: Please post...I've tried four times!!!

From the months of primaries, conventions, debates, news reports, and even blogs, I have come to the conclusion that this election is about two issues: experience and race.

Experience: In 2000, we elected a governor from Texas. Eight months after taking office, 09/11 happened. His response? Go against the UN, lie to the nation about WMD's, go to war in Iraq, sacrifice over 4,000 of our men/women, and STILL Osama bin Laden is on the lose. He and his friends (McCain) allowed greed and corruption on Wall Street hurt us on Main Street. The question is, do we still want that same "experience"?

Race: We cannot choose our parents. Obama was born to a black Kenyan and a while woman from Kansas (Dorothy and Toto-land...how more "American" can you get?). He was orphaned and raised by his grandparents. Received a law degree and became a professor of Constitutional Law. I'll betcha he knows the role of the VP! It's 2008, and I am shocked at the racism that still exists in America. It's not the 1840's, folks. Vote for the half that's white if that makes you feel better.

I have voted Republican until I early voted on Tuesday for Obama. Florida is still up for grabs, but don't count on us being "red" again. We see through all the lies and distortions coming from our "experienced" leaders. It's time they all go home and sit in the corner and think about the wrong decisions they've made.

I say throw all the bums out. Mainly the ones who voted in favor of the robbery/bailout bill. Sorry folks, but there are Dems and GOP who need booted out on their heads. Maybe it is time to get a viable third party that will better adhere to the Constitution in there and reclaim the Republic.

There are two things which I am really happy about that CNN and Obama's campaign have allowed myself and many others to see.
_____________

Maybe if you actually went out, got an education and socialized with
humans, you wouldn't seem as bitter and angry as your hero McCain.

When are you going to do a "popularity" poll on the "Best Political Team in Television?" Bet those numbers might scare a few folks.
CNN is about MAKING news, not reporting it. They serve more kool aide than any network on the air.

Wow,
I'm impressed that the CNN moderator has actually posted comments about Bob Barr!!

Must be that after all of his appearances on CNN, it still took his appearance on PBS Lehrer Newshour to gain legitimacy within the mainstream media.
Well Bob Barr will be on NBC nightly news next week, but you should check out his website and youtube for his views on issues...

Again, Bob Barr, for you and me, not for bailouts, not for more taxes, not for bigger government.

I just came back from early voting in Ks. What a good peaceful feeling to mark my ballot comfortably for every democrat on the ballot. In this highly republican state we still have good alternatives to the power machine they have created here with high quality people running against entrenched career politocos.I was somewhat surprised that I was only the 61st person to avail myself of this early voting option in my small town and further surprised that I have seen only 3 yard signs supporting Obama but in talking with the townspeople strongly suspect, in the secrecy of the voting booth, while Ks will never go totally democratic that he will get alot more votes than polls are showing.

You democrats disgust me. Honestly you are vile. I hope everyone is ready to be poor, but Obama he's great!, he's going to bring change! Give me a break. You people should not be allowed to call yourselves Americans

Always had that slight smirk on his face when he was talking,

There is not one of you who thinks his/her rep should be voted out. Everyone thinks theirs is doing a good job. They are all there only for themselves. If they were interested in just U.S., we would not be in this financial crisis. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and Barack Obama would have allowed the lending rules to be tightened up and republicans would not have allowed Bush to get us involved in unwinnable wars. Our jobs would not all be going out of country and we would actually have two viable candidates for whom we could vote for POTUS instead of these two clowns. I AM NOW VOTING AGAINST ALL INCUMBENTS FROM THE LOCAL UP TO THE NATIONAL RACES. I want change and that is the only way. Next election I will do the same unless some prove they are there for U.S. and not themselves.

I am sick and tired of watching the GOP turn our political system into a disgrace. Their tactics of lies and deception has reached new lows in what is possible for politicians are willing to do just to warm the seats of deceit..

Republicans have ruined a wonderful country by their greed pushing the economy so far past the point of where it should have been reined in that we may now face a depression just to get back into a healthy balance.

The GOP has acted like a carload of reckless teenagers with Daddy's credit card. It's time for them to go home and sit in the corner while the responsible members of our system clean up their mess.

But for each time they have publicly lied attempting to steal a seat at the adult table they should be caned. I once respected John McCain but have lost all trust in him as a leader. He has changed into the most vicious liar I could imagine. His girl from Alaska is capable of saying and doing anything to get to the top.

These people need to be shown the way to the woodshed. Democrats GET OUT & VOTE OBAMA!!! Save the American Dream!

The Dems have only been in control of congress for 2 yr. In that 2 years they are suppose to have fixed everything? It wasn't the Dems who had control of the congress when the war started it was the Republicans, can you say 10 BILLION dollars a month?? Helloooo!! Can you pay off a trillion dollar deficit in 2years? I don't think I even know anyone who can pay off a 5000 dollar credit card in 2 years! Couple that with a President who is so out of touch with the rest of the world! Don't blame it on the Democrats it will take probably 20 years to undo the damage that the Repugs did in 8!

Voters are just now angry at G.W. bush? Where was that anger in 2004? If we had elected John Kerry in 2004 we wouldn’t now be stuck with having to choose Obama over Senator McCain. What an awful choice. I am a lifelong Democrat who can’t support either candidate for president this election cycle. One bad choice after another by the American electorate, when will we ever learn?

America should throw all the Republicans out! Simply because while they controlled both House and Senate from 1/94 through 1/07 they did all the deregulation they could!

The Republicans and the Republican president have nearly bankrupted our Nation........ with over.........$10 TRILLION IN NATION DEBT.

And the other reason to throw the Republicans out: their vile politics of hate, fear, lies and division!

We've had enough!

Now Sarah’s innovatin’ again, with “trickle down” economics, by spendin’ lavishly on herself:
–$4,716.49 on hair and makeup just through September,
–$5,102.71 at Bloomingdale’s New York,
–$9,447.71 at Macy’s in Minneapolis,
–$49,425.74 at Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York
–and a whopping $75,062.63 spending spree at Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis (doggone it, she’s goin’ upscale on us real fast!).

Then there’s the $21,012 for her three daughters’ 64 one-way and 12 round-trip commercial flights since she took office as Gov. in December 2006 (that bill was paid by the state of Alaska, admirably provin’ Palin’s credentials as an equal-opportunity biller!).

Republicans used to belittle former Sen. John Edwards’ $400 haircut, but compared to Palin, that looks like chump change!

Liberals are generally less tolerant than conservatives, and the more liberal the less tolerant.

Wait until President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid have been in power 2 years. Not even CNN, with their cheerleading, will be able to be objective of the new trioka.

Like Germany in the 1930's, we are getting ready to vote away our liberties.

As much as I would like to throw all the bums out, my Senator (Durbin) received an A+ for voting on Veteran's issues. Obama got a B.

Further, there were four Senators who earned a D or lower from IAVA Action this year. These legislators must improve their voting records if they are to legitimately claim that they support our troops and veterans:

Tom Coburn OK

Michael Enzi WY

John McCain AZ

Jim DeMint SC

With Congress, every time they make a joke it's a law, and every time they make a law it's a joke. For the most part, illiterate hacks whose fancy vests are spotted with gravy, and whose speeches, hypocritical, unctuous, and slovenly, are spotted also with the gravy of political patronage, these persons are a reflection on the democratic process rather than of it; they expose it in its process rather than of it; they expose it in its underwear.
People want to vote for a failed community organizer, who voted 'present' (aka wimped out) when he was a state senator, and has probably done actual 'U.S. Senator' duties 10% of the time he's been a US Senator. You want the Dems to control Congress, led by two of the most bitter, hate-filled, and ineffective leaders to ever serve in those positions (Pelosi and Reid). Who have led Congress to it's lowest ratings EVER.

I would say all you who want Dems controlling everything are dumber than a bag of rocks, but that's insulting rocks.

Well, I hope that they take Pelosi with them! As a Democrat, I am ashamed of her for not impeaching this administration and for shirking her constitutional duty. I have been sending donations to Cindy Sheehan.

Too many are forgeting that the last two years congress was under republican rule -including Bush's veto and sighning statement powers. That is not to say some are not so great, but this is by, in huge large, a republican mess. Now they want to lable Obama a Socialist like they did JFK-same old dirty-lying-tricks. Even moderate republicans know they need to purge their party of the far right extremist agenda and regroup.

There are two things which I am really happy about that CNN and Obama's campaign have allowed myself and many others to see.

1. How biased and deranged CNN and most of their viewers are.

2. All of the Hollywood and music stars coming out of the cracks which I no longer will support who support a socialist government.

Thanks CNN.

ONLY...... stupid and ignorant people "stampede to the Democratic Party.' In a very short period time, this Nation has seen what a Democratic Controlled Congress will do to DIVIDE a Country because of their stupidity and divisiveness. We've also seen what an UNQUALIFIED PERSON by the NAME OF PELOSI can do to destroy a cohesive Congress. Any person who stampedes to vote for Obama, the ALL TIME FRAUD OF THE CENTURY, and wants to see this crooked man who can't seem to stop lying, who is also the MOST unqualified and inexperienced candidate ever to run in a like election, NEEDS TO HAVE HIS HEAD EXAMINED.

As for Congress, we already have term limitations.

No person can be a member of the House of Representatives for more than 2 years and no person can be a member of the US Senate for more than 6 years.....unless the people of the United States want them to be there longer.

Term limitations already exist in the form of elections. Clearly the people like their current representative in Congress if they keep re-electing them in to office.

Putting in mandatory term limits seems to be restricting the right of the people to vote how they want.

If you don't like your current representative, then exercise your right to vote and not re-elect them.

Simple right?
