(CNN) - Barack Obama appears to be widening his lead over John McCain as Election Day inches closer.
According to the latest CNN poll of polls, the Illinois senator now holds a 9-point advantage over McCain nationwide, 51 percent to 42 percent.
That's an increase of two points over the last two days for Obama and a reflection of several national polls that suggest the race seems to be headed in the wrong way for the Arizona senator with only a week and a half remaining.
Included in the latest CNN poll of polls are new surveys from ABC/Washington Post (October 19-22), CBS/NYT (October 19-22), Fox/Opinion Dynamics (October 20-21), Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby (October 20-22), Gallup (October 20-22) and Diageo/Hotline (October 20-22).

CBS says 13 points! More than enough to cover "undecided" voters. Plus, their survey says that 3 out of 4 people polled believe Obama will win....Our long national nightmare is almost over!

As an Obama supporter I will not jump up for joy because he is leading by NINE points in the polls. The polls don't mean anything to me. And frankly I still dont get why he's only leading by NINE points with the way this country is going under the republican party. GO FIGURE!

Victory is in sight. Even if the other polls are a bit tighter, its better to be several points ahead at this stage than several points behind. The Repubs who are grasping at any straws right now are starting to sound desperate. As a Democrat, I've known the feeling, so I can tell desperation when I see it. Bye-bye, Sarah.

The AP Poll has Obama with a 1 point lead and invester's daily Poll has Obama with a 1 point lead and well, you see my point. There are many different polls that CNN does not have control over. Watch the news broadcast about early voter lines. ((% of the people in line are black. they say about 65% of them never voted before and they are only voting because Obama claims to be black. Of course we all also know he was biRacial at the beginning of the campaign. He bcame black inorder to gain thousands of votes.
As the sports announces says when the football player gets a touch down.... HE WILL GO ALL THE WAY AND HE DOES. That is what is gonna happen in November OBAMA/BIDEN ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE.

i am gonna go with senator Obama, on not getting confident yet. i will just wait till november 4th. but i do want the OBAMA/BIDEN TO WIN THIS ELECTION!!!
Both candidates STINK this year! I don't even think I'm gonna vote...it's not like its really gonna make a difference. Hillary Clinton was and is the only answer to the economy failures of today.
Don't forget to actually VOTE. Stop counting chickens before they hatch guys. It's not over yet.
A former Marine, Vietnam vet, and senior citizen, and independent voter, I have been proud of my country my entire life, except the last eight years which have been the most painful of my life. Thank God! it appears we will once again have someone in the office with sufficient intelligence and integrity that I may once again feel pride in America.
I look forward on election day to see helicopters flying above to cover the Obama phenomena of people lined up for miles to vote for Obama.
People will be camping overnight at their polling places to make sure Obama wins.
