Tensions within the McCain-Palin campaign are spilling into the public. A McCain aide told CNN that Gov. Palin is a 'diva.'

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) – With 10 days to go until election day, long brewing tension between Sarah Palin and key aides to John McCain has become so intense, it is spilling out into the public.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue” recently, while a Palin associate says she is simply trying to “bust free” of what she believes was a mishandled roll-out that damaged her.

McCain sources point to several incidents where Palin has gone off message, and privately wonder if they were deliberate. For example: labeling robo calls “irritating,” even as the campaign was defending the use of them and telling reporters she disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to now be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

Why she got an 80 percent rating in Alaska, I'll never know. That number must have been put out by her people. She is not a team player, she believes she knows it all, and yes she is a diva. She is just using John McCain to get to the next level. We pray she does not. She has done too much damage and frankly, she lies.

Man!!! I haven't heard such a good story since I read about "Charmelagne"...you know this is better! LOL!!!

All I'm gonna say is I told you so GOP. But noooooo, you thought it was a joke, but nooooooooo, you thought people wouldn't care, etc.

But on the other hand, if she's doesn't succeed, she'll be one of the biggest busts in American politics...

First Palin need to get an understanding and have a clue. It appears that she can trash talk but have no subtance. Half the time I really don't know what she's talking about.

    Obama/Biden

Should we be so unfortunate to have McCain/Palin win this election, their taking over the White House Administration would make George Bush Administration look good. Palin has gotten so empowered and full of herself by the attention she has received, that she would be extremely dangerous if given power. She is NO Hillary and could never be. While I think help for 'special needs children' is important, it IS a special interest group, something they say they want to abolish. There are many other illnesses that need funding too, however if not something that personally affects Palin and McCain, then it will definitely be cut out. This is pretty obvious by their comments.

lol, maybe she really is a maverick. Too bad for McCain, she's mavericking against him!

This will go down in history as the worst VP pick ever. No vetting and no chemistry at all. She is just ruining McCain's campaign.

This article sounds like another unsubstantiated media hack job to me. I'd be interested to hear what your definition of a "McCain aide" might be. You can't seriously expect a thoughtful reader to take this at face value. Trying to portray Palin as a diva is a truly pathetic and sexist ploy, one which reflects your own fears that you'll be seeing her in a presidential campaign next time around.

If McCain can't control her when she's merely a candidate, wait until she's ensconced in the White House as vice president. Who knows what she'll do or what policies she'll advocate. And I happen to like John McCain. But I don't want the tail wagging the dog.

This is no shock. Every indication points to her ego and bull-headedness being a huge problem. We have had stubborn , uninformed, and uncompromising leadership for the past eight years. Do we really want more of this? I can't believe anyone even supports this woman. She is not vice-material much less presidential.

I am sad to see the republican party fall this far. It is in complete disaray. I am ashamed to have once called myself a republican. What happened to the party of Lincoln? The party has been overrun by the way out there fringe.

PALIN IS COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL AND OUT FOR HERSELF. NOT THE COUNTRY, NOT HER PARTY.

MCCAIN CAN'T EVEN CONTROL HIS OWN RUNNING MATE.

    JUST LIKE BUSH WITH CHENEY.

WAKE UP AMERICA AND VOTE OBAMA / BIDEN BEFORE TOO LATE. ONLY 10 DAYS LEFT.

I pray that all Americans will see her for what she is – perhaps the most dangerous political newbie since Adolf Hitler. The US and the world is in for a whole lot of hurt if we don't kick her out hard and fast. No kidding.

As I told Alaska Sen. Green months before the Gov. became VP running mate. Maybe what we need is less process and more action and strait talk. Good for Palin!!
