Tensions within the McCain-Palin campaign are spilling into the public. A McCain aide told CNN that Gov. Palin is a 'diva.'

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) – With 10 days to go until election day, long brewing tension between Sarah Palin and key aides to John McCain has become so intense, it is spilling out into the public.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue” recently, while a Palin associate says she is simply trying to “bust free” of what she believes was a mishandled roll-out that damaged her.

McCain sources point to several incidents where Palin has gone off message, and privately wonder if they were deliberate. For example: labeling robo calls “irritating,” even as the campaign was defending the use of them and telling reporters she disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to now be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

I don't put much stock into stories using unidentified sources. What would stop them from just making this crud up?

The fat lady is back stage warming up her vocal chords . . .

McCain should've picked Lieberman. At least he's a cowardly turncoat. Palin is a self-absorbed turncoat.

Sara Palin appears and comes across as the type of person that would do anything to advance her career..She would throw John McCain to the wolves if they do not will this election.. and no doubt she want the be the face of the Republican Party in the future. Most of the right wing nut jobs will love that..

Did you expect anything less? The choice was ludicrous, and demeaning to the American public. To have such total disregard and disdane for the average citizens intelligence is inexcusable. Palin was a disaster waiting to happen, and she has finally imploded. In 11 days sarah, back to your mooseburgers, while sitting at your hearth, binoculars on hand, vigilantly protecting us from the onslaught kf the Russians, You betcha !! Wink! Wink!

If Palin is labeling herself as the next leader of the Republican party, than they have truly lost their way. It's absolutely hilarious that her perceived star status, created mainly by people's fascination with her next big mistake, would make her believe that this hollow dream would be anything but. The majority of the country will never embrace her.

This the part in the movie where the bad guys start shooting at each other. The criminal mastermind behind the Big Guy starts laughing maniacally and begins blowing up everything, ultimately setting off the doomsday device before it's ready. A few smart henchman run away just in time, usually....

Is this a suprise to anyone? Palin'e entire career has been littered with the corpses of political mentors and allies who have tried to help her, and she has repeatedly stabbed them in the back. I am reminded of a phrase that describes her perfectly; "She has all the characteristics of a dog except fidelity". She has neither intellect nor experience in any depth, but has the ambition of Lucifer.

It's all over except for the crying. The more the prevailing story of the McCain campaign is back biting, infighting and public recriminations the better it will be for Obama come the 4th.

This is the circus and the ringmaster is not McCain anymore. Palin is banking on herself for the next election and her extreme right religious agenda. John has sold his soul to the devil (or "The Lord's followers")trying to get the social conservative vote. What a stupid move. Now he is stuck and going down. How many times McCain's campaign is going to fumble? Hilarious...

Sarah please go back to Alaska you have brought nothing but shame to the republicans and women. Just go home, there is no future for you in politics in this country.

Now, could you imagine what if would be like if these two got elected? She would be drilling holes in Alaska and he would be bombing every country he didn't like. Pretty soon, the world would be one big ball of Swiss cheese. Perhaps McCain should have used a process called "vetting" prior to choosing Palin. I strongly feel the only reason he chose her was to get the women's vote. How sexist of him. He knew she wasn't qualified and to this day, all he says when asked about her qualifications is that she energized the base of the Republican party. If he had chosen "Yosemite Sam", that character would have energized the base because McCain couldn't. He can't publically admit her ineptness to handle the job as VP, but, then its too late to choose someone else more qualified. Oh well, McShame – You reep what you sow! You did a very dishonorable deed to this country and your party by choosing this unqualified person for such an important job. This election is not a joke, but, you have made it one. You are NO hero in my eyes. You are sad.

With her abuse of power, her ethics transgressions, her $150,000 on clothes (as a hockey mom), her govt money spent on her children, her putting Wasilla into debt, her silly views of evolution, her anti-science perspective, her lack of support for sex education (or lack of applying it to herself, given her presumed eight month gestation of her first child), her divisive categorization of 'real' Americans and others who don't look/act/believe like her...
Well, good luck to Sarah the Mayor, let alone Sarah the Govenor. Of course, she can see Russia from her front door...

What amazes me is that the American people have been given almost no access to someone that could potentially be the next president of the United States. We've only known Palin for about 2 months and somehow that's enough time to elect someone to represent our country for the next 4 or possibly 8 years. It's about the same amount of time we get to get to know who'll be the next American Idol.

But the bigger problem for Palin is when she does decide to run again she'll be up against her peers who will no doubt crucify her on her international credentials, her experience level and her readiness factor. Right now Palin has no one to compete with but the Democrats. When she finally has some real competition we'll get to know the REAL Sarah Palin and we'll probably get even more dirt on her as her Republican rival(s) try to bring her down in an effort to win themselves.

I think the reason many Republicans are backing Obama is so that they don't have to eat their words that they were behind Palin during the election and now doubt her when running against her. In fact their support of the other side will only prove that they never thought she was ready to be president.
