Obama again mocks McCain over ties to Bush

Obama: McCain really stuck it to Bush -- 10 percent of the time.
Obama: McCain really stuck it to Bush - 10 percent of the time.

RENO, Nevada (CNN) - Democrat Barack Obama levied more criticism at opponent John McCain Saturday, mocking the Arizona Republican by saying McCain is just "trying to break with his president over the last ten days after having supported him for the last eight years."

"He denounced the President for letting things get completely out of hand–that's what he said," Obama told a crowd in Reno. "In fact, John McCain is so opposed to George Bush's policies, that he voted with him 90 percent of the time for the first eight years. That's right, he decided to really stick it to George Bush – 10 percent of the time."

"So, let's be clear. John McCain attacking George Bush for his out-of-hand economic policy is like Dick Cheney attacking George Bush for his go-it-alone foreign policy. What Joe Biden says – it's like Tonto getting mad at the Lone Ranger."

Though, to be clear, Obama's running mate Joe Biden never actually said that publicly. Biden has, however, made similar references using Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

The Illinois senator is spending the day out west. In addition to Reno's event, he's also holding a rally in Las Vegas, as well as one in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

McCain says on the trail that increase of taxes will slow economic recovery. Well John 8 years of tax breaks for the wealthy have crippled our economy and the worlds. It's going to take some serious redistribution of wealth from the taxpayers to the wealth to set it right.

We don't need another Cowboy/Fighter Pilot as President. Honestly, I have seen enough of their "talents" over the last 8 years.

I honestly do Miss the Old McCain. A year ago I was pondering voting for him over Hillary. But McCain has fallen so far so fast that I am shocked that he could do so. I do miss the honest, steadfast, and honorable man that once was McCain.

Thankfully there is Obama, who not only is a valid alternative, but is also a man with a positive, hopeful vision of the future.

I can't wait for this to all be over and we can get on with cleaning up the HUGE mess the Re'lic party has left in Washington. "If you're not with us, you're against us." Sound familiar? WHO muttered that famous phrase? Did division not start with him? Said he was a "uniter, NOT a divider"...funny, HOW'S THAT working 4 ya Dubya, huh? McCain and Palin our doing the same thing. Trying to drive a wedge between the American people. Good trumps evil. Speaking of halloween...it'll come back to Haunt-Ya! BeTcH-Ya!!!

IT¨S so pathetic that OBAMA needs BUSH so badly that in every speech he has to connect McCain to BUSH and to tell the voters how bad last 8 years were….
Bush has nothing to do with 9/11 but he has prevented new terrorist actions in american soil…and people should give Bush credit for that..

Obama was SO truthful ! McCain is "distancing" himself from Bush,..when it's less than 2 weeks away from the election. McCain thinks Americans won't notice the timing. This is a man who voted 90% of the time for Bush's policies. This is the man who said "the economy was doing well under the Bush admin." just 2 days before the economy crashed! McCain lives in 7 houses, married a heiress, and eats at very expensive resturants while the Americans are losing their homes and scraping for money to buy groceries.
    McCain is a joke!

obama mocks everyone – McCain, Joe the Plumber, you, me, Pennsylvanians, Bible carriers, freedom to bear weapons, freedom of speech. However, he is for youth camps, dissolving our military defense, truth squads, welfare or distributing our income to those who make less or don't work.

    I have a question:

I see more and more posts everyday about Obama not being elgible to run for president because he supposedly is not a U.S. citizen because he was born in Kenya not Hawaii. Aside from the fact that Factcheck.org and other independant agencies have stated his Hawaiin birth certifiate is legit- wouldn't he still be a U.S. citizen, even if born outside of U.S. territory, since his mother was a U.S. citizen?

I know that if you are born on U.S. soil, whether your parents are citizens or not, you are considered a U.S. citizen. So wouldn't it make sense that the child of a U.S. citizen born in another country while their mother is vacationing would still be a citizen since their parents are?

Some one please clarify if you could. I think its a dead issue anyways since I believe he WAS born in Hawaii, but if my logic is correct then it wouldnt matter anyways.

Why with all the economic turmoil has Sen. McCain not stopped the International Republican Institutes that he chairs from collecting billions of tax payer dollars that they receive as a "non-profit" ? Nation building can wait while we rebuild our own ....

What the republicans let administration did is give a small number of americans the key to the bank and did they really think these greedy people would do the right thing, the trickle down effect has not worked and John McCain wants to continue the Bush practice of rewarding big busness for nothing.

JUST SAY NO!!!!!! Greed is a powerful addiction.
