The argument that Obama was born in Kenya is so silly and stupid, I can't believe people are falling for it. This is a lame attempt by the Republicans and anyone else to discredit Obama. So I say to New Yorker on this blog, can you prove that the birth certificate is invalid and what relatives [give me names, dates, and places] that confirm he was born in Kenya?
I guess the fact that his relatives on his mother's side of the family were there, doesn't make any difference. GET A LIFE.

I was privileged to attend Senator Obama's Reno rally this morning. Although we had to wait two and a half hours standing on our feet on a cold, wet baseball field before he took the stage, it was well worth it. The mic went out in the middle of his speech but he handled it with grace and humor and he didn't miss a beat. He also expressed his appreciation for the well wishes that people have sent to his grandmother. I felt as though I was seeing the next president evolving right before my eyes. It was an historic moment and one that I will long remember.

Yes, if your mother is a U.S. citizen, and you are born outside of the U.S., you are automatically a U.S. citizen. It is no different for John McCain who was born in Panama, born on foreign soil and still a U.S. citizen becuase his mother was.

His paternal grandmother and other family members said he was born in Kenya. you can find some info on Newsmax if you really want some facts. I wouldn't just take Factcheck.org's word. Why won't Obama's lawyers answer the lawsuit that's been filed in regard to this issue. Check out the facts from Newsmax. Looks like the only birth cert. that's been displayed was not valid, but who cares? Rah Rah for Obama anyway as far as the liberals are concerned.

Why with all the economic turmoil has Sen. McCain not stopped the International Republican Institutes that he chairs from collecting billions of tax payer dollars that they receive as a "non-profit" ? Nation building can wait while we rebuild our own ....

What the republicans let administration did is give a small number of americans the key to the bank and did they really think these greedy people would do the right thing, the trickle down effect has not worked and John McCain wants to continue the Bush practice of rewarding big busness for nothing.

I have a question:

I see more and more posts everyday about Obama not being elgible to run for president because he supposedly is not a U.S. citizen because he was born in Kenya not Hawaii. Aside from the fact that Factcheck.org and other independant agencies have stated his Hawaiin birth certifiate is legit- wouldn't he still be a U.S. citizen, even if born outside of U.S. territory, since his mother was a U.S. citizen?

I know that if you are born on U.S. soil, whether your parents are citizens or not, you are considered a U.S. citizen. So wouldn't it make sense that the child of a U.S. citizen born in another country while their mother is vacationing would still be a citizen since their parents are?

Some one please clarify if you could. I think its a dead issue anyways since I believe he WAS born in Hawaii, but if my logic is correct then it wouldnt matter anyways.

We don't need another Cowboy/Fighter Pilot as President. Honestly, I have seen enough of their "talents" over the last 8 years.

I honestly do Miss the Old McCain. A year ago I was pondering voting for him over Hillary. But McCain has fallen so far so fast that I am shocked that he could do so. I do miss the honest, steadfast, and honorable man that once was McCain.

Thankfully there is Obama, who not only is a valid alternative, but is also a man with a positive, hopeful vision of the future.
