CNN confirms: Bill Clinton to campaign with Obama

(CNN) – In yet another sign that Democrats are putting the contentious and hard-fought primary season behind them, former President Bill Clinton will campaign with Sen. Barack Obama for the first time in Florida on Wednesday, according to Matt McKenna of the Clinton Foundation.

Sen. Hillary Clinton will not attend the event but did recently campaign with Obama in Florida, a crucial battleground state that CNN currently considers a toss-up.

The Clintons also recently campaigned together with Sen. Joe Biden and Biden’s wife, Jill, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where both Joe Biden and Sen. Clinton have roots.

Obama met personally with former President Clinton in September at Clinton’s Harlem offices. Then, Clinton predicted that Obama would win in November “pretty handily.”

If Obama wins the presidency and performs poorly......if Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Frank control congress and run amok......if our deficit gets larger and the quality of life gets worse.......the Clintons will be partly to blame. As for the media......can't play nice except to say they made millions $. And China waits.

I look forward to Pres. Clinton and Sen. Obama campaigning together in Florida.

I would like to see everyone who voted for Hillary to support Obama.

I voted for Hillary and I now support Obama.

I do believe in the type of change Obama wants to introduce to America. I am very excited to vote for Obama on election day.
We were prosperous with Clinton and we can be prosperous with Obama.

Good to see, maybe, just maybe, it will squash the rumors that there is still some friction between them.

C'mon, Mr.Presidents, let's wrap it up in a nice little package. I am praying the American People are not really as stupid as they are acting. As for McFailin and her anti OBAMA antics, two words: SHOVE IT, MOOSIE. Well, that was 3.

Way to go President Clinton help us put President Obama in the White House and start the reconstruction of this country.

Years of conservative republican influence is bringing this country close to third world status and the extreme christian right wing if given enough power might put us into the next world war.

    October 25, 2008 04:15 pm at 4:15 pm |

Yes, we need the Clintons, because Mccain wants to creat wealth for the wealthy and the rich and the Exxon CEOs and the Joe Plummer of 13 cars and 7 homes.

This country is heading towards a "THIRD WORLD COUNTRY STATUS"

    Do we have to?
or Do we have to turn things around and change our economy with the best Clinton economic advisers surrounding Obama administration and campaign?

If Sen. Obama wants Florida, just make direct talk to Cuba as soon as he is in the White House. Free Cuba and he will make history.

Only 10 days before the Nov 4, Sen Obama should now promote peace and against all wars. Bring back our young soliders. Rebuild our country. He will be a global hero.

I am so surprised Sen. McCain was a POW yet he wants wars and bombs. He didn't learn his lessons or what?

President Clinton 's predication will come true.

That is one of the few smart and correct things (that Obama would win handily in November) that Bill Clinton has said in recent months.
Yeah for Bill, he finally got on the bandwagon . . . or could it be he and Hilary are indebted to Obama for Hil's helping to reduce Hil's campaign debt? Either way, I'm glad to see they are all joining forces unlike the devisive McSame camp and "rogue" Palin!
It will all be over in 10 days anyway. I predict the same outcome Bill
Clinton did. Ya know the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" . . . well, George got us twice . . . we don't want and can't afford to be fooled again! I already voted, did you? . . .

The rule here is simple– Go vote early, if your state allows it. I now confess that I voted for the Obama/Biden ticket this afternoon. It comes with such great feeling and makes up for my last vote for Bush/Chaney. I beg God's forgiveness for contributing to the failure of our nation; never vote on moral issues. God always chose leaders with Intelligence, such as King Solomon.

I really don't think it makes a difference at this point whether President Clinton campaigns with Obama or not. In my opinion he has done a splendid job of showing America that he dislikes Obama (which is understandable given that he defeated his wife in the primaries). That said I think Hillary has handled the situation with grace.

The good people of America have been fooled and even the wise are not questioning Obama on the hard core facts!!! This man is a socialist/marxist, he has had ties to the worse in our nation, and now he is going to be the President of our country?!!! Wow, this is really dooms day for America!!!!

In yet another sign that CNN has gone completely tabliod in relation to the election, they post a story "Palin: Going Rouge". In this "story" they repeatedly quote "this source" or "another campaign source". It is a thin blanket to cover a false report. It is the type of reporting The National Enquierer uses to avoid lawsuits and publish whatever fiction they want.
