I put nothing past the Republicans... they will do anything to get McCain elected..... trust me, Bush will create a situation just like the Russia/Georgia thing. RNC Purchases: No one would have cared if they had purchased 'regular' clothes instead of designer clothes. THAT is the point that seems to be overlooked. It was ill-advised to go to Neimen Marcus and
Saks to purchase expensive items and to pay $22,000 in two weeks for makeup for Ms. Palin. Is there no one in the McCain campaign who thinks clearly? They knew they'd have to put these line items in their reports. Like everything else with McCain's campaign – very poor judgment! They should have just owned up to their mistake and this whole thing would be LONG OVER!

It's not ridiculous – couldn't this money be better spent on the campaign – but I do wonder why the same attention hasn't been paid to what the other candidates are spending on their wardrobe. It sounds like not all the money wasn't spent on her but also on her family – was that necessary? The McCain campaign has limited funds so it's valid because it shows where the campaign priorities are. The bottom line – Are there other ways this money might have been better spent to help the campaign.
