(CNN)— With nine days left, a series of new battleground polls have some stark news for Sen. John McCain.
Georgia is shaping up to be a battleground state this election cycle, according to CNN's first poll of polls in the southern state.
The average of three surveys shows Sen. John McCain leading Sen. Obama by 6 points, 50 percent to 44 percent.
"McCain's six-point lead in Georgia is an extremely thin silver lining on an increasingly dark cloud for the GOP," said CNN Senior Political Researcher Alan Silverleib. "Bush carried Georgia by 17 points four years ago. The Democratic upswing in Georgia mirrors the trend in most other states across the country. It is extremely hard to see McCain coming close to 270 electoral votes on Election Night if the current poll numbers - both on the national and state level - hold for the next nine days."
The Georgia poll of polls consists of three surveys: NBC/Mason-Dixon poll conducted October 22 and 23, a Research 2000 poll conducted October 14 and 15, and a CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corporation poll conducted October 11 through 14.
Other new battleground state poll of polls show the same trend.

CNN's latest Iowa poll of polls shows Obama leading McCain by 13 points, 52 percent to 39 percent, which is a six-point increase for the Illinois senator since the last Iowa poll of polls released in late September.
In Missouri, the latest CNN poll of polls shows the two presidential nominees locked in a dead heat, 46 percent to 46 percent, for the state's 11 electoral votes.
CNN's Missouri poll of polls consists of three surveys: NBC/Mason-Dixon poll conducted October 22 to 23, Research 2000 poll conducted October 20 through 23, and a Suffolk University poll conducted October 17 through 19.
Finally, the latest New Hampshire poll of polls has Obama ahead by 10 points 52 percent to 42 percent. That is a two-point increase for the Democratic nominee since the last New Hampshire poll of polls released just last week.
There is no sampling error for any of the CNN poll of polls.

Its really about the cabnet selected hopefully whoever gets elected will be able to take control of our economy while protecting us from any more terriost attacks. McCain is the leader that other countrys will respect and fear at the same time. Some other countrys might try to pull one over on us if Obama is elected.

She ruined Wasilla and was not able to run this town without an adminastrator and left an incredible debt.She abused her power throughout her being Governor of Alaska, with troopergate and the Alaskan pipeline project.She takes credit for the Alaskan pipeline project but it started 30 years ago and the only thing she did was abuse power by having talks with companies when it was not allowed.This project will likely not happen for ten to fifteen years as she messed it up so bad.She and her husband have a long record of misconduct and her so called executive experience when looked into is very much dependant on others that she eventually stabbed in the back.She is a complete fraud when you know the facts.

I went to the Obama rally last night in Albuqueruqe, NM. It was the most diverse crowd I have ever been in: Young, old, white, black, hispanic, aisan, etc. The crowd was peacecul and energized. There were 45,000 people there. Earlier in the day, McCain was in town and brought in a whopping crowd of 1,500 and then went southern NM to a crowd of 3,500.
Supporters of Obama know that we are on the right side (As do many Republicans) and we are on the verge of electing one of the greatest leaders of our time.
The Republican party is going down in flames before our very eyes. Farewell the the party of fear, smear, intolerance, racism, and division. Hello to an era of hope, unity and a common purpose.

Well I guess a couple of questions,how come after the final votes were finally counted after the election was over eight years ago and Gore actually won Flordia by some 15,000 nothing happen?
Why are the banks being a accused of making bad loans when the indirect effect or direct effect of sending jobs over seas is more of a concrete solution to the problem.
How can you fix a problem if you don't know how it happen? In the second Presidental Debate didn't someone say we send 700 billion a year over seas each year. Why is it so difficult to pay the american people. I went to school on Nafta and my funding was cut short ,but we must stay keep killing people at all cost..

In response to Change we can make believe in: It should not be offensive to check out the candidates, but lets make sure the ones doing the checking are reporting factual information. Too many people are getting their information and forming their opinions by reading the garbage that comes across the internet in the form of emails. I am sure that both candidates have had every nook and cranny fo their exsistance checked out by now. We all need to make an informed decision when we vote. It should not be based on the media, the conservative Christian community, or the intenet junk. It should be based on the truth. There are certainly things to look for in a candidate. Intelligence, integrity, good judgment, & steadiness are very high on my list. Sen. Obama displays all of these.
I think there should be law that determines how dirty the campaigns can get at each other. its not the question of who was the first to throw it at the other, its the question of how to prevent campaigns getting dirty. comments like some parts of the country being more pro america than the other ones or similar seeds of division and hatred should not be allowed by law. without any buts, ifs, ands and ors
