I am totally amazed that the Obama supporters want higher taxes and larger government, anti-gun, and let the babys die mentality that Obama will bring to the White House if elected. Someone claimed he had a backbone of steel - well, in my day all that means is that they are one cold SOB! Well, let you all be careful about wanting those higher taxes.....as he taxes people will be loosing jobs...and as the jobs go....more will loose their houses!!!!!!! If you cannot figure out that his increased spending = higher taxes....you are just what Obama ordered - a follower and nothing more.

An Obama/Pelosi/Reid Administration will cripple America economically and in the world. Look at what the Dems have done in the last two years and the popularity rating of the Senate as we speak. If Obama becomes President the stock market will surely loose 1000 points because no one - NO ONE - wants to pay 50% tax on capital gains. NO ONE! And they will just tell you all not to worry - it will get better someday.

Jimmy, I commend you and your faith. In no way will I mock what ever your reasons are for accepting our next president.

I do hope that if/when Obama wins, you will still believe it was Gods choice for him to be president. It would be sad to think you would suddenly change your belief in the power of Gods hand when Nov 5th arrives.

Americans, regardless of the outcome....when the tally is done, we must unite behind our next president. So while I will not vote for McCain, should he be elected I will call him my President. We all must be willing to stand united once again on Nov 5th. Until then, let the dog fight, for the better, continue!

Everything on the left is one-sided in this campaign. Obama's have no trouble at all--each time McCain explains that he wants to lower taxes on corporations here (highest in the world) to encourage businesses to stay here--with Obama distorting that entirely into claims on ads that John McCain wants to lower taxes on "big oil" so they can make more excess profits, or telling everybody in speeches, "these companies haven't exported enough jobs...now John McCain wants to lower their taxes further so they can export more of your jobs..." Don't you people detect that double-talk and object to it? Or is it all just slogans with you and lies on one side?

Wake up and use your analytical powers for a little scrutiny of your own side, instead of constantly picturing all the fault on one side! I know you can't be comfortable being that intellectually lazy!!!

Why was McCain avOIding the question on social security on The Wolf Blitzer Show today. He is lying to the american people and especially our seniors.I'm sick of this maverick sideshow of his and want for him to be honest with the american people.I'm a democrat and voted for Bush his first term and I would never vote for a republican again. We need a change in this country and I beleive Obama will deliver.Whether you like him or not he has much more to offer on his change than McCain does.Obama can do it I know he can.He have held a lead far longer than any candidate I have seen in a presidential race. How much more of the last eight can we take and no matter how much McCain try to distance hisself from Bush to the he never denied he voted on his polices 90% of the time. And those of you who are saying that Obama is wrong for spreading the wealth well guess what in 2005 Mccain wanted the same he was showed a video this morning on Meet The Press on two different occasions saying that we have to spread the wealth but now he flip flops and says there was a time difference in our country so did that make him a socialist then?.Come on those of you that are undecided look what McCain is doing. He will continue on the path of Bush there is no doudt in my mind.Obama really cares about the misfortunate as he saw when he was a community organizer which was to help the less advantage.Wake up and give Obama the chance or vote McCain with the uncertainly that he will not be another GEORGE BUSH Oh and HP how can Mccain be leading Obama in 3 polls when Mccain is losing states that he should have locked up?Are you on drugs

I think there should be law that determines how dirty the campaigns can get at each other. its not the question of who was the first to throw it at the other, its the question of how to prevent campaigns getting dirty. comments like some parts of the country being more pro america than the other ones or similar seeds of division and hatred should not be allowed by law. without any buts, ifs, ands and ors

In response to Change we can make believe in: It should not be offensive to check out the candidates, but lets make sure the ones doing the checking are reporting factual information. Too many people are getting their information and forming their opinions by reading the garbage that comes across the internet in the form of emails. I am sure that both candidates have had every nook and cranny fo their exsistance checked out by now. We all need to make an informed decision when we vote. It should not be based on the media, the conservative Christian community, or the intenet junk. It should be based on the truth. There are certainly things to look for in a candidate. Intelligence, integrity, good judgment, & steadiness are very high on my list. Sen. Obama displays all of these.

AND WHAT'S WITH THE " BACK WHERE I COME FROM". IF SHE'S SO ENTHRALLED WITH HER BACKWOODS LIFE, WHY DOESN'T SHE SPARE EVERYBODY, AND MAKE A HASTY RETREAT TO HER MOOSE STAND.

Well I guess a couple of questions, how come after the final votes were finally counted after the election was over eight years ago and Gore actually won Flordia by some 15,000 nothing happen?

Why are the banks being a accused of making bad loans when the indirect effect or direct effect of sending jobs over seas is more of a concrete solution to the problem.

How can you fix a problem if you don't know how it happen? In the second Presidental Debate didn't someone say we send 700 billion a year over seas each year. Why is it so difficult to pay the american people. I went to school on Nafta and my funding was cut short ,but we must stay keep killing people at all cost..

I can see the cartoon now this grand house say the white House looks say grand in the front, but the backyard is falling apart. One day it crumbles and someone says what happen, well someone replies , you kept taking away our foundation and the house eventually failed. Now we our house is not only broke . but divided.

How do you fix it ? Go the the same plan or find a new direction. I know your still trying to get the village idiot part, lol.

You bring in a new first round draft pick .

Plenty of time...for Biden the Baffoon to screw up ..again.. Complacency..MSM says it's so..it may not be so..they've been using Putin like tactics..and it's been scary. Obama has no experience or accomplishments, can't take any criticism and when an American citizen asks a question, the MSM, acting on his behalf, illegally goes into the guys personal records. Are these the same people who complain about the Patriot Act. I am afraid that if Obama gets in we're going to end up with a Putin or Castro regime..ballot stuffing and all. Think, 90% of us work for someone else..forget new jobs for college kids, forget pay annual pay increases, if we're lucky enough not to be laid off..cause that's what it's really going to be like if those tax rates go through under your Messiah.

I went to the Obama rally last night in Albuqueruqe, NM. It was the most diverse crowd I have ever been in: Young, old, white, black, hispanic, aisan, etc. The crowd was peacecul and energized. There were 45,000 people there. Earlier in the day, McCain was in town and brought in a whopping crowd of 1,500 and then went southern NM to a crowd of 3,500.

Supporters of Obama know that we are on the right side (As do many Republicans) and we are on the verge of electing one of the greatest leaders of our time.

The Republican party is going down in flames before our very eyes. Farewell the the party of fear, smear, intolerance, racism, and division. Hello to an era of hope, unity and a common purpose.

Obama has shown the leadership to lead. McCain has shown the leadership to lose. Lost his dignity, lost his honor, and lost his mind. Sarah Palin, well, she looks nice in the clothes the tax payers bought her, but putting clothes on a pitbull doesn't make you an animal lover, it just means you like dogs!

Nine more days but who's counting. Let's all take a half step back, take a deep breath and hold on. We knew that the McCain Campaign would be rotten to the end and we know that they are going to keep their words. But if Barack and Joe can deal with it so can we. Let's keep our dignity and self-respect and the best thing to do now is get out the vote and leave this in God's hands. (however, it may not hurt for Barack and Pres. Clinton to make a short stop into PA.)

HP said
"You can thank Biden shooting at the mouth for the turnaround. He's gona pop an annurism soon. He looks like a rabid dog. Biden was the wrong VP pick for Obama's inexperience…."

Um, did you even read the article? This "turnaround" that you are blaming Biden for is actually changing Georgia from what was clearly a red state to a possible battleground state! A lesson in reading comprehension may be in order for you (as well as spelling).

Here is some more stark news for McCain. He would know this if he vetted Palin. She ruined Wasilla and was not able to run this town without an adminastrator and left an incredible debt. She abused her power throughout her being Governor of Alaska, with troopergate and the Alaskan pipeline project. She takes credit for the Alaskan pipeline project but it started 30 years ago and the only thing she did was abuse power by having talks with companies when it was not allowed. This project will likely not happen for ten to fifteen years as she messed it up so bad.She and her husband have a long record of misconduct and her so called executive experience when looked into is very much dependant on others that she eventually stabbed in the back. She is a complete fraud when you know the facts.

I have to agree with S. Smith
Bad timing on McCains behalf
and Ms. Palin is turning out to be
not so good of a choise for a running mate.

I don't agree alot with Obamas views but the economy is the strong point on this election. While keeping our country safe should be just as equal. Its really about the cabnet selected hopefully whoever gets elected will be able to take control of our economy while protecting us from any more terriost attacks. McCain is the leader that other countrys will respect and fear at the same time. Some other countrys might try to pull one over on us if Obama is elected.

PLEASE GO VOTE!

McCain is out of control, he is together with Ms palin a very bad ticket. This Lady gets annoyed with everything, if it is now, How it will be if they are elected?
in response to jimmy i have nothing bad to say about palin faith, but the bible teaches love, not going after another person as a pit bull because he made us in his image. scripture says judge not for ye shall be judged. i can only ask that you read psalms 27cpt the lord is my light and my salvation whom shall i fear. because mccain/palin has been working on folks fears, i thrust in good to battle for me and he will give america what it needs the blessings seen and unseen. obama/biden 08.

McCain has been quoted stating that Obama considered Ayers just a guy in the neighborhood. When in fact Obama did not use the word 'just".

How can allow these outrageous lies by McCain to stand?

A 150 thousand dollar attired so called "Hockey Mom" running the greatest nation on earth in these very perilous, dangerous times...are you kidding me? She is a heartbeat away from the presidency with a running mate in his 70's with a long history of cancer.....Palin is a symbol of all that is wrong with America....religion first and the hell with common sense.....Have we no shame? The world is watching, mouth agape, that the most powerful country on the planet would even consider putting a person of such low intellect on the ticket with the possibility of becoming president should McCain have a medical crisis......wake up America for Heaven's sake!!

Look at the shots of mccain and palin, where are the mccain/palin signs. There are no indications of party unity. Are they each running against the other.

I think this alone adds to the rumors that there are problems in house. Also, I have noticed that the cameras stop showing the size of their crowds. No more braging about or disagreements over crowd size.
palin is political trash. The gop used mccain, who is losing his faculties.

Are McCain and Palin delusional? I can understand McCain having some mental lapses at his age, but does Palin really think that if she keeps repeating the same lies they will come true? Competitive on key states? Annoyed at Katie Couric for not asking her questions about the economy and national security? Did any of the people there not watch the interviews? Do they do the same thing as her and watched it with the volume off? Is this a lost Twilight Zone episode?

I have never seen so much squabbling, mudslinging and corruption from a party like the Re'lics until now. If they can't hold their own party together, just HOW are they supposed to run the White House? Let it go Mccain. Your MAJOR mistake WAS agreeing (with the help of Limbaugh & Family) to allow Palin to get on a springboard to set herself up above you and run in 2012. DO YOU FEEL USED?

What's wrong with "Socialism". This fair city has had 3 socialist mayors in the last 100 years. It's a great town! Clean streets, great lake front parks. Hard working. The only problems we've had are when Republican administrations are in Washington. My only problem with Obama is he's not Socialist enough. We'll fix that in 4 years when the American Socialist party is ready to win the election. Then Obama..WATCH OUT!

i'm really upset and disgusted with the mailings i've received from the RNC. even though i;m a democrat, i used to think mc cain was an honorable man. from the DNC i received a form to request an absentee ballot. the only political message was a request to vote for senator obama.

the 1st piece from the RNC i threw out. now i get one that talks about the ayers connection. on the front is sen. obama's picture with a quote "i don't regret setting bombs. i feel we didn't do enough" (NY Times 9/11/01) the ad's composition makes you think it is obama's quote. i highly doubt it!

the hatred for obama is so blatant i'm really worried that if mc cain wins the KKK's Grand LIZARD might be appointed to head the new Commitee for Non-WASP Control.

in the old days, politians at least gave the appearance of being honorable men. this whole campaign has forgotten to be decent and to focus on issues. how sad for America.

The GOP needs to hire McKinsey or some top caliber consulting firm to figure how the hell they can do a total facelift of their outdated philosophies and intellectually bankrupt party. Quite simply, they are outdated and out of touch... a cold war party in a post cold war era.

The only possible way for them to steal the election (something they know a thing or 2 about), is for them stage another catastrophic national security crisis (and they also know a thing or 2 about that..!)

Being an animal lover, I am truly sorry that Palin will return to Alaska, and slaughter the moose, once again. I'm sure they have enjoyed their reprieve, but, all this will come to an end, and once again, she and Todd will kill lovely animals, ride their snow machines around the pristine areas, polluting them as they drive by, and pull off a gun shot wedding, for two teens, who will be missing some of the best times in their life, and we will forget who the heck she was.

VOTE 08...OBAMA / BIDEN for sanity, again

These polls are all wrong! EVERYONE I TALK TO IS VOTING FOR JOHN MCCAIN because of what Sarah Palin brings to the ticket. She is just so elegent and truly proud of America! She represents real American values . . . I just think a lot of people are afraid to say they are voting for McCain because it seems to be popular to say you are voting for Barack Hussain Obama.
She is the true Pit Bull hockey mom against socialist liberal ideas and she will be president one day! MARK MY WORD!
