I'm an Obama supporter and think this paper is ridiculous. Wow. They couldn't wait for the next edition? The editor needs to be fired. Yesterday. No responsible journalist would allow such a headline a week prior to the election. (probably trying to get a little attention for a little newspaper more than they are trying to report anything accurate, it seems...)

I am sure that McCain thinks the fundamentals of his campaign are sound. Problem is his campaign has been lying to us for so long that he is starting to believe his own BS.
That being said the three keys to the race are 1. voter turnout, 2.voter turnout and 3. voter turnout. Despite everything W has done 28% of those surveyed still like him. If only half the people vote that 28% is equal to a McCain Landslide. If 60% vote than Obama squeaks by. If we can push turnout closer to 70% then it is Obama who gets the landslide. It is simple math. That is why we have to get every vote we can for Obama. And it is also why the Republicans are trying so hard to turn off the electorate with their negative attacks. The only way they win is if enough of us stay home. Don't let them do it.

And if this happens, then America truly loses.

In their desire to be the first to announce that Obama will win or (Obama Wins) is not in keeping with the principals of good journalism in my opinion, but I am a journalist or newspaper man, although I did build the biggest newspaper building in a city of 200,000 people.
They could have said they would predict that Obama will win. I am old enough to know that when you go out on a limb someone may and very well could cut it off and I never learn to fly and neither did the editor or publisher of this paper.

I'm not exactly sure I'd call this publication a "news"paper. This is just another indicator of how pathetic traditional media have become. Unfortunately, the contemporary media aren't much better.

My sister lives in New Mexico, and although she used to be a resident of California, she has changed her address and registered to vote in a swing state in her first election because - for the first time ever - she cares about politics. If I had to print a newspaper 2 weeks in advance I probably would have strongly hinted at an Obama win. But I would not have made that my prediction. But if everybody goes out and vote (that hasn't already) I very sure that headline will come true.

OK a few things...First, I don't like the newspaper printing this early. Being a baseball player, this is just bad luck. Second, will the conservatives please stop blaming the media for everything? Third, will you people please learn how to spell? Every comment section on this website is riddled with mistakes. Proper grammar and spelling is how we show respect for our fellow human beings. I find it telling that a vast majority of those mistakes are made by McCain/Palin supporters. But look, no matter who wins we all really have to start working together, show a little respect and care for our fellow Americans. Honestly, it starts with the basics. Before we post to websites, let's use a little spell-check.

However, I'll try again since CNN would let me point out JFK's flaws due to inexperience because JFK was raised by Biden as a case for inexperience being OK. JFK flunked his first test – the Bay of Pigs. Had he succeeded there, there would have been no need for the Cuban Blockade which brought the world to the brink of nuclear war in 1962. Inexperience put us needlessly in real danger – which fortunately JFK worked out of. We don't need that kind of inexperienced mistake today. We might not be that lucky again.

As much as I would like for it to be so, I think it's a bit premature to announce Obama as the winner. Democrats have a way of messing things up – just consider the last 2 presidential elections, for example. The surest way to make sure Obama wins is for all the Obama & Obama-leaning supporters to get out and VOTE! Voting is the only way to make sure an Obama presidency becomes a reality. I am a 47 year Old White Male and an Independent minded voter. I have just watched perhaps the most incredible closing argument speech of my generation.
Barack Obama just gave a speech the rivals perhaps the best of King and JFK combined. While I have always been proud to be an American, Obama delivered a speech that made me ‘more proud’ to be an American than at any time in my life with his message of Unity and hope. While I had not made up my mind in this election I have to admit that as of TODAY, I will proudly support Barack Obama because I now feel that He truly supports ‘We The People’.

Since we're not able to comment on the McCain rally speech claiming Mr. Obama as "Barack the Redistributor"...look closely at the Obama quotation. It talks about redistributing politics and power- as in, give everyone a voice. It talks about community organizing-as in, get everyone involved, not just the Washington elite.
These comments are arguably subject to interpretation, but taking that interpretation to extremes for political gain is propaganda meant to control with fear.
As a fellow "community organizer" these principles are commonplace. Not controlling wealth or power-which is what McCain seems to be hell bent on keeping with himself and cronies- but reforming a system in which all people have a voice, are considered, and undivided. There is nothing socialist or Marxist about it- I believe the correct term for a government representative of all its people is DEMOCRACY!

The New Mexico Sun is the first newspaper who not only endorsed BO but also announced him the winner. I am certain that the win margin will be 56% Barack Obama and 39% McCain overall. I believe the New Mexico Sun's prediction.

I find this news 'stunt' worrisome. The fact is, no matter what you may read on CNN.com or anywhere else, this is going to be a close election. As we all know, voting-place shenanigans can play a major role in deciding close elections. If anybody thinks that Barack Obama is shoe-in on November 4th, they need to wake up and smell the coffee. As long as Karl Rove is still walking the Earth, Obama can still lose.

Wow, two years and this thing is coming to a close. I feel like this is everyones time to reflect on things that happened. One of my major questions is what was J.Mccain doing for that 4months that the Dems were fighting it out. if he wanted Palin then, pick her, take her to secret location and prep her to be the best thing ever. bUT THat didn't happen, J.Mccain was doing god-knows-what, and now Obama will win this thing. Obama will win b.c in picking Palin, someone so to the extreme right of the republican party, J.Mccain, showed himself as a typical repub. In a time when the conuntry wanted change, J.mc chose the status quo.

The country would rather turn to an "inexperienced" Junior senator than have the next 4yrs look like the last 8yrs. Indeed this is incredibly true and the final say will awaking the whole world on Nov 5th. I've had this dream several time for Obama been the USA first Black President since he started campaigning. Sure we all are happy if this dream finally comes true.
