McCain: Don’t buy reports of GOP ticket friction

McCain and Palin rallied together today in Pennsylvania.

McCain and Palin rallied together today in Pennsylvania.

HERSHEY, Pa. (CNN) – John McCain unofficially declared this fair city a diva-free zone Tuesday.

In his first joint rally with running mate Sarah Palin since tension between their aides spilled into public view, McCain opened his remarks by declaring, “By the way, when two mavericks get together, you don’t agree on everything – but that’s fun!”

McCain has previously made similar comments at rallies about how he and Palin do not agree on everything, such as drilling for oil and gas in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (McCain opposes, Palin supports).
But this time the comment had particular resonance with a large crowd here in Pennsylvania, coming just days after a McCain adviser privately charged to CNN that Palin is a “diva” who’s not staying on-message, while Palin advisers fired back that McCain aides botched her rollout to the American people.

McGimmick said “By the way, when two mavericks get together, you don’t agree on everything – but that’s fun!” Well, gosh darn it I certainly don't think that will be fun when we're fighting 2 wars, have strained international relations, almost 1 milion people losing their jobs (myself included), a domestic and global economic crisis, and your ticket is trying to divide the American people through fear and racial hatred, and you think it's fun to be mavericky and run our country further into the ground. Get Obama's quote right to Sam Wurterbureger and stop using Joe the Plumber – his name isn't even Joe and he ain't even a plumber. Get a brain! We've had it with you and Bush and Rove. We bought your bull in 2000 and 2004, but not in 2008.

OK. We will forget that for a week there have been hordes of aids and volunteers jumping ship, pointing fingers, and name-calling. We will just ignore the fact that resumes from those in your campaign have been mailed all over the US.

I'll say about him what I say about Obama. If he runs this country the way he has run his campaign....(fill in your own conclusion here).

Okay. And I won't buy reports of you cutting spending, too. When was the last republican president who was a fiscal conservative? No reason to think McCain will be, either.

Repubs, remember yourselves and act with the comportment we expect from each other .

McCain and Palin don't always agree? Really? That must mean they can think! Two individual candidates, two sets of brain cells–what a concept. Based on the comments here, obviously a bit above the grasp of some folks.

The only reason Palin/McCain are back stumping together is because she can't stay on message and he can't tolerate it. His temper won't let him!...ha~...they are 2 stooges. The repeat themselves over and over.....they still look at their notes...why?...they shuld have it memorized by now! Palin says she thinks her "rollout" was mishandled and yet she wasd the one answers the "hard questions"....she is not qualified. McCain is not presidential material.

One word for McCain: Denial! Friction is building between them, he just doesn't want to admit it publicly even when his aides already revealed it.

  21. The Voice

What? You think he is going to actually admit that Palin is already campaigning for 2012. Even though she has no chance of winning.

By the way, her $150k wardrobe will pay for 4 Joe Plummer yearly salaries.

    The Republicans are a joke.

    Democrats in 08!

I cannot believe that Sarah Palin expects Americans to believe she didn't want those clothes–she's just sorry she got caught. She could have refused them–and for her family too. She talks about accountability but when the shoe is on her foot, she rejects accountability.

This financial crisis was completely preventable. The party that blocked any attempt to prevent it was ... the Democratic
Party. The party that tried to prevent it was ... the Republican Party.

It's amazing what corrupt liars the democrats are and how ignorant the democrat voters are who believe them.
