HERSHEY, Pa. (CNN) – John McCain unofficially declared this fair city a diva-free zone Tuesday.
In his first joint rally with running mate Sarah Palin since tension between their aides spilled into public view, McCain opened his remarks by declaring, “By the way, when two mavericks get together, you don’t agree on everything – but that’s fun!”
McCain has previously made similar comments at rallies about how he and Palin do not agree on everything, such as drilling for oil and gas in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (McCain opposes, Palin supports).
But this time the comment had particular resonance with a large crowd here in Pennsylvania, coming just days after a McCain adviser privately charged to CNN that Palin is a “diva” who’s not staying on-message, while Palin advisers fired back that McCain aides botched her rollout to the American people.
Ok, Palin is trying to take over McCain campaign look at the both out of touch with American, campaign adviser, stylist, wardrobe adviser,
I thought president and VP should be on the same agenda....
Palin is out for herself
You know, this election is getting real real old. This is so full of inuendo, lies, and artificial exchanges, I can't take it anymore.
Barack, in my "Humble" opinion, is trying to take a high road while the McCain campaign keeps driving the negative. I'm also a proud veteran who knows that honor is very important in one's life. I fear that Mr. McCain has lost his honor, and is selling out, for the sake of winning this election. I am very dissapointed in this candidate.
Today, I have decided to vote for Obama. And, thank G-d, that's my FINAL ANSWER!!
PAUL – LOL that was a good one!
I've been watching some of McCain's rallys and he looks pissed. Was a McCain supporter, but he's not the same McCain. Voted for Obama.
"We didn't really breakup".
Of course he will deny it, just like he has denied supportin Bush 90% of the time. Giving more tax breaks to the rich has not produced any jobs in the last 8 years, it simply gave the CEO's bigger buy-out packages. What jobs there were, they shipped to India or China. Let's get the republicans out of there NOW!
Just like in the Wizard of Oz....ignore the man behind that curtain!!
Fist of all John McCain is a Sidekick not a Maverick and who care they get to go back home in just 8 more days and we don'at have to listen to their lies..
But the honeymoon is over.
What else is he gonna say? "Yeah I can't stand her..I wish I could have a do-over"....
Seriously..lol
No, don't buy it, they ARE still losing, they have NO cohesiveness, she goes off the reservation as often as she gets her hair done...yep, solid as a rock....NOT!!!
OBAMA/BIDEN '08 & '12 YES WE CAN WITH UNITY AND CANDIDATES WHO CAN THINK FOR THEMSELVES!
Who cares nobody can stand the sight or the sound of either of you. Just go away.
Am I the only one confused by the adoration and praise lavished on Palin by the McCain campaign, patricularly female advisors. Watching Lary King last night (as well as previous nights) I had to wonder if the two ladies on his panel were talking about he Sarah Palin or some other person no one has yet met. It's a little sickening how these people fawn over her as if she were the answer ot all of Americas myriad troubles.
How is it that she ( a womand that can not even pronounce ing words properly) be trusted to lead the country.
The two Maverick's....are we sick of hearing that yet...yes...yes...yes!!
I find it rather funny how McCain wants Ted Stevens to step down because of Stevens being found guilty.....and yet here McCain still is "palling around " with Sarah who was also found guilty last week!!!
There seems to be some kind of disconnect there wouldn't you say?
McCain and Palin are definately in a world of their own.....breaking the law apparently does not make a jot of difference to them and Sarah has the nerve to talk about corruption in Washington...HELLO!!!
If this country needs the likes of those two then we need to start selling ice to the Eskimo's!!!!
If you haven' voted yet get out and do so quickly.....we need to vote for someone who has principles, morals and good judgement and who can be trusted to run this country honestly.
Enough of McPalin we don't need their kind administration....we have just had 8 years of it thanks but no thanks.
OBAMA/BIDEN 08
Let them continue to bring negative attention to themselves. This guy is clearly not in control of his campaign. It really has little to do with Palin although she is scary in her own right. It is the extreme right which has hijacked his campaign and put McCain on the dishonorable path he is on. John McCain has sold out and he is paying for it every day. The fact that Palin is on his ticket makes it worse because she is incapable of doing anything other than reiterate the conservative talking points. Look at all the pathetic gimmickry they have been using over the past few weeks. They tried Ayres, Joe the Plumber, Socialism, Marxism. They will try anything. Get ready, in the next few days they will come up with something else.
I think they look and sound ridiculous with this constant rhetoric of smear and fear. They offer the Ameican public nothing in terms of substance, direction or ideals. This is why they are losing and deservedly so.
We really don't want to buy anything you are selling Sen. McRage....however, any blind man can see that there is absolutely no natural chemistry between you and Gov. Phallin. I also notice that she ALWAYS quickly escape from you hugs and embrace.....you are not fooling anyone!
Also, in response to Cambell Brown's piece, the word Diva has its root in the word divine. It is related to ancient femine gods~ pre-Christian. I see this as not so much a sexist remark, because it is such an old (ancient, archaic) world word, but one that Palin may fit into just by mean of her ego and her untouchable attitude. But it belittles the word itself, not Palin. Palin is an outrageous little pissant who is out of control and whetted with the taste of power, however fleeting ti may be and let's hope it is. And McCain in his last ditch effort to win brought about his failure with her as his running mate. Let's hope he had a few moments of bliss with her by his side as often he looks like a giddy school buy.
This woman is scary
Lol yeh right why do u lie john u know sarah palin is dragging u down mavericks yeh ok
John Mccain is like the Captain of the Titanic as he too was clueless that his ship was sinking. To make matters worse, Sarah Palin is already sitting in one of the lifeboats with her life jacket on!!!
Vicky the Voter:
I am wondering if they had a "Popeye the Sailor" sign.

I'm so sick of hearing about Mavericks, I'm going to write Mark Cuban and ask that he change the name of the local NBA team.
Here is a little fact-check for those who are still undecided:

2- Education
Obama: Graduate level IV league education, Harvard law school.
McCain: Undergraduate education, low level and mediocre education, Annapolis.
