McCain: Don’t buy reports of GOP ticket friction

McCain and Palin rallied together today in Pennsylvania.

McCain and Palin rallied together today in Pennsylvania.

HERSHEY, Pa. (CNN) – John McCain unofficially declared this fair city a diva-free zone Tuesday.

In his first joint rally with running mate Sarah Palin since tension between their aides spilled into public view, McCain opened his remarks by declaring, “By the way, when two mavericks get together, you don’t agree on everything – but that’s fun!”

McCain has previously made similar comments at rallies about how he and Palin do not agree on everything, such as drilling for oil and gas in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (McCain opposes, Palin supports).
But this time the comment had particular resonance with a large crowd here in Pennsylvania, coming just days after a McCain adviser privately charged to CNN that Palin is a “diva” who’s not staying on-message, while Palin advisers fired back that McCain aides botched her rollout to the American people.

We do buy the confirmed sources indicating there is friction in the McCain campaign.

We do buy the confirmed sources that senior paid McCain staffers have been floating their resumes for months now.

And we do buy the confirmed sources indicating that the entire Joe the Plumber fiasco was all fake from the beginning.

    What a weak campaign!

If he declared the fair a "diva-free" zone, didn't Palin have to leave?

We are so over the John and Sarah Show. It started running stale when we got a whiff of her doings in Alaska, and then when McCain made believe he new and approved of everything anyway. The clothes bit, the hair and makeup bit, the name-calling/-labelling of their rivals all left a bitter stink.

She does not trust you and yours, John, and now isn't trusted herself. You are making an old fool of yourself.

WASHINGTON — Millions of homeowners facing foreclosure got a bucket of ice water in the face from Senator John McCain March 25.“The mess you are in is your own fault. Don’t expect any bailouts from me.” That was the GOP presidential nominee’s message, stripped of election-year rhetoric.

Speaking to small business owners in Los Angeles, an epicenter of the housing crisis, McCain said, “It is not the duty of government to bail out and reward those who act irresponsibly whether they are big banks or small borrowers.”

Wow, thats a perfect comment to lose even more votes than you already have!! "were both mavericks and we sometimes don't get along, thats the fun part?" what is fun about that!?!? That your campaign is a complete organized mess? That you and your VP know NOTHING about each other and you don't even agree on half the things? What a joke, go back to Alaska Palin and John, I think its time you retire.

Mccain is just not willing to tell the truth. Plain and Mccain do not just "not agree' they do not get along, period! we need a president and VP that have good chemistry and these two just don't. No personality clashes, no budding heads, no power struggles. We need their focus to be on one thing and one thing only, the economy!
Mccain is just dying to get PA, but PA people are too smart to give another 4 years to the BUSH/MCCAIN way of thinking!

I find this hard to believe. The Obama camp would NEVER put out negative information on McCain, and the media would never put there sole focus on all things negative to McCain. OH NO! I've become delusional, just like an Obama supporter. Before I know it I'll be believing that Obama's tax plan will help all Americans, that he really didn't know about Bill Ayers, that he really wasn't in the pews for Wright's sermons. I'll start to believe that the best way to make America safe is to cut and run.

No, try as much as I can, I could never be that dumb.

  13. I said Thanks, but No Thanks to another 4 years of g.o.p. corruption, arrogance and incompetence

McCain let himself be ruled by Dobson, Hannity and Rush. They told him pick Palin or we will disrupt the g.o.p. convention. McCain, the maverick, gambler folded and the result is he is about to suffer the biggest loss the Rushpublicans have endured since 1964.

Palin is more than a Diva, she's a grifter, a con artist , just like "Joe the Partisan". Many Americans are her willing marks.

"By the way, when two mavericks get together, you don’t agree on everything – but that’s fun!”

No, Sen. McCain, we, the American people, don't think having two mavericks running around flipping, flopping and making things up as they go is fun at all! We find it very scary!

We prefer steady leadership that can bring people together to fix the mess we are currently in.
