Palin will return to Alaska on Election Day.

STATE COLLEGE, Pennsylvania (CNN) - Sarah Palin will return to her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska to vote on Election Day, a campaign adviser tells CNN.

Palin plans to leave the campaign trail next Monday night to fly to Anchorage, and will then drive to Wasilla to cast her vote before returning to the lower 48 to spend election night with John McCain in Phoenix.

“Home is where Gov. Palin launched her career in public service and it's fitting that she return to Alaska to vote,” the adviser said. “She's looking forward to traveling to Wasilla to cast her ballot.”

As of ten days ago, Palin was unsure where she would be on November 4.

“We don't know what the plan will be yet on there,” she told reporters on her campaign plane earlier this month. “If I'm not there physically we will be applying for that absentee ballot and we'll do the early voting there. Yeah. And we'll do it fairly.”

John McCain has served our state well. He has my vote.

Vets for McCain   October 28th, 2008 8:45 pm ET

McCain is an honorable man, deserving to be President of this great country. Country First. That's something young people have a hard time understanding. Except for those fighting so honorably in our military right now.

If we have to get out of Iraq, and then go into Iran and Afganistan – then McCain is the man to do this. This is no time for training wheels.

I bet she votes Obama, she doesn't want this overwhelming position responsibility.

Barb, Nantuckett   October 28th, 2008 8:44 pm ET

In 2012, without the albatross of McCain hanging around her neck, Sarah Palin will run for President and win. Obama's move towards socialism and then communism will be rejected by the American people and he will either be impeached or not re-elected.

Independent for Palin   October 28th, 2008 8:44 pm ET

Go McCain-Palin. You'll win come Nov 4th. I know it.

Bruce   October 28th, 2008 8:44 pm ET

She should stay there. And Alaska voters should question if the price of having her antagonistic, unethical and self-serving politics and the image that she has cast upon the state and the lost tourism income which will result were really worth the rebate check. I don't think Alaska residents will really want her to be the spokesperson for their great state.

I believe that Alaska is a beautiful state that people from the US and around the globe should want to visit and experience. Sarah Palin is an ugly and predjudiced face for that great state. How many tourists who may have planned and dreamed to see the glaciers, mountains and pristine wilderness parks have been told that they are not true Americans and will not feel welcome in Alaska.

Alaska, please tell us she was wrong and that Alaskan's want all Americans to feel safe and welcome in your state.

MarylouSC   October 28th, 2008 8:43 pm ET

Even Sarah palin is voting for OBAMA.

David   October 28th, 2008 8:43 pm ET

you're spending how much to fly to Alaska to vote and then back to the lower 48. What a waste of donation/taxpayer money. Maybe an absentee ballot would be a good idea. Good start Palin.Your vote won't matter. Its a useless cause.

O8AMA/Biden

Point of no return... a bridge to no where.

mike the restaurant employee from toledo   October 28th, 2008 8:42 pm ET

What is up with this woman's speech patterns? She is very hard to understand most times.

“We don't know what the plan will be yet on there, If I'm not there physically we will be applying for that absentee ballot and we'll do the early voting there. Yeah. And we'll do it fairly."

Is she implying that it is not 'fair' elsewhere? and if so, where?

Anthony   October 28th, 2008 8:42 pm ET

Theres no way on earth Im going to be the only one saying "I HOPE SHE STAYS THERE"...

Hannah Stevens   October 28th, 2008 8:42 pm ET

I hope she stays there. I have heard they are not all that keen on her three either. What a huge mistake for McCain to choose someone as inexperienced as she was. He rallied his base, but lost all others. Really poor planning. And that is another reason he is not ready to lead.

PaulD   October 28th, 2008 8:42 pm ET

I bet she will vote for Obama; just to make sure McCain doesnt win, which makes her chances for 2012 a whole lot better.

Call me a cynic.

So what?

Tired of McCain/Palin   October 28th, 2008 8:41 pm ET

Please Palin do us all a favor and stay in Alaska. I hope she get's impeached for abuse of power because Palin and her dog racing husband destroyed Monegan's life.

DK_Missouri   October 28th, 2008 8:41 pm ET

Please Sara, no offense but stay in Alaska after election. You do not represent majority CONSERVATIVE'S.

Accountant Guy   October 28th, 2008 8:41 pm ET

Maybe they will arrest her then for abusing her power and being unethical, and we won't have to worry about seeing her again!! Get out and Barack the Vote America!!

Pete   October 28th, 2008 8:41 pm ET

She should vote in all states she visits, just like the Obama campaign workers.

Gary   October 28th, 2008 8:41 pm ET

Maybe she can vote to re-elect Ted Stevens, seeing as Sen Stevens can no longer vote for himself as a convicted felon.

Ed, Santa Fe, NM   October 28th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

Gee too bad her $600M highway isn't built. yet.. she could get home faster.

Let's hope we never hear of her again after next Tuesday.... What a loser.

Ghost   October 28th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

Why doesn't she just stay up there and leave us alone?

Remember to get out and VOTE Nov. 4th it is the only poll that counts!

I think Palin should stay in Alaska after she votes. I believe that she will be keping her day job as Governor of Alaska. It was good while it lasted! Thank but no thanks! she is much too negative, much too dumb.

Now tell me why are people still voting for McCain and Palin?

KLEE   October 28th, 2008 8:34 pm ET

fly away little bird – & vote OBAMA/BIDEN 2008

John   October 28th, 2008 8:34 pm ET

Sarah should very seriously consider staying up there in Alaska since she has proven that she knows very little about what is happening down here in the lower 48.

Joyce   October 28th, 2008 8:34 pm ET

I'm not sure she knows where she is now.

Kristina, Seattle   October 28th, 2008 8:33 pm ET

Haha.... well she needs every vote she can get.

chelle in Fla   October 28th, 2008 8:33 pm ET

she should go to Alaska and STAY there!

Gia in Los Angeles, CA   October 28th, 2008 8:33 pm ET

Turnabout is fair play   October 28th, 2008 8:29 pm ET

For the love of God, STAY THERE!!! I hope that after she lands safely and she goes to vote, that her plane breaks down and that they can't get her back to McLame through the weekend.

John in VA   October 28th, 2008 8:28 pm ET

That's thoughtful of her to go back to Arizona to be with McCain when he reads his concession speech. This whole thing will be over by 11pm EST.
