McCain is losing his lead in certain key states.
McCain is losing his lead in certain key states.

(CNN)—With just five days before Election Day, a string off polls suggest John McCain still has his work cut out for him in some battleground states.

CNN’s latest Indiana poll of polls shows Sen. John McCain leading Sen. Barack Obama by one point, 47 percent to 46 percent. That’s one point narrower than the last Poll of Polls in the traditionally Republican state showing McCain leading Obama 48 to 46 percent.

Yesterday, CNN changed its electoral map for the state of Indiana from leaning toward McCain to a toss up between the two presidential candidates.

In Minnesota, where the Republicans held their convention, Obama is trumping McCain by 15 points, 54 percent to 39 percent. The margin was not as large in the last poll of polls which showed Obama ahead by 13 points as of October 23.

A new Wisconsin poll of polls also shows the Democratic Nominee ahead of the Republican nominee by 12 points, 53 percent to 41 percent.

While both candidates are working to remind voters the race is far from over, CNN Senior Political Researcher Alan Silverleib suggests the latest poll averages in Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin “are another indication of Obama’s apparent strength in the closing days of this campaign.”

“Obama is now clearly within striking distance in Indiana –- a state no Democrat has won since 1964. It’s virtually impossible to see how McCain wins the White House without Indiana’s 11 electoral votes. At the same time, any hopes the Republicans had of swiping Minnesota or Wisconsin from the Democratic column this year appear to be just about gone.”

Because the poll of poll findings are based on an average of polls conducted in Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin, there is no sampling error.

John McCain keep Joe the Plummer with his dumb profile campaigning with you and I hope that everyone can see how dumb you are and also how pathetic Palin is to allow such a freak show.

McCain concede and give Obama Presidency Please. We need to fix this country now and not wait another 4 years of George Bush.

Indianapolis Star is reporting that Obama is ahead in their poll. 45.9% verses 45.3% so looks like Obama is talking Indy! McCain had been losing his lead here for a week now and it losing ground fast.

And now he has Joe The Plumber campaigning with him, who now has a publicist, a forthcoming book (!!!) and may or may not become a country singer. What about the plumbing business Joe, since this is how this whole issue started, have you abandoned that for good?

Ever notice when you hear McSame or Palin speak and they start telling you what they are going to do, but they never say how they are going to do it. Ever notice that their ideas sound a whole lot like Obama's.

Ever notice that if theyre lilps are moving, they are lying.

In the CNN electoral map, Arizona should be changed from "safe McCain" to "leaning McCain".

There are 3 different polls released in the last couple of days which suggest the race in Arizona is getting closer:

A poll released Tuesday by Arizona State University has McCain ahead by just 2 points.
A poll released today by NBC has McCain ahead by 4 points (within the margin of error).
The poll relelased today by CNN has McCain ahead by 7 points.

Last but not least, the McCain campaign is now running robocalls in Arizona, which clearly indicates that the state is no longer "safe" for McCain.

Tony   October 30th, 2008 10:52 am ET

*LOL* Wisconsin and Michigan are not battleground states. McCain hasn't include them in his victory strategy for months. Which Obama campaign spokesman wrote this, CNN?

And yes, there ARE margins of error in these polls. Taking polls with a margin of error and averaging them all together doesn't magically eliminate the error. Polls really are just a tool for campaigns and biased media nowadays. Luckily for America, the only poll that matters is the general election, and the campaigns and the biased media have no control over that.

John Mccain made a pact with the devil how else did he make it through the primaries without any real policies......but i guess he never heard the saying...you make a pact with the devil only he comes out ahead.....you see he may have luckily won the primaries but its gonna cost him the election......sorry lightning doesnt strike twice~!!!

Capitalist, you are just like the extremely wealthy of this country, i.e. the Bushes, McCains-it's all about money with you. Forget about your country and the less fortunate. And the Republicans claim to be such devout Christians. Well, as a devout Christian, I'm afraid I don't understand any of you. I am, and have been, working all my life. I'm fortunate enough that I've never had to receive "government hand-outs". But I certainly have no objection to paying taxes in order for my government to help those less fortunate. I thought that is what America and Christianity was all about.

Beyond the Hype:

if I have to post on this website that your alleged "quotes" have already been disproved by every non-partisan fact checking organization I am going to puke. Get over it and educate yourself. D@MN! What is wrong with you. Conservatives say welfare folks don't want to get jobs b/c it's easier to sit around and get a government check, well, I say conservatives don't want to educate themselves b/c it's easier to sit around a believe lies rather than do a tiny bit of research to discover the truth.

If we elect McCain and Palin, the entire world will see us for what we have become – uneducated, unable to see what is in our own best interests, and, get this, afraid. You think we are in danger now? Wait until the world sees that we are so easily overcome by fear that we elect a dangerous duo to the White House. We will be attacked from every side, terrorism like we have never imagined, all because they know we are afraid.

CNN, if you are going to continue to repeat the lies and misstatements of the McCain/Palin campaign, could you at least report on something of substance? Such as Palin's family ties to the AIP and McCain's friendship with Liddy? I know that Liddy did his time in prison, but once released he did not reform. He informed his radio listeners how to shoot federal law enforcement officers and, while working for Nixon, hatched plans to bomb buildings. He is and was dangerous and he is a friend of McCain. If you truly want to be unbiased and report all sides, then start doing so. As of now, I am watching MSNBC because they are what you say you are.

THE WATCHER   October 30th, 2008 10:43 am ET

The closer we get to Tuesday, the nastier this blog gets. Some of you are actually saying that if Obama is elected America will be ruined? Wow!!!

Will the Real Maverick Please Stand Up?   October 30th, 2008 10:42 am ET

Well, let's see…the McCain/Palin campaign has been erratic, angry, flip-flopping, hateful, socially divisive, lying, distorting, extremist, unable to put together any coherent message/vision for the road they plan for this nation.

They have offered and continue to offer nothing. Zero. Zilch.

What does McCain bring to the table? 'Obama this', 'Obama that', 'That One'. Not one policy, plan or vision.

Oh…they brought 'Joe the Plumber', 'Tito the Builder', slanders of 'socialism', 'he was hanging out with washed up terrorists', 'he was hanging out with an Arab', sleaze, slander…lies.

Palin? All she has to offer is her religious extremism, corruption, ignorance and her idiocy.

No John, you don't have what it takes to rule this grand nation. You never did and never will.

'I'm not George Bush!' He says. Well 92% of you is.

You have sold your soul, dignity and honor for so little.

Go Away little man. You are not worthy.

Edwina   October 30th, 2008 10:42 am ET

In a final effort to put 'country first,' friends, McCain should turn a page on this disgraceful epilogue to his political career. He should start building bridges and stop fabricating things. If he wins, he will inherit a huge mess and he will need to reach across party lines to fix it. if he loses, which he just might, he and his supporters will need to get onboard and help get the nation back on track. He is only fanning the flames of discontent and division by lying to them.

He might also try not campaigning with Joe the Plumber. His choice of Sarah Palin as a candidate for Vice President (a position which, contrary to some reports, does not rule the universe and teach unicorns how to fly) casts serious doubts on his credibility. Spending even 5 minutes with 'Joe' the unlicensed, plumber does nothing to mend his credibility and puts him even further in this muck and mire he's created. But, I am all about a new ticket for the next race. Palin and Joe, 2012, and beyond. They wouldn't win (God help us), but it would a fun campaign to watch and it would guarantee Saturday Night Live endless material!

Seriously, this is not over until it is over. Despite all the polls, speeches and commercials of varying length and often questionable veracity, elections are decided by ballots not polls. Vote! Vote! Vote!

For instance "Obama is trumping McCain by 15 points, 54 percent to 39 percent. The margin was not as large in the last poll of polls which showed Obama ahead by 13 points". Sorry, but last time I checked 15 is larger than 13. I know you want to talk about the race narrowing, but the fact is that that set of polling shows a LARGE not smaller lead.

I like how the Republicans provide arguments of why their candidates are better, and the Democrats use poor grammar and spelling to talk about how great Barack Obama will be. Surely there's more you can provide to us than "Barack the Vote" or "McCain U suck, republacins(sic) R awful". Makes me wonder what the educational system will be with the Dems in power...although maybe some of you could finish high school then. No? You're right. There will be no incentive when the government will hand you whatever you want for doing what I suppose many of you do now (Little to Nothing).

Question for those who doubt polls. Why are the candidates campaigning in states like Ohio, Florida and Virginia? Since polls mean nothing to some of you, maybe Obama should go campaign in Tennessee and Kansas and McCain should start campaigning in Vermont and New Jersey.....really, since polls don't matter, perhaps they should just show up in random states.....I'm with you, I don't know what they are thinking......data are just a bunch of numbers, right?

We need overwhelming Democratic ticket victories at all levels to send a unified message to all America (and the Republicans in particular) that bombastic messages of hate, distortions and lies will no longer be accepted in political campaigns.
Maybe, then in future, we can have all contestants from all parties focusing upon substantive issues that affect our lives.
IF WE VOTE LOUD ENOUGH MAYBE WE WILL BE HEARD.THE BEST WAY TO SHUT DOWN THE GOP TACTICS IS TO MAKE SURE YOU AND EVERYONE YOU KNOW VOTES 100% DEMOCRATIC. GET OUT THE VOTE; TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED; IRRESPECTIVE OF THE POLLS.

I'm an old guy, almost as old as Sen. McCain, and I have never seen the type of campaign he's run in my life. I have been a republican for about 40 of my years, and early voted for Sen. Obama, along with my wife and her 80+ year old parents. He is a fine and decent man who has spent most of his adult life trying to help middle and low income people. If you consistenly look at "fact-check" on the claims made by both campaigns, you will find that MOST of the mud slinging claims made by McCain and cronies are either false or misleading. Very few of the Obama campaign claims can be considered misleading, and appear to be honest mistakes. I, for one consider liars to be the lowest form of humanity, and as so should not be considered as competent or honest potential leaders. As far as judgement is concerned, who can honestly believe that he chose his running mate as the best suited to replace him if necessary.? His choice was made for the single purpose of attempting to win the election.

Fred   October 30th, 2008 10:24 am ET

To all the angry Republicans:

Don't get mad at The Democratic Party and Barack Obama for what is about to happen to you.

Your party put itself into this position by going too far to the right including an unnecessary war, a failed response to a hurricane and not miding the store when ordinary Americans were getting cheated.

However, instead of being angry, learn from this. It is now time to spend a few years in the wilderness. Do some penance. Talk to Americans. Find out what you did wrong. Come back in a few years with new leadership and a new approach.

Remaining angry won't solve your party's problems.

Sarah Palin is a filthy liar. McCain's embracing her tactics just rubs the filth off on him.

Samuel (joe) the Tax Cheat (plumber) is just another lump of dirty scat added to McCain's campaign.

That the Republican party strategy can take such a disasterously foul and destructive detour only re-enforces the notion that the Republican party is terminally corrupt.

The Republican party hopefully will self destruct, and America will be then in a better place

McCain made his first mistake in selecting Sarah to be his running mate. I was going to vote for McCain until he selected her. If something were to happen to McCain (God forbid) and she becomes our President, that would be the true disaster. Then he started turning his campaign into a filth pit. THE SKY IS FALLING! On the morning of November 5th Obama, in an effort to reverse global warming, will use his powers as the Anti-Christ to transform 20% of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere into limestone which will then fall only on the homes of those who voted for McCain.

OK ... Maybe not. The point is that exaggerated, doomsday prognostications about Obama’s presidency are way out of line and don't a solve single one of our problems.

You guys – really. You need to settle down.

Now, I am voting Obama, and do not support anything McCain or Palin stand for, but if you vote Obama – do just that. Vote Obama.

You don't have to flip out and write in all capitals and sling mud every chance you get. Sure, the GOP has demonstrated how out of touch and backwards they are, and I vomit a little bit in my mouth each time Palin speaks, but that doesn't call for me or you to yell in their faces. Just tell them that they are wrong.

Fanatics are not needed. Fanatics get us into war. Fanatics get us into economic hardship. Fanatics shout racist things at rallies.

Being a Fanatic won't help anyone if it's just all the time out of control. Calm down. Disagree. Say what you think in a calm manner so you retain some credibility, and end it. If you don't like it, say so. People generally listen to those people who aren't hostile and shouting at them. And will react in kind.

I can no longer keep silent. Any American who is capable of thinking for him/her self will do one of two things. 1. not vote or 2. vote for Obama.
The respect I had for Mccain is now gone. I have seen this once a hero transformed to a low down, racist, and hateful individual. There is no truth in neither him nor his running mate.
I also urge "Preachers" to observe carefully the so called model of Jesus Christ that has moved on to the "world stage" so to speak. Take note because they are not teaching the office of the HOLY SPIRIT because if they were their members would not be saying "Palin is filled with the holy spirit."
"You cannot love God and HATE your brother because there is no darkness in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You are a child of the darkness." PALIN GO BACK AND READ YOUR BIBLE SPECIFICALLY THE FIRST EPISTLE OF JOHN.
Remember people of God, what God sanction no man can derail it.
May God continue to bless America because there are still a few in Sardis who have not defiled their garment.

As a first time voter, I am excited to see the possibility of Inidana going blue this year. The polls are closing, and for the better. Wake up Indiana, vote for the man who will actually follow through on his promises to get back and keep the jobs that we've lost from GM and Delco and other big plants that have closed shop and gone to Mexico. He wants to help you, not hurt you. The Democratic party was founded on the belief of the importance of the worker, the man who broke his back every day for hours on end just to put food on the table and lead a nice, simple life with his wfe and children. He supports you, he wants to empower you to be able to survive in this world that is placing less importance on hardwork and more importance on how easy something can be done, and those who make money simply from family roots. Now is your time to stand up and give yourselves a voice, since you've been giving up your right to work by voting for a party that feigns concern to you, but only has eyes for the money given to them by those who dont know what its like to loose a job to a less skilled worker, then be out of luck for the rest of their life with no other job training. Lets do this right this time.

McCain's campaign is nothing but a freak show. An aggressive 'in over her head' woman and a plumber who obviously was a plant from the start. He knows nothing and pretends to spout the McCain line. All any of them do is throw mud at Obama. These two campaigns are as different as night and day. Obama tells us what he wants to do for the country, and McCain and the freak show tell us how bad Obama is and how he is a terrorist and socialist. It was an easy decision for me.

I sincerely believe that this is a referendum on how our votes were treated in 2000 and 2004. America has finally decided that they will vote for the man who is the best one for the United States of America at this time. I sincerely hope that they are looking at the Constitution that states that all men are created equal and not fall back on their beliefs about racism, inequality, and injustice. America has sported a "black eye" for far too long, and what appears to be a small segment of the population has perpetuated it. No matter what the results of the election are ( and I am a Barack Obama supporter to the end), this country has had an awakening that will only propel us forward. It makes me feel extremely good to see how people are responding in this election. We all have something to lose, but everything to gain if this country can get back to her base which has made her a shining beacon to those in other countries who press to come here. They are not coming her to be shaped by racist views, but for the opportunity that they believe is available to them. This country has been held in the grips of a few who would seek to divide along racial lines and believe that the color of a man's skin defines their character. Thank God that this ERA OF AN ERROR IS ABOUT OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The vim and vitrol of some of the McCain supprters is amazing on this board today. He ran a strategically bad campaign. Obama said that he would consider public funding of his campaign but didn't. It was a smart choice on his part. The GOP hate/smear machine would have been in overdrive against him right now. He has the money to be able to fight the smears, and still keep his campaign in a positive light as viewed by the public. Who looks more calm, level headed, presidential? Enough said

As a Canadian, I like my countrymen am influenced by any major activity in the United States. Obviously, we watch from the outside and see how the actors play their roles.

As a middle of the road individual, I am quite perplexed by the "hostility" of the GOP towards the Democrats, in particular, the venom being spewed by Mcain/Palin and their entourage. The negativity meter should almost be broken by now.

In contrast, The Obama/Biden ad of last night was a thoughtful and informative presentation without denigrating the GOP.

The fact is , after inauguration, each party MUST collaborate with each other to stop the declining reputation of the United States. The way things appear at this point, the Democrats will have to be good victors and the GOP will have to be good losers and work together for the betterment of the Nation.

We watch with anticipation above the 49th

If the unfortunate happens and McCain is elected (through fraud–it's the only way he'll get in) then be prepared for the reintroduction of the military draft. McCain will have to do this to cover all the wars he's going to start (Iran and Venezuela first then we'll take a trip to Georgia to help out his 'friend').

McCain will certainly do this because he's angry, 'he knows how to win wars' and will need to lower the sky-high unemployment rate that 'his policies' will cause.

It'll be comforting to see those who voted for McCain in the trenches next to me.

Can't wait...it'll be fun...

Dawn   October 30th, 2008 10:00 am ET

If you vote for Mccain/Palin ticket, you will be in a war within a year...You vote for Obama everyone wants to move your business... We had 8 long years of Bush politics, the rich keep on getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer... My husband informed me last night where his company is laying off. This is Teamster Union. He is a Milk hauler and of course cows don't care who is running for President, but the dairies are taking less and less. From New Jersey to Land O Lakes dairy, to Penn Made to Hershey.

When a new President comes in, they have to go through all of the muck of the last President. Just ask Bill Clinton...

Vote not with fear,

Obama/Biden08/12

I have never been polled in my life. Is that not something wrong with this? I hope and pray it will be a hugh surprise coming next Tuesday night.

So, now McDummy has the Joe "the no pay taxes" Plumber with him campaigning. McDummy you called the right person to campaign with you because when your campaign is stopped up with crap, you need a plumber. That's what Joe Wurzelberger is qualifed for, to clean up crap.

California Voter   October 30th, 2008 9:59 am ET

With Obama spending $600 million in this election campaign, I find it totally silly for ANYONE to talk about the RNC spending $150 thousand on Palin. If you want to talk about extravagance, talk about renting a coliseum and putting up Greek columns, and talk about going to Europe to boast your "overseas experience". Obama has run an excellent campaign, and he is smart, however, he spends money like an elitist!
Amazing what you can do if you have money.

Rodney   October 30th, 2008 9:59 am ET

Hey "Beyond the hype" Maybe if you actually read the book, you would understand the context of these quotes. When you live life by soundbites, eventually you just become one. It's easy to see why people like you so easily confuse educated with elitist. You are too lazy to do the legwork yourself, so you rely on someone else's out of context quotes to mold and leave imprints on your silly-putty brain. Good luck with that – I hope it works out for you.

John McCain is having to run ads in his home state of Arizona, so what does that tell you about him? He is a complete failure. I wouldn't vote for him if my life depended on it. He had locked up the republican nomination at least three months ahead of Obama and to this day his campaign is still trying to get off the ground. McCain is too old and has no clue as to what to do to get this country out of the ditch that he helped Bush and the republicans put it in.

Steve the Canadian   October 30th, 2008 9:58 am ET

First, I'd like to say American politics rocks! Canada just had an election a few weeks ago and had a record low turnout.

Second, prior to the start of your election there stood two good honourable men. McCain, a very well respected senior senator who has a storied record of public service, and Obama, a young candidate short on experience but long on promise. I know that negative campaigning is an unfortunate part of modern politics, and I also know that both campaigns have had negative elements, but it seems that negativity is the central focus of McCain's campaign. Ayer, ACORN and Rashidi – who cares? If he had campaigned on the issues and stayed close to the right-of-centre he would have ran away with the election. Unfortunately for him, he decided to go far right with the pick of Palin and has resorted to crazy accusations has tarnished his honour and legacy.

Third, shame on you Elizabeth Dole.

I am Steve the Canadian and I endorse Barrack Obama.

Where did 6 pack Joe go? Joe the plumber is not a certified plumber plus he lived in Alaska for several years. Since he is not certified then he cannot carry the title.

McCain is who he is–RICH! mocking those of us who work for a living and are taxed to death calling us 6 pack joes and having Sara wink at us and hike her skirts up more and now wearing jeans like we are all idiots.

John in Gig Harbor   October 30th, 2008 9:56 am ET

A vote for McCain is a vote to send more jobs out of the U.S.. Just look at the tanker deal that should have stayed here in America. Now those tax dollars have improved the wealth of other nations by $40 billion minus cost. Those dollars should have stayed in our economy.

OBAMA/BIDEN '08!!

beyond the hype you are...way behind...people like you really have to stop these short sentences, and the 5 sec video clip watching, wake up, wheres the rest of the paragraph? did you really read the book? stop that crap please. We are done with the fear tactics, its pathetic to play on peoples emotions like that, give it a rest or go to fox. Not to mention when it comes to race would it be surprising to be confused growing up over what to think about your nation and how it acts towards other races after calling itself a "free" nation. An example is what the japanese went through that lived here after the pearl harbor attack, big surprise there for them to have doubts on both sides let me tell you. That email by the way has been circulating since puma showed its ugly face, go figure. Go aol!

Get used to saying President Barack OBAMA!!!

LIP   October 30th, 2008 9:55 am ET

We are about to travel that slippery slope from which there is no return. Once Obama becomes President, all the rules will change.
You will see our freedoms disappear. You will see an unprecedented increase in taxes on small and large businesses to help pay for all the entitlement programs that will be implemented.
Do the people realize that with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and Obama controlling both the Executive and Legislative branches and soon the Judicial branch, that this country will slide into an abyss from which we will never return?
"Fools walk in" was a good tune and it looks like it is about to make a comeback.

Ben   October 30th, 2008 9:55 am ET

Dear Wanna be Capitalist,
Enjoy your stay in Costa Rica. And please take the rest of your Repubs with you. You are apparently unable to think on your own so perhaps the warm weather will increase the blood flow to your brain. If you think McCain cares about you and anyone else making less than 250K per year, then you are the typical Repub sucker–relying on stereotypes and too lazy to learn the facts. I would love to be able to have folks join together and be one country trying to get back our respectability and standing in the world. Instead, we have Repubs who are so entranced with the Karl Rove way of thinking–win at any cost and to hell with how divisive we have to be–that we continue to be two countries split into thinkers and those that perfer to "go with their gut". We've had someone going with their gut for 8 years and he has moved our country into the gutter in almost every way. We need folks who can express their differences and then come back to rally around our president. Taking a bullheaded stance based on scary innuendo and every diversion imaginable doesn't do anyone any good. Until folks show some common sense and a willingness to be supportive of Obama if he is to win, I will be happy to get in the gutter with the Repubs and exchange punches. All day long.

Joe   October 30th, 2008 9:55 am ET

Obama will wipe away all the tears from their eyes. There will be no more sorrows, or pain, and we'll all live happily ever after.

Sam   October 30th, 2008 9:54 am ET

Mccain, give up already. Just retire and enjoy your wife's wealth life doesn't last forever. You can't do the job, we need a young president, someone who is well educated, open minded, understands the technology and its effect worldwide. You cannot run America on lies anymore, people gather their information from so many sources now that it is almost impossible to contain them. The old policies will not work anymore. We need a 21st century president not a 19th century one. Please disapear and take Palin with you.

Virginia   October 30th, 2008 9:54 am ET

Thanks, "Beyond the Hype", for the quotes directly from Obama's books. I had heard these being touted, but from really unreliable resources, so having it directly quoted makes me feel so much better that I am voting for McCain next Tuesday! People are fearful of the "change" that is being promised by Obama, and these two quotes give us reason to be fearful. Think and pray before you vote!!

Just put it all together.. The GOP ticket knows they are getting spanked this year. Palin letting it be known she wants to run for President. Republicans endorsing Obama. Secret meeting to discuss their future. The GOP is running scared.

I think we're in for an Obama landslide on Tuesday.

what a shame that John McCain and Sarah Palin will stop at nothing to show how “plastic” and “unrealistic” and “inconsiderate” they and their economic policies and every other policy issue on their political manifesto have been. They shamelessly parade and are still parading “alias Joe the Plumber” as the corner stone of their economic policies. Now we have found out that Joe the Plumber is a fake plumber and owes the state some huge amount in taxation as a result of Bush’s economic policies which of course John McCain and Palin are advocating.

undecided   October 30th, 2008 9:48 am ET

Well, Obama made his case last night.

If you listened to him, he almost sounded like a conservative, but he isn't.

That infomercial did last night was designed to FOOL people into believing that he is something that he is not. All he was trying to do, was to relieve peoples fears about who he is.

Is Obama the conservative that he tried to protray last night?? NO

Is Obama the moderate that he tried to protray during the general campaign?? NO

NO, Obama is an extremely LIBERAL left wing democrat with ties to RADICAL American haters such as William Ayers, Rev. Wright, Father Pflegler, Louis Farracon, and others.

And then you have Obama's deals with the corrupt Tony Rezko who now sits in jail.

And don't forget the people serving as Obama's finacial advisors, they worked for the FAILED Freddie Mack and Fanny Mae. One of them made 90 million dollars in just 6 years and the other made 10's of millions of dollars as well.

Add the over $800,000 that Obama's campaign gave to ACORN to get out the FRAUDULENT vote and you can see that we are headed for a very CORRUPT administration.

Throw Pelosi, Reid, and Dean into the mix and all I can say is God have mercy on us all.

After all, YOU are who YOUR frieds are.

The thing that really scares me is that if Nobama is elected and the democrats have control of both the house AND the senate then this country is heading for DISASTER!!!!!

Think about it for a moment America.

This country went to pot AFTER the democrats took of both houses of congress. The do nothing democratically led congress has an approval rating on ONLY 9%.

The banking committee is led by the democrats.
The SEC is led by the democrats.

**** WAKE UP AMERICA ****

Vote Obama – say goodbye to America, plain and simple.

John McCain, a good and decent man, has fallen in with a losing crowd. His selection of Sarah Palin as VP, totally unqualified, and his promotion of Joe the Plumber appeals to the lowest common denominator of the Republican Party. The advice he is receiving from his Staff has hurt him at every turn. This is an unfortunate way to end a political career that has served this country well.

John McCain has disgraced himself and the polls reflect that. On Tuesday the confirmation with none of the Ohio/Florida taint we have seen over the past two Presidential elections will confirm it.

Pancho   October 30th, 2008 9:41 am ET

We are hoping, of course, for a Democratic landslide of New Deal proportions. The Conservative Party (Republicans) have only one plank on their platform, which is to do nothing to solve the nations problems. Any change in the status quo will reduce the income of some wealthy person or corporation, and Republicans have a "let the market fix it" approach to everything, which is to say "do nothing." We have done nothing about America's problems for 25 years due to their total absence of leadership.

Beyond the hype   October 30th, 2008 9:41 am ET

Learn about this man Mr. Obama. Do NOT just go along with the promise of hope… I know we all need things to be better. Obama is not the answer he promises:

From Audacity of Hope:
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

From Dreams of My Father:
"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."

If that Khalidi is such a dangerous person, why did McCain (as chairman of the IRI in 1998) give $500,000 to Khalidi's foundation?

More importantly, why is CNN not covering the other half of this story or better yet, asking McCain this question?

Why do I have to go to other news sources to get the full story?

walk away from your !upside donw mortgage!   October 30th, 2008 9:40 am ET

because that makes all the financial sense to YOU.

you'll NEVER hear this advice from wall street thieves, for sure!

Mccain 08   October 30th, 2008 9:40 am ET

Just voted early for McCain in FL- Most of the people in line looked like McCain supporters.. I am not shocked.

McCain is a big coward!! Gave tax money to the PLO group in the form of grants. You call yourself a patriot because you vote for him? He is not even American.

John   October 30th, 2008 9:37 am ET

Please make sure that each of the Obama supporters actually votes and also ensures that they convince their friends and family to vote on Nov 4th. This entire poll numbers mean nothing if we do not vote. Remember that if you have to wait in line to vote it is a privilege; if you turn away because of long lines and if the wrong person is elected, and if we have to stand in line for handouts, that is misery.
Each one of you makes a difference so please vote for change and help our country to get strong again.
