Certainly hope Joe Lieberman (CONNECTICUT) can line up some
work after the election. Unlike Shay, he is a self-serving, sleazy and
repulsive politician... He should ask McCain if he can be "house-Boy"
in one of those Sedona homes ! Bye ByE

"...he remained skeptical the Illinois senator will govern from the center if he is elected president." (Chris Shays)

Governing from the center does not fall solely on the President's shoulders. In order for any President to govern from the center, partisanship in the Congress must stop! All of Congress must look to the needs of the people/the country....NOT to the needs/creed of a party.

Governing from the center also falls on the public's shoulders. As constituents, we must not look at a party and its creed. We must look at the good of the country and demand that Congress and the President do the same and work together.

That is how a President can govern from the center.

This really shows that when we give respect to others, we will get the same treatment from them, overwhelmingly, even Republicans have come to respect Sen. Obama, even when he's standing at the other side of the river, the reason being that the Illinois senator have never engaged in the smear, kitchen-sink- campaign. McCain, on the contrary has given Sarah Palin the go ahead to be attack dog, and then pretends that he's the one who's been unfairly attacked, as if we were all imbeciles.

McCain keep telling lies and trying to tie Obama to some one in the past to make him look bad today. They forget that McCain had ties to the same person and even gave large sums of money to the orgaization he founded. But McCain and Palin think people are too stupid to check on the facts. They jsut keep telling lies because in the REPUB Hand Book if you tell a lie often enough it become true.

Most of the rats got off the titanic before the people did. Let the GOP sucking up and ring-kissing begin. There is a name for "mavericks" that stand up against the Republican party. We call them Democrats and most of America will be voting for them this year. The only thing more satisfying then a republican politician sucking up to Dems would be to see Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly polishing Barack's shoes while Ann Coulter is forced to address Al Franken as Senator Franken.

Bush soiled the bed. Time to sleep in it now.

I have been disappointed in the McCain campaign. At some point it becomes obvious that if you can't manage to run a good campaign, your ability to run the Free World has to be a question mark. Obama's ability to understand complex issues and make appropriate responses leads me to believe that he is ready for this task.

Mr. Shay's...you have said the right thing. One thing that this Republican has done is tell the truth. If more of the people in your party did the same, the GOP would most likely not be in the shape its in today.

Bravo Mr. Shay's.

THE PLAN: Get Obama to agree to public financing so that the REPUBS - along with their NASTY 527 Groups will beat Obama with "dirty ads".

THE CHANGE: Obama figured this out and knew that he would need more money to FIGHT the Dirty Republicans - "Forget that public financing - I will raise my own money!!!"

$$$ DOWN: Dirty Repubs did not have enough money to FIGHT against Obama Campaign - 527 groups felt the "economic CRUNCH" like everyone else... OR was McSAME worth fighting for????
ERATIC: The REPUBS did not know how to run a CLEAN campaign because all they know is DIRTY - so the PLAN failed and they got CRAZY.

VICTORY: As a result of the REPUBS not knowing what to do, the Ads get DIRTIER and more NASTY and it turned most away. Obama "slipped" right on by and will come out on TOP!!!

OBAMA/BIDEN 2008-2016 - YES WE CAN fight DIRTY if we have to and still come out on TOP with CLEAN hands!!!!

I really liked John McCain in 2000. But the John McCain of 2008 is not the same person. It looks like he's sold out on every value and principle he stood for 8 years ago. He looks erratic, out of sorts, and uncomfortable in his own skin.

John McCain has ran a dirty compaign from the beginning and he is only a sidekick to Palin. For his age he should be more graceful but not. He seems to go off track and what makes him think that he can handle National Security because he was in the service so was I, that doesn't make him an expert. He spent most of his time as a POW. Maybe thats why he has lost his mind to think that he would make a better President. Its time for him to face it he's over the hill and we do need change, ( NEW CHANGE).

One could only wish that the rest of the Republican party would finally be HONEST and stop lying about the bad choice McCain made with Palin and the stupidity of "Joe the Plumber." The combination of the two makes McCain's attempt at winning the White House a complete farce.

McCain should admit that he has failed in his attempt to show the American people he has any form of leadership. He has already made some extremely bad choices during this election. Not only his choice of Vice President but his choice of running the most disgusting campaign on record.

Good Day.

I am a black man and I am going to vote for McCain for more of the same. White people make good bosses. I am a dishwasher for a predominately white restaurant. White people are good people I do not know why blacks complain so much. From time to time my white boss tells me I missed a spot as I shine the floor with my bare hands and on my knees. The white man tells me everyday I am one of the good ones. I feel so proud and am very proud to be a Black American..

Shays is a fraud who has swindled the people of southwestern Connecticut for the past few years. That will change next week, though, when Shay(m)s gets sent back to whatever hole he climbed out of.

TV endorsement ads from Michael Bloomberg can't save you! Get them off the air! No one in CT cares about what the wannabe-mayor-for-life of New York City thinks.

Republicans are a shame to their own party and John Mccain. Maybe they each ought to look at their record and ask themselves why they were a "rubber stamp" Congress for President Bush. At least in many ways, John Mccain stood up to President Bush. What a joke the Republicans have been. Honor and clean is not something the Republican party has been known for the last 8 years.

The Rebuplican party has lost it's way, they forgot the corner stone of their platform was for smaller government, low taxes, and support for the Constitutional law.
If you want to find these values, then join the Libertarian party.
Better yet start next Tuesday by voting for Bob Barr and the Libertarian party.

Governor Palin is a disgrace. I am so glad that I changed my voter registration to Democrat. I did this because of McCain's political tactics (dirty, dirty, dirty) and his choice of running mate. I can't believe that these so called Christians are playing this dirty. What happened to "thy shalt not bear false witness"?

McCain is no longer a maverick but changes his stance whenever it is politically correct. I no longer believe him.

Obama has preached the same message since the beginning. I do not want someone who is as "experienced" as McCain. His 90% supporting Bush should tell it all.

When will American's start voting on the man and not down party lines. If the Republicans/Democrats told you to give all your money away, would you????

This is the land of freedom of Religion and separation of church and state. Obviously the religious right doesn't know that. You must choose Christ as your saviour and to believe in God. It cannot be dictated to you.

Let everyone live their own lives, clean up your life, be kind to others, perform charitable acts, etc. May God help and bless us all!

That is really bad how this campaign has became so negative in all sort of ways begain with race, experience, comments on no each other past personal life. What happen to all people are equal that's stated in the Bible no one is above anyone. It doesn't matter if your green if you are the right person to run the United States then you run it. Why can't everyone sit down in a respectful way and communciate like we are all trying to fix the same problems. The problems in the world is not because some one is black or white, asia, etc. the things that are going on in the world today is attacking all. We are all affected. We as adults are sometime has to accept the good with the bad and stop pointing fingers. I must say this at first alot of people really back McCain saying alot of things about how he is, just look at the debates and his campaigning and see how angry he is. How do he respond to questions that his children ask him a question. Obama has conducted his self in a professional manner.
McCain is bringing up this of him when he was a child he has no control over that he was a little boy! Everyone now sees how McCain and Palin is being so negative that's what shifting the election we have enough negative things going on in the world today. McCain nor Palin has talked about what is going on in the world today, they only respone to the things that Obama say and try to twist it around and look where it has got them. I respect what you say about McCain as being negative he did this to his self him and his VP. Now mark my words he will say negative things about you disagreeing with him. Look how he did Bush he is the one that is trying all sort of lying, stupid comments how do he exspect for people to vote for him. The ones that vote for McCain will be the ones who are Republicans no matter what and choose not to vote for a man because of his race.
Everyone really needs to sit down and really look deep within theirselves and make a choose thats for them not because of the way they were raised or what their parents taught them. Think for yourself do you want the world to be like it has been for the last 8 years or do you want a change in all PEOPLE. God created all of us as equal if McCain and Obama was both cut on the arm what color is their blood?
Sure as hell not black and the other white! It's red so they are no different from each other.

Last night on Larry King and before when asked why he did not run an honorable campaign he said because he would not meet him in Town Hall meetings. In other words he didn't do exactly what McCain wanted so he threw a temper tantrum in the form of vile and scary ads. Wow I guess his mother should put him in a time out. Obama had just gotten of many, many, many debates in the primary why did want to do 10 town halls, one a week that McCain had already set up for him ) which was the same thing. I lose more and more respect for McCain everyday. Now he and his mouthpiece are spewing again but this time McCain has more ties to this radical than Obama did. It hasn't done anything for him but make people not want him as President. No one wants someone running the country who is so negative. Obama offers Americans hope that we can rise up from this mess Bush and Rove has put us in and McCain does not give us anything but smears. You have no message. Good for Chris Shay and I predict a landslide and I'll bet McCain barely carries Arizaona if at all.

My, my how the rats are jumping the ship. It's every Republican for
themselves now, isn't it? They are turning on each other and exposing
their true character in the process. The party is in shambles. The sad
part is that anyone who sat back and took a longer view could have
seen this coming. It started in earnest when the Republican party
pandered to the religious right and they, in turn, hijacked the party's
agenda.
Witness the backlash in the comments on Senator Dole's latest ad
attacking Ms Hagan.
There was a good reason why our founding fathers wanted a clear,
distinct separation between church and state. There was also a
good reason why they wanted the power to be in the hands of all the
people instead of a priviledged few.
The Republicans lost sight of that over the last 28 years or so. They
need to return to their ORIGINAL roots, the ones that go back 150
years or more and rebuild their party without the undue influence of
the elite, the special interests, and the right to run your lifers.

Thats right. mcCain has run a disgusting race and he can't blame it on Obama changing his mind about accepting donations. McNasty needs to change his tone but it may be too late.

I would love for John McCain to have to deal with his own medicine like this.... How "like life" is it that after trying to smear Obama for a year with unbelievable accusations, he now gets to enjoy the fruits of his own party's campaign style as EVERY Republican in the nation now tries to not only distance themselves from George Bush in hopes of getting elected, but now hope to distance themselves from John McCain also. So they are going to accuse him of crazy things and bad mouth him good. That's just awesome irony there folks. And it's another example why Republicans are some of the dumbest people you will ever meet - blood-sucking, wealthy, and dumb. Is this what they teach you to do in Sunday church, Mr. Shay? Is this what the baby Jesus would do, buddy?

Shays is absolutely right. and I can add my voice to that, McCain had made things worst for him and I can`t really judge if he can make positive decisions in future and take reasonable steps to combact problems. America is in a hard Position at the moment as far as the whole world is concern and it needs a steady and reasonable Commander to re-enstate America's Reputition. That is why I think with Obama with his present Advisers and well Organised Campaign, which had never been seen in Present day Politics can move with this modern times to fight back and turn things round.

McCain and Palin are really showing the entire WORLD how totally STUPID they are each time they try to tie Obama to somepast event where there is compelling evidence that the REPUBLICAN PARTY and John McCain were also involved. Now to more pressing issues that are current. Palin and her husband have very STRONG TIES to the AIP. This organization is more of a TREAT than anything Obama ever did.
By the way REPUBs are at it again this year trying to prevent people thye think might support Obama from voting. Also watch your vote make susre the machine did not change it to McCain while you were not looking. MAKE SURE YOUR VOTE COUNTS
