(CNN) - Even before the economic crisis, voters listed the economy as the top issue in the presidential election.

In a CNN.com special report, Battleground Voters, we talked to voters in five battleground states - Colorado, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio - to find out how the economy would influence their choice for president.

In the last of four parts, we talked to the unemployed, who say keeping jobs in their communities and in the country is key to their vote.

I own a small business and use to be republican.
When I see how bad our economy is and how many small businesses are closing I have no choice than to vote Obama.
I think he will bring this country back to where we are going to have employment and health care.

Look at all the polls in Europe and even China they all want Obama to win.
I think that tells us something. Are we blind here? Why would anybody vote for McCain and the same old politics. He is along with Bush responsible for this mess we are in.
If McCain was really trying to help us he would have done it way before election, afterall he has been in senate for ever.

Birds of the same feathers flock together:

As a pilot, McCain was in his cockpit shooting down the poor and the weak ("Thou shalt not kill; no exceptions, period) until he was captured.

As a candidate, McCain chose a lady who shots animals from her own helicopter cockpit- Cowards.

True heros of this nation include: those who "face" the enemy in battle; those who feed the poor and the hungry (e.g., Late Mother Theresa); those who fight for the small people; those who stand up for losers!

    *********PLEASE POST CNN************************************

Whoa, thought it was too quiet on the "far-right-side" today. But here they are!

@ BILL: you know what's so hypocritical of the Pro-life vote? That you want to force your beliefs down the throat of women who do not share your beliefs! BUT..........when Bush/Cheney LIE and attack a sovereign nation, Iraq, killing countless civilians and 4400 American Soldiers......that's okay? You are either for LIFE or you are not!

God calls us to value ALL LIFE......NOT JUST THE BABY IN THE WOMB!
    HOW ABOUT THE POOR?

How about the 4 MILLION American children who were DENIED healthcare BECAUSE BUSH VETOED AND MCCAIN VOTED AGAINST INCLUDING THEM IN THE .......S-CHIP INSURANCE?

ISN'T ALL...........LIFE.........SACRED? WHAT ABOUT THE EARTH? ITS CREATURES? THE ELDERLY?

You see, BILL, that the ISSUE of LIFE is much more complicated than JUST the Baby in the womb!

And its interesting that Catholics who vote "ONE ISSUE" want to force women to live by their values........but the SAME CATHOLICS DO NOT ALWAYS FOLLOW THE TEACHINGS OF THE CHURCH, BECAUSE WE, PRO-LIFE CATHOLICS USE BIRTH CONTROL! WHICH IS ALSO IMMORAL AND AGAINST THE TEACHINGS OF THE CHURCH!

    Hypocritical to judge and condemn!

By not telling the truth and not reporting seriously on any foreign affair issues CNN is supporting Obama in an unfair way. Where is the note about El Quaida's call to America to humiliate the Republican party?

You guys, make me sure turned off and not vote Obama.

Barack should be our next president and Sarah Palin's an idiot. If she put the word "also" in the wrong place again, I'll vote to have every English teacher in Alaska put in jail. What a moron.

Leigh, my friend. McCain is the past. Obama is the future. If you want four more years of that republican crap, your welcome to vote McCain. Bush and Cheney had so much experience, but they put the nation in a ditch.

Think again my friend. The past with experinece or the future with a brain?!

Under the Republicans and their policies, we have LOST jobs. Obama's plans and policies would help us GAIN jobs. This is a no-brainer. Ted, please do your research.....just listening to the Fox News soundbites by agenda-oriented, uneducated people, who are not real journalists, but are actually "entertainers" who are only promoting hate-mongering so people will listen to their shows does nobody any good.

Well i guess we will all be paying higher taxes because Richardson stated that the new Rich threshold is $120,000!!! First it was 250,000, then 200,000, then Biden told us 150,000 and now Richardson has stated 120,000. I guess Obama is getting his thugs to quote these so when he taxes us as rich, he can tell everyone, he wasnt the actual one who said it!!! Also what is this about Obama kicking off reporters/newspapers who backed McCain??? See he is putting Essence and Jet on his plane. Really a sad day Nov 4th will be if he wins!! Guess you Liberals will be supporting all of us!!!

Even employees at Cindy McCain Budweiser distributorship here have been laid off, so where's the jobs increases coming from as promised by McCain. Oh, that's right, Joe the Plumber, is now on his payroll? Thought Joe was a plumber, how can he afford to do all that campaigning with McCain and Palin?

The economy is all about supply and demand. The extreme policy focus on the supply side of the economy has finally starved demand away to the point that the economy can't keep running. More supply-side policy will only make the economy worse. McCain doesn't understand this, so he takes the supplt-side policy he's been spoon-fed as dogma.

If elected, McCain's going to make Hoover look good.
