Biden: Critics will call Obama the 44th president after Tuesday

Biden says GOP attacks are over the top.
Biden says GOP attacks are over the top.

KETTERING, Ohio (CNN) – Joe Biden always closes his speeches by telling supporters that once the election is over, they have to reach out to Republicans, even those who have conducted “scurrilous” attacks against Obama. The same critics, Biden said Friday afternoon, will be calling Barack Obama “the 44th President of the United States of America” after November 4.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we need to move past the politics of division and attack,” Biden told supporters at rally, the first stop on a two day bus-tour through Ohio.

“Over the past weeks, the Republicans have gone way over the top in my view, calling Barack Obama every name in the book, and it probably will get worse in the next three and a half to four days.”

“If you look at who he is, what he's done, and what he plans to do for this country,” Biden continued, “if you work for us in the closing days and choose hope over fear, after next Tuesday the very critics he has now and the rest of America will be calling him something else. They will be calling him the 44th president of the United States of America, our commander-in-chief Barack Obama!”

John McCain released an ad Friday that was void of any negativity or direct mention of Obama, but tells voters, "don't hope for a stronger America, vote for one." McCain's campaign manager Rick Davis told reporters Friday morning that their campaign would outspend Obama's in the closing days.

Biden delivered his campaign’s “closing arguments” in a high school gym in central Ohio, a swing state where CNN’s poll of polls suggests Obama leads John McCain by 5 percentage points, 49 to 44 percent, with 7 percent of the state’s voters still undecided. The Delaware senator's battleground state tour continues over the weekend, with more stops in Ohio, Indiana and Florida.

Did anyone see where they had to empty three elementary schools to fill up the gym for the McCain rally this morning. Desparation is really setting in. They must have been waiting for Ditka and the governator. What a joke.

It's weird to me that Obama is talking about the ECONOMY being his main concern, and how badly people are struggling . . .

and I'm getting weekly calls from his campaign for me to donate HUNDRES OF DOLLARS AT A TIME to his campaign so he could spend more than anyone in history.

Talk about talking from both sides of his mouth. Oh yes, that's what he does best. We're in bad economic times, but give me money . . .

  8. THE MCCAIN SHOW?

I'm glad I have the ability to fact check the GOP ticket. I'm amazed at their barefaced lies. One more thing, where exactly are John McCain's scars? In his mind. This guy has one big ego and an unrealistic snese ofentitlement. And what's up with the SNL appearance? His campaign is the only joke we need. Let Obama and Biden get on with running the country with dignity and honor, not cheap publicity stunts (like you). Next I bet he'll be campaigning with the Terminator in a vain attempt for street cred. Whoops! He already tried that gimmick. Four days and counting, John. Too little, too feeble, too erraatic, too geriatric, too wobbly, too untrustwotrthy, too foolish, too late. Happy Halloween!

I think it is great that democrats are going to be back in control of Washington for the first time since 1994. Perhaps now that Bush is out of office he can finally be tried for high treason regarding the inside job of 9/11.

If Sarah Palin wasn't so mean and nasty, I would feel sorry for her because I think McCain has ruined her political career by exposing her empty head. She was perfectly happy fooling citizens in Alaska. Her problem is, she thinks she is intelligent and she is not. My 11 year old knows more than she does about the V.P. role.

    Happy Halloween All!

If you want to watch something truly terrifying tonight HBO has a double feature – "Hacking Democracy" and "Recount"!

Let's prevent a repeat and get out and VOTE! I did it early here in NC for That One/Biden and it was GREAT! Right now NC is breaking toward the Dems with all the early voting – still not counting the chickens here until they hatch!

The Republicans are going to have to eat alot of crow this thanksgiving instead of turkey. After all we wouldn't want the republicans becoming cannibals by eating other turkeys would we? Although I've heard they would eat their own young to win, I think it's going to be a pretty easy transition for them to move into the Obama fold.

"Only in America is my story even possible. No red state or blue state...but the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" – Barack Obama 2004.

I decided way back in 2004 that if this young man ever ran for Presidence, he got my vote. 4 years on – and i believe my choice has never been more perfect. When the young, old, black, white, Asian, Hispanic, gays, straight, poor, rich,...all unite, then the change we need is just 4 days away.
    We love you O-BIDEN!

f the McCain team can't get a single plumber from one place in Ohio down the road to another place in Ohio how can we expect him to put tgether a team that can get 250,000 plus of our brave soldiers back from Iraq.

Jeus was a liberal by he way, so don't expect him to be on McCains side.

Just out of curiosity has anyone on these blogs seen a blog by a McCain/Palin supported who cited McCain's policies as a reason to vote for him in this election.

I read these blogs and some on other sites and just can't recall anyone supporting the Republican ticket citing a policy of why they are giving their support and how that policy will help America.

Obama – Cool, thoughful, intelligent policy that is well explained – a statesman

McCain – a new "-ism" for every day of the week (Racism and terrorism came first. Socialism didn't work either because both he and Sarah had to state in interviews that that is not the case. Then came Marxism, and so we go to communism ). Truly the man is out to inspire fear and terror. I think that that makes him a terrorist that we all should fear!! THIS time it isn't going to work!! Americans are sick of this erratic stupidity. This is not high school student council elections. This is for real.

JP if your reading this please google the Berg report and you'll see why a federal judge has said that Obama's birth certificate is authenic and there's many articles to support it.Go get alife. It's people like you and others commenting and smearing lies about this man that you have no facts to support.I say to you and others to go get a life. How would you like someone to slander your name or a family member's name they way this man' character have been executed.Shame on This is the dirtiest campaign as far as human dignity that I have seen.If you don't like him just don't like him but remember he like you have a family an d to think people are calling him a terrorist, unamerican and just tom think one of the things Obama said was families were off limits so don't you think that's ironic when people aren't thinking about how his family feel when these terrible accusations are being made for this country to see and hear.I hope you know a god because some day you may have to ask him for forgiveness when you find out this man(Obama is not who you thought he was.
