YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (CNN) - Mandatory stops on the GOP campaign trail this year: Pennsylvania. Florida. Saturday Night Live.
Two weeks after running mate Sarah Palin made an appearance on the late-night comedy show, a McCain campaign aide tells CNN that the Republican presidential nominee will appear on the NBC program tomorrow night.
The Arizona senator has appeared on the show several times over the years.
McCain's most memorable appearance on the long running show was in October 2002, when he hosted the program for a night: In a spoof commercial hawking an album called "McCain Sings Streisand," sang several of the Democratic loyalist's songs.
He's lost what's left of his mind. SNL will make dog chow of him. Grampa, NOOOOOOO!!!
SNL can't help you now, Johnny. Your party has almost destroyed our country, and we are taking it back. Go back to Arizona and stay there.
Let's hope he does the "creepy husband" skit again
Well this is fitting as his whole campagin is a joke...being on SNL is the icing on the cake!! Sorry John, you are a true American hero, but we do not want you as our POTUS!!!!
Theeeeks, but no theeeks.
Obama/Biden 08 baby!!
Hey, maybe he can tell that joke about the $3 million study of bear genetics in Montana. You know the one, where he says he doesn't know if it was a legal issue or a paternity issue. That one always gets a laugh!
If you cant raise enough money for air time ...
At least the script will be better .
The McCain camp is running the following robocall – completely without any support for any of these claims, and in fact their nature make them absurd in any case:
"Obama’s election invites a major international crisis he will be unprepared to handle alone. If Democrats win full control of government, they will want to give civil rights to terrorists and talk unconditionally to dictators and state sponsors of terror."
I almost couldn't beleive what I'd read, and can't imagine voting for these people – just lies and more lies – anything at all to win... Every point has been clearly refuted both by the Obama campaign and the media. Now a no-brainer – Obama/ Biden 08/12
HOW SAD....MCCAIN HAS SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE AND OBAMA HAS CLINTON AND GORE!
Desperate times call for desperate measures! Maybe he'll bring the village people with him!
I've got a good feeling about this one.
Oh Magoo, you've done it again.
Trying to start a new career? A great team with Palin.
Maybe he and Bush can get fulltime jobs on SNL. Bush will be w/o a job soon.
why is SNL trying to help the Repubs by bringing them on so close to election day?
Who's the celebrity now?
Hes funny alright, pretending to be a real canidate!!!!!!!!!!!
Please do. Don't change your strategy now. It's working for Obama so far.
It's a little late to exhume pre-2003 McCain at this point in the election. If the guy who appeared in McCain Sings Streisand, the guy who decried the Bush tax cuts and Karl Rove's smears had run in this election, he would be winning. But he died about five years ago.
Maybe he could bring Palin and his faked plumber for a clown parade!
McCain has run the most dishonorable campaign I've seen in my life time. I have lost total respect for him as an American. I will honor his service, but that is it. His radio ads in Missouri are nothing but scare tatics!
Go for it Senator-
If it has the same impact as Gov. Palin's , Obama will win in landslide. I wouldn't be surprised if he suspends his appearance to fly back to OH for a high level meeting with Joe the plumber.
Erratic, irrational: Not ready to lead our country
Vote for intelligence in the whitehouse
No to student #894 of 899
No to the sports journalism major
Thanks for the heads up so I can be sure to read a book instead of watching. McCain has burned his bridges at my house during this campaign. I've had enough of his toxicity and have no desire to see him or hear him, my friend.
He should...he is definately a joke!
Desperate times call for depserate measures? Um... OK
I guess if you cannot dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with...
We here are hoping this is his job interview, It's good when people find there true calling good for you John I plan to be a regular viewer.
Keep the material fresh and funny....
