McCain to hit seven states on last day of campaign

McCain is planning a campaign blitz.
McCain is planning a campaign blitz.

(CNN) – Republican presidential candidate John McCain will campaign in seven cities in seven states on Monday, the day before Election Day, campaign manager Rick Davis said Friday.

The exact itinerary has not yet been nailed down, he said. McCain and the Republican party expect to outspend his rival, Democrat Barack Obama, by $10 million in the closing days of the campaign, Davis said.

CNN's Poll of Polls shows McCain trailing by seven points nationally, and CNN's Electoral Map suggests Obama is well ahead in the race for electoral votes.

Push hard to the end it's all any candidate who's behind can do
hmm i don't think this comment is partisan enough to get posted
which is a disturbing trend for CNN you guys have never posted my
comments guess there not divisive enough for your Site.

And that's too bad because i thought you guy's have been the least partisan news network this election after all McCain supporters think
your biased and Obama supporters think your biased that tells me your doing your job right "Communist News Network my butt." more like Centrist News Network. you see i am an Obama supporter but i hate partisan attacks so i hope some of you fellow Obama supporters get your act together and don't add to divisiveness.

Isnt McCain's plan to buy out failed mortages Socialism? It's taking my tax dollars and giving it to Joe the unlicensed plumber that lives down the street. Double standard to the nth degree.

I look at the electoral polls and see the vast red areas. They don't seem to be very close to any higher education. Is this is coincidence?

Oh my, can his age and health allow him the stamina to be able to do that? What is going to do, give 20 minute rallies in each state? I'd be interested to see what cities and states he goes to. They better release them soon, otherwise no one may show up. Most voters who've yet to vote will already be taking some time off from work to go vote on Tuesday, so who in the heck is he expecting to take time off on Monday to come see him speak?

Sorry McCain, but these Independents have already voted for Obama! Perhaps if you had been the old McCain of 2000 and had not picked Palin as your VP you could have gotten our votes, but we are firmly behind Obama/Biden now.

    Independent but Leaning:

Oh shut up. You don't have a clue what socialism is. And you certainly don't have a clue that our country already functions with various levels of socialist principles. And where did they start. Ask McCain's hero Teddy Roosevelt. Ask FDR. And oh yes, ask Ronald Reagan, the engineer behind the Child Tax Credit which is a pure example of redistributing the country's wealth. Go away Independent, perhaps all the way to Cuba.

When Larry King asked McCain if he believes that Obama is a socialist, McCain answered "No". When a lady said she's afraid of Obama, McCain said "No, he's a decent family man. No need to be afraid from him".

So, if McCain is honest, then who's spreading this "socialist" and dirty stuff? If McCain is dishonest, then ...

Take it easy McCain. A 72 year old man with health problems cannot compete physically with a physically fit 47 years old man.

McCain and palin cant get along now !! What will they bring to the white house? Anger, a divided nation. And will they listen to the people or only to themselves? I am a small business owner and i see great things in store for us if obama wins. I would gladly pay more taxes if it means to do my part in the cure of our nation. I cant afford to pay employees now and must work 7 days a week on my own, 10 and 12 hours a day. Believe me i wish i made 200,000 a year let alone 250,000. So to all these small business owners who are not willing to help our nation, all i can say is shame on you. What happened to 9/11 when we were a nation that pulled together and stood together and overcame. I love my nation and always will................

    God bless obama

McCain–it's over. Go back in your little hole along with Sarah Failin', Joe-the-unlicensed plumber (Thank you AC360), and all your anti-change cronies. You lost.

    Change we need!!!

    Obama 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CNN, I am really disappointed. I really thought that you were making a real effort to remain unbiased, but the more I see, the more I am convinced that you are so far up John McCain's you-know-what it isn't even funny. From Lou Dobbs to the blantant refusal to air Obama's 30 minute ad, you are being so obvious it's sad. How does it feel to be the new Fox News?

Poor guy, he's too old to be doing that. My grand parents can't even visit seven relatives who live on the same block in a day. Are they crazy?

Too late McCain, I already voted for Barack Obama. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, you repugnants can keep your divisive ideas. By the way, liberal means open-minded, is that such a bad thing?

Obama supporters are truly the lowest of the low. You can never argue based on any concrete facts or logical arguments. You can only resort to name calling and disgustingly low-rode attacks. John McCain IS an American hero and as such he deserved your respect, even if you do not want him as your President. Obama has never stood for change in his entire political career. He has always towed the line of his party. You people are so desperate that you look only at his "beautiful rhetoric" instead of his frighteningly short and unaccomplished record.

For those of you that insist on putting your head in the sand about Obama, and only see the BEST of him, answer me this - How do you explain his "socialist" (that's right, I said the S word) tendencies to "deny the press" that don't agree with him. For those of you that haven't heard (because CNN hasn't reported it yet), just today they announced that he has decided to "remove three reporters from his plane that endorsed McCain". His reason – not enough room.. EXCEPT - in the past, presidential campaigns that had too many people and not enough room on the plane – GOT A SECOND PLAN. No money for that – we all know that's not true.. No time for that – in the past presidential candidates with a lot more events (5-7 per day) were able to manage two planes without issue.. Well – at least he was fair about who he kicked off - wait, no – he only removed those papers supporting Mccain. Let me guess – you're all going to argue – Well good for them!! Those reporters don't deserve access anyway - except, what's next – he starts dictating what stories can be broadcast?? Freedom (and access) of the press is a fundamental RIGHT, RESPONSIBILITY, and OBLIGATION.. even Obama supporters should speak out against this one.. If he IS elected, he needs to know that we as Americans will not tolerate surpression of the press. (CNN - I know you support Obama, it is obvious in your stories, but please post this – and report on it - its important for us to know this and its important for you too – and feel free to remove any and all references to your station.)

I lived in Az from the age of 9 to about 29 which included the Reagan years. The state as a whole had terrible schools and a terrible economy. It was also overwhelmingly Republican. It was growing up in Az that I decided to be a Democrat. The political base there is one of the main reasons I moved to MN. For McCain to even be in danger of losing AZ is quite remarkable. Good for you, AZ!

AZ citizens are comprised of the rich and white and then everybody else.
